I will say where me and Innue differ is that I won't allow you to charge multiple spells in the same around. I won't even do it with Kei'Taro and his tattoos. What I will allow, however, is beginning to charge one on one turn, and in the next locking it and charging another, as I do with Kei'taro
.

For example

Kei charges Thunderbird.

Next turn

Satisfied with the one cycle, Kei switches his energies to charging Kusanagi, setting up a potentially fatal combination move between his two abilities.

Myron can't really 'charge' multiple spells at once, he can't charge many of his spells at all! I don't think it'd be right to say he cannot prepare multiple runes at the same time, though, especially since some of his runes are combinations. Making it so it's impossible for him to use certain spells until a 5 turn cap is met would put him at an extreme disadvantage. Certain powerful spells that can be enhanced, he has access to, similarly to charging, but they definitely can't be done in one turn flat. This is where I've constantly mentioned that if T1EA was applied, I'd still be able to say Myron played by the rules.

I'm contemplating the draw right now, I'm gonna' be busy all weekend, so I'll get back to you on that. Feel free to mention what disadvantages Corban primarily suffers outside of T1EA, okay, @Divinity?

@Dazsos
Corban doesn't really suffer outside of T1E. He would only suffer if multi preps were allowed at this stage because your character as I recall has already begun doing so, well before I knew it was being implemented. Even if not, I'm not entirely crazy about a multi-charge/prep system for reasons explained above. Things are ridiculous enough as is, wouldn't you say?

Alright, I'm back from my expedition. Here's my outtake on options.

1. We could use T1EA. However the only way I'd be willing to work with this, is if I could see a complete list of abilities and spells Corban is capable of. I know you said he doesn't have one, but that doesn't mean he can't. Even if spells can be mismatched, only the archetypes would count.

2. No T1EA, we play by the judge's words. Some aspects of T1EA will apply, such as charging multiple powerful spells at the same time. Not every prep will beat a non-prep. See that barrier of Myron's? You'll need to figure out how to break it, not just overpower it with magic.

3. Decide on a result. A draw would let us forget about everything, but I'd rather witness the fruition of the tactics in play right now, so if you give me a good reason as to why their evenly matched, I'll consider the tie. This is my first time using Myron strictly for combat, and he's a main character in my story, so I want to play around with him a bit more. Forfeiture would be a loss in exchange for sweeping this battle out of sight and out of mind.

I leave the choice up to you now, @Divinity.

1. I do not have a spell archetype list outside of the ones in the expanded sheet I'm using for the arena rp. That sheet particularly goes more into detail on Corban's concepts and skills. If that doesn't satisfy you, then this option is moot.

2. For obvious reasons I'm not much of a fan of whatever rubric Innue uses for judging. I already have a concept in mind that should break that barrier, at least if we're abiding by any laws of physics, but that doesn't matter because your ability has no listed or conceivable weakness. It simply is a phase of dividing 'space'. I'm all for tactics, and working around things, but you can just say that nothing effects it, and you already did, and then telling me to 'figure it out' is cheap and flimsy as far as I'm concerned. Especially for abilities like these, some kind of limit or balancer like preps should be in place to avoid situations exactly like these. So preps both being able to be multi-charged and then not allowed to be factored against defenses or attacks, preps effectively become useless. I don't need to explain how this so plainly benefits your character.

3. I won't plead a case to strike a draw. Anyone reading would more than likely understand why that option was on the table. It still is, but it is what you choose, not me. Earlier you said you won't 'look a gift horse in the mouth', so I'm assuming you'll take it. So have it.

1. Alright, can I have a link to the full list of Corban's 'conceptual skills?' A full list of archetypes in my idea would be mandatory, but let's see what you have. If you're talking about the one you already sent me, that one doesn't really satisfy my worries.

2. If you can't figure it out by the time we conclude this fight, I'll tell you the barrier's weakness.

3. If #1 is the sheet you already sent, then yeah, I guess I'll take the win. It's not as glorious as I would've wanted it to be, as I'd rather keep the fight going, but... whatever works.

1. I'm not sure what sheet youre referencing. If you mean the one I have in the character tab, then no, that isn't it. And this idea of yours, whatever it may be, wouldn't work if it required this difinitve list regardless, for reasons touched on forever ago.

