Willy, the more colonies you have on the east, the more wars of reconquista we can have. This is a good thing. Also, we need to work out the details of our war, at least in brief. I'm open for whatever.

Well it wasn't really due to elves wabtinf to impose thier religion, they wanted to mislead the king to ruin his own kingdom. Thry just used it as a catalyst.

Oh, and I added Society and Economy to my CS.

Still WIP.

That's exactly the point!
I want to have more colonies for more messes to happen. I don't plan to give up my territories without a fight but I am all for a fun story.

As for the war, I think we can collab that in PM. Contact me once I did my history first.
BTW, when did you plan to secede from my nation?
I thought either the late 18th century or sometime the 19th century. Theorizing the game has the same timeline as real world.
If not then sometime between twenty to slightly less than a hundred years ago.
What do you think?

<Snipped quote by LokiLeo789>
Well, you dubbed all other forms of magic as heretical. That does sound like religion being in play.
I don't mean you adopting Arvandor but perhaps an influence of the elvish beliefs.

BTW, @Zugzwang.
What if your nation has a variation of Arvandor as their current religion? Or given you are a fascist empire what if this is exactly the reason why you are anti-religion in stances? To stamp out the harmful elvish influence.

@Jotunn DraugrYour claim clashes with @Zugzwang to practically 100%.
How about moving it to the central continent?
It seems nations are more developed in general over there.

Ah jeez. Alright I'll take another look at it, although I'm keeping most of the islands. Trade empire after all.

I have some interest in this. Two questions though, is the middle continent the "colonial" continent and is there an official, and updated map?

@Willy Vereb

I wrote in my history ~40 years ago. I wanted to base their modernization off Japan, who modernized very quickly and could field a first-rate modern army within about 40 years of modernization. And of course they won't be given away without a fight! But at least at the start of the game Bvaltlund is going to be ready for vernichtungsschlacht

Ulf is currently staying in power thanks to propaganda, wealth and revanchism. Anything that casts him as the defender of tradition and the destroyer of elves would be good for him. I should probably flesh out Bvalt religion, it's got some weird moralist tendencies which will be fun to play with.

@Lauder, this is somewhat important: what is the state of non-magic technology. The 19th century is pretty broad. I assumed the late period or the turn of the century, but I could be wrong. I'd hate to have factories fifty years too modern, or to think the standard armament of armies is muzzleloading muskets when "they have got the maxim gun and we have not".

Oh I need to edit my sheet then, slightly.

>no maxim gun
>no quick-firing cannon
>barely any brass casings

This makes me sad.

Edited the map a bit to have most present players.

@Lauder Would this be correct?

@Jotunn Draugr Might want to ask @Voltus_Ventus to see if he is willing to hand over those two sets of islands or not. Or vis versa :P

The islands were claimed by Jotunn first. The problem is the panama canal style area which was claimed by Voltus first. Albeit they can try to same as I did with Loki. Both of you own one side of that channel.

Yeah, 19th century tech is weird because it only picks up near the end.
Mid 19th century is basically almost like the Napoleonic era.
There are some distinct differences like gradual spread of breechloaders and the Minié Ball but that's quite a massive kick in tech.
1980s would most likely make more sense, IMO.

Looks great! Hope Voltus understands the importance of the Panama Canal divide. It's critical to Ren-Guo's backstory and culture that they were historically isolated from other nations, so the Panama Canal is a perfect bottleneck to keep cultures segregated.
