I don't think I've seen any of them made after Son of Batman. Flashpoint Paradox was ok to me, but the SoB (lul) and Justice League: War drove me away from it all. I don't think I'm missing out on anything.

I quite enjoyed Flashpoint, War and Throne of Atlantis.

Flashpoint was a bit ugly but a lot of fun (especially the Young Justice Aqualad cameo), War was dopey but enjoyable, as was Thrones though it had some massive plot holes. I did laugh out loud when Aquaman said 'Outrageous' in Thrones though.

I may watch Thrones purely to witness that one scene. XD

Unfortunately, it's not even a scene. He just says it after doing something cool as an afterthought. I actually thought the voice actor sounded kind of dismissive or embarrassed by the line, which is ridiculous. He was borrowing from the greatest on screen Aquaman to date.

War with the Batman and Green Lantern bit cracks me up. Honestly, Douchebag Superman in that movie is also fun.

Unless it's Superdickery, douchebag Superman is never fun. >:[

Yeah, like I said, War is a lot of fun to watch as long as one lets go of one's wish for the characters to be similar to their comic book counterparts or for the plot to make too much sense. Silly fun, a bit like an 80s action film.

My computer died, working on a replacement.

Still available, and Jinny can still get ahold of me a number of ways.

Patience appreciated. ^_^

I like how in War, Batman had this smirk whenever he was near Green Lantern. He couldn't even brood properly when dealing with the Lantern kind of stupid.

Unfortunately the "pink" (or violent in this particular game) is taken. All ranger spots are taken, except for the 6th ranger (not far enough into the game to introduce one, but we have 2 players that hope to become 6th ranger once the time has come).

See, I only ever watched the original. I was thinking OCing the original American TV team, but almost doing a Nolanverse approach to it: make it as weighted in the real world as possible. Who knows if anyone else would've even been interested in such a approach, though.

Well mine isn't quite as heavy as the Nolanverse, but it is a "darker" approach to Power Rangers. Take a gander, see if it catches your interest.

@RubyAs a fan of Super Sentai at least, I kind of think if you try and make it "realistic" you end up losing basically everything that makes it... Well, what it is. ^^;

Closest thing to a "realistic" series like that would be Go-Busters (which unfortunately isn't getting a Power Rangers adaptation due to low toy sales in Japan >:\ ), and even then that's kind of... A bit wacky. XD

Question for the villains:

Is there a system in place if a crime lord wants to "float" a contract to the various rogues?

I don't recall ever hearing specifics, but you'd have to think someone or some thing has to be in place for such an ocassion, right? Maybe Cobblepot?

That I understand, and you don't take out any of the magic, just rather focus on the rangers having actual lives and actual problems fists and giant robot dinos can't necessarily fix.

Ah, I see. XD I'm fine with having it be more character driven honestly, since that's one of the main reasons I prefer Kamen Rider over Super Sentai, so yeah.

Ironically, that's exactly what the next Sentai after Go-Busters did. Kyoryuger had a 30/40-year-old guy who was helping his sis raise his niece. Though that's as far as that show went. It originally also had the rangers work separately, like, they don't come together to transform, but rather transformed individually then arrive at the fight which was actually cool and could help flesh out that exact idea...

Unfortunately, Kyoryuger was one of those Sentai/Ranger shows that also had a huge helping of "Huh? They're a team? NAAAAAH, the Red Ranger's the only ranger here!"

Now, in fairness, Dinosamba Red was literally Jesus. The team was just tagalongs.

That's my assumption, tbh. Cobblepot would know how to find people, as well as keep tabs on allies and enemies alike. And of course set up a meeting. For a price. Easy enough to set up.

Throne of Atlantis is the only reason I can stand Aquaman not being in the JL War League origin. I thought putting his origin into that film and making him not be affiliated with Atlantis until that point was brilliant. Kinda violent though, didn't know a dozen scientists and naval officers get slaughtered in the beginning of the film and I put it on for my six year old for his bedtime movie. He was all like "daddy, are you crazy putting this on?!"

Throne of Atlantis is by far one of the standouts in the bunch of animated films I've seen.