2. This doesn't address anything I said, but reinforces the 'cheap and flimsy' thing I aaid. And since we're not continuing this, I can tell you my plan. It was to use gravity to warp the barrier. If it is a phase of Space, then logic dictates that gravity>space, as physics would tell you. If this could not stop the barrier, and no energy, attack, magic, or antimagic can stop it, then the 'weakness' this barrier has is so insignificant and so abstract as to not be a functioning 'weakness' at all.

3. Yeah, it's all yours, bud.

Well, if the win is ascertained, I guess it's no issue to reveal.

Other means of spacial warping and gravity fluxes would effect it, some might break it, others would just bend its shape. The easy way to destroy the barrier is to strike directly at the ground where the rune is located. The outer rim of the rune is only as strong as whatever substance it's written on, whilst the rest of the barrier may literally seem indestructible. Currently the active barrier's weakest point would still be as strong as adamant, but I was sure if you figured it out, Ishtalle would be able to eventually cut in to adamant enchanted ice.

Good game, well played. I'm slightly sorry for being such a cunt, although I've always been aware of how intolerable I can be. If we're forced to fight again in a tournament or something, I'll be willing to play by T1EA; and I'll use a character who doesn't suffer by it.

@Rilla Hey dude, look. I won by being a total anal nuisance. Aren't you impressed?

Ah. We'll it's good to know my intellect wasn't wasted! I guess I can reveal my endgame plan, too. That crystal in the air? It had a kinetic barrier erected around it. The Kinetic Barrier, in the middle of a storm would absorb all of the friction, and in this case, lightning to power the crystal within and incubate it for its transformation into essentially a sword as long as a bolt of lightning made out of the husks of dead stars. Crystal would have been the trigger, fitting herself into the openING to funnel her power through, turning it into a monstrous Godslayer Edge. The end result? A giant space-sword with powerful local gravity effects. It would drop like a bolt in terms of speed, and would rend any defense to ribbons. Depending on the situation, I may have even thrown a powerful dispel over it to cover my bases.

If that failed then I would have started preparing the hugest Starlight Buster you've ever seen >_>

It's a shame we didn't get to see the beauty of that unfold. In any case, I had a lot of fun in the beginning, and I tend to not harbor ill will toward others over long periods. So good job everyone!

It's a good thing my aim was to absorb that storm in to the void. That tactic would've flied way better outside of T1EA, from how I see it, it kind of appears like a prep working in the background of other preps. But I guess one whole turn of focus all of a sudden would fit it in. If we did go with T1EA, and I just stacked turn after turn of fortified defensive preps, we'd have came to a stalemate mechanically.

How would you absorb an entire storm? You are aware the storm spanned an entire country, right? Nor did it function like a background prep, primarily because it was the only thing I was charging/prepping at all. The other actions like the tornado were totally natural side effects caused by the prep.

Edit:Actually, I'm not sure we'd end in a stalemate either, considering Corban's skillet is primarily geared toward breaking defenses. The ability of Godslayer Edge is literally to ignore powerful defenses. If they were equal in preps, then the one with the advantage would would take the cake. Given GSE is meant to stop defenses, it would logically take that cake. Then again, with how Innue meets out judgement, that facet of my sheet could easily just be ignored and thrown out.

Now we duel in the hypothetical?

It's taken me a month to care enough about battling hypothetical arguments again about the redundantly hypothetical. I do so, in the most drunk of tenses, and I hope never to insult with these random etchings in to eternity's vast buttocks of cybernetic space.

Well Myron too is packed with over-powered abilities that could be made in to slang OP over several turns of preparation that might block extreme offenses such as lightning bolts and time paradoxes. I was not initially expecting to use them, and I assume they would take too much for my feeble fingers to write how many preps it might take to summon them.

Perhaps it is I who should forfeit?

I don't know, does it matter? Oh great entity that depicts what is important later, would you mind dictating what comes next?

Oh?

You don't give a shit, either? I totally understand. Let's go do something important with our lives, like make money, or wax our genitalia.

Sorry for the late post, but I've got some maintenance to handle.

Who won. Or should I just leave it.
