Good day to you M'lady. The best way to start out on this site is to figure out your writing style and length. I'd recommend looking at Casual and seeing if your writing length is similar to users in that thread.

• Read the rules. Most of it is self-explanatory, so you can really just skim. It's mostly to just play nice, don't spam and keep adult content in PMs.
• Also, read the rules of any Roleplay that you're in. GMs vary and so do their rules when playing!
• Try to find a section depending on how you are writing or want to write! Free is one-liners, Casual is a few paragraphs and Advanced is many. Sections such as Arena, Nation, Tabletop and 1x1 are a mixed bag for levels of writing since they're mostly interest based.
• Roleplays can be a commitment, so I'd recommend only joining ones that you're very interested in.
• Don't be afraid to GM your own story - most people assume they're going to be bad at it and it usually isn't the case.
• Try not to join too many Roleplays at once or else you'll overwhelm yourself rather quickly. It's not very fun.
• Enjoy yourself! Roleplaying is a hobby and not a job. If it feels stressful, then take a break.

Stay away from the spam forum as much as you can, you will end up like many players and be stuck in an endless downward spiral into oblivion.
