The similarities are a bit numerous, yeah, though the warrior/rogue split between them drives them different ways. I don't blame you for not reading all the sheets beforehand, there's so many of them, haha. I still haven't given them all good reads.

I'm not bothered, though, no. I happen to know that Fiona interacting with thiefy types is pretty fun :)

I think it would be interesting to see how their relationship would develop. They have very different upbringings, and they both have dealt with their hardships in different ways. While Fiona might chastise Finch's way of life, so they would butt heads often, but she might also have sympathy with him and bond over their mutual losses to the Dominion.

@Spoopy Scary I am loving Finch. The total lack of combat prowess is going to be very interesting to see in action. May I ask what steered you away from hand-to-hand as a means for self-defense? I don't ask as a critique, actually, I debated on going with a follower of Mara who preferred other means than killing. No matter the reason, I do find Finch an interesting sort and hope to see more!

Thank you so much!

I was debating whether or not he would have anything to defend himself with in the first place, like maybe have Speech as one of his somewhat proficient skills, but decided that his charisma as a beggar wouldn't be so great, and his pessimism might keep him from being a strong orator. It also wouldn't be beyond him to slip a small crossbow so that, when he could, down a couple of wild animals should he have to eat. But back to the original point, no, he's not a fighter. Hand to hand can come in two forms, strength to overpower, which Finch doesn't have the build for, or dexterity, which would require some form of specialized martial training which Finch wouldn't have had access to. Even if he had, it's more ingrained in his personality to avoid fights, having been a kid sheltered in the Imperial City and being rather shy and soft-spoken back then. Even after, as a defenseless street urchin, the key to surviving is pretty much avoiding trouble.

Okay I think I'm gonna do something different than an Argonian thief.

Mmm, it'll be a bit while I give it a think. I do want something quite unconventional to play. XD

Enjoy the peruse yo~ I'll probably look through it again tomorrow with a pair of fresh eyes to fix any errors I might have missed today.

Edited: Cleaned up some grammar and fixed Atronoch to Atronach. Will still go and edit again tomorrow.

Because I'm immensely self-absorbed curious and bored, does anyone feel like giving me some feedback and/or critique on Maulakanth?

@Hank, I'm no GM, but I feel like the love-child of Satan and Cell just isn't going to pass. ;)

Seriously though, Maulakanth would seem outlandish for my taste were it not for the intricate -- and quite frankly compelling -- background story you crafted here. I did not know much about Orcs in The Elder Scrolls aside from their brutal tactics, so how much you created fresh versus how much was already established is blurred to me. I did notice the light reference to Judaic demonology in your naming choices, though, and I feel it reflects perfectly with how Orcs are displayed in-game. I really do love it! Specifically though, Maulakanth is clearly an intense character. I appreciate your engaging competitive nature gone too far here especially. I really could see Maulakanth fighting over a decision with someone like Faruq, physically hurting him in the process, and creating this tension. Eventually perhaps he will have to adapt to a culture less competitive where such single-mindedness creates more punishment than reward. I digress, I am very fond of this connection between disturbing strength and entitlement. My only critique would be that I am surprised you did not go further with his use of strength potions. From my reading, Maulakanth has a compulsion to be superior -- not a desire. In a culture requiring one to kill their chief to advance he is exceptional. In my mind the fact he uses strength potions at all is a symptom of fear that he won't be enough, and perhaps that he's become dependent, like a juicer does to steroids. Honestly, this is just seasoning by this point. I really like Maulakanth and see him as a healthy dose of chaotic power that makes even quiet character developing scenes a touch dangerous.

Thanks for the feedback! I actually think the idea you suggest that Maulakanth is addicted to strength potions is both hilarious and perfectly fitting -- I might steal and implement it.

As for the Judaic demonology, Mauloch is an established name of Malacath, or another aspect of him, in the Elder Scrolls lore.

@HankI love the idea of the juicing Orc, that's fantastic.

I'll be reworking my own character sheet as it's unfinished and since there are now 3 mages at the College in the same time frame, I'm going to change it up and just have my Breton learn in Highrock. I have until Friday, I'll get it sorted out.

I just really hate writing character sheets. Just out of practice.

The college is a pretty big place, since it's been flourishing I can imagine the student population increased to reflect that as well. All three have been in their own schools of magic as well, so it's entirely possible they don't recognize each other if all three sheets were to be accepted of course.

True enough, but the more I read about Breton mages the more I felt her being an apprentice and working in a temple made more sense. I've done some more editing.

Though I am interested to see how Mirabel, Gaela and Kiralla would interact. Illusion, Alchemy and Conjuration are very different in their own respects and could create some level of...disagreement :D.

@Spoopy ScaryOh man, I am not sure how that would go down. Jex holds no grudges against Orcs, but then again he's been working for/killing them for years. He's probably heard of Maulakanth. @Hank They'd probably be allies, until Maulakanth grows increasingly angry, which in turn makes Jex like a wary crocodile, then it'd be like Godzilla vs King Kong lmao.
I do like him a lot though. He seems really brutal. Like Grom Hellscream in appearance but Garrosh Hellscream in temperament.

@idlehandsLovely character btw!

Gotta say I am loving the Orc @Hank. Biased as I might be towards the race, it is a interesting charachter by its own merits. Like stated by other more eloquent then me, the compulsive drive towards strength is a exellent narrative vessel to create tension and charachter development down the line.

I feel this charachter gallery is increasingly interesting. Not a dull one in the bunch! I hope I get to play with y'all.

Edit; Also, if anyone wanna comment on my dunmer, feel free to do so! (I am almost as vain and self absorbed as hank bored and curios)
