The guard smiled and pointed up the busy street. "Straight up the street though the Plains District is the main market, and there you will find The Bannered Mare. The best inn the city has to provide. Some other places have a few beds for sale, but the Mare is the place I would sleep if I did not have my wife to keep me warm." The Guard looked at some Nord children playing around and then back to the party. "By the time you get there the market should be closed, but I suggest Belethor's shop in the morning, he usually has what you need."

As the guard talked, Ka-Vara looked around. He saw the streets starting to be filled with various shop owners, locals, and a few travellers move about as the evenings cold came into the city. Nothing suspicious nor treating, just the starting of Nordish revelry. However the sound of steel meeting a hammer caught his ear. Looking to the other side of the road he saw a sign that read Warmaiden's on a large wooden sign that had engraved a woman in armour holing a battle axe.

Shinon nodded and mentally repeated the names to himself to better remember them, "Thanks for the advice, I'll be sure to stop by." With that he was off to the inn to secure dinner and lodgings. The next morning they could explore the shops a little before moving on with their quest. It'd be nice if they could be the ones during the surprising next time around, after all magic didn't do you any good with an arrow in the throat. Though Shinon wasn't precisely sure what happened to a necromancer's undead after he died, he simply assumed they fell apart.

Ka-Vara made a mental note of the smithy near the gate. If he came across some money during their time in Whiterun, he'd perhaps pay a visit. In the mean time, Ka-Vara followed Shinon, taking in the sights that the city had to offer as he walked.

The guard waved off the party as they travels up the road. "If you need help ask for Hidar." He then took another path to the higher parts of the city. The streets slowly filled up with townsfolk and merchants heading to bed or for an evening drink. As the party moved into a large (now empty) market, the cool mountain air had flowed into the city streets. This chill only made the sign of The Bannered Mare that much more welcoming.

In side the Mare various folk of various races intermingled, drank, and talked. The sound of music filled the air as a Triette played on traditional Nordic instruments. In some darker corners of the large and complex hall, lovers could be seen swooning and shady figured watching the crowd. As the party looked around a young Nord woman comes to the party. "Hello and welcome to the The Bannered Mare! Can I provide food and drink for you good sirs? A bed for tonight as well?"

Shinon smiled at the friendly attitude of the women, regardless of the fact that she was paid to be nice. "Yes we'll all take rooms. Some beef stew and whatever you'd recommend to drink would be fine, thank you." With that he took a seat at the nearest empty table.

"If you serve sweet rolls here, I'd prefer that over beef stew" Ka-Vara said "I'm going to find a seat". With that said, Ka-Vara took a seat by the fire. If Metosi were to look in the argonian's direction, the dark elf would see that Ka-Vara had fixed his gaze on his dunmer companion. After what had happened in Falkreath, Ka-Vara felt the need to keep an eye on Metosi when they were in the presence of young tavern wenches.

Metosi and Qa'Ra made there orders (the usual meal for the former, milk and fish for the latter). The Barmaid smiled and nodded, "Coming up sirs!". She then turned and attended to her duties. Qa'Ra sat across from Shinon. "An now we rest. Though this one is excited for the next hunt." The Kajit smiled.

Metosi met eyes with Ka-Vara, then moved to sit with him by the fire. "Do not worry my scaly friend, I am looking for no 'trouble' here. My excitement in Falkreath was enough for a little while. Besides..." his calm look saddened for a moment, "The Barmaid has something form my past I am attracted to, and I see none of that here."

Shinon nodded, he did feel a small thrill of excitement at the thought of hunting down another necromancer. It wasn't too far from the thrill of hunting bears and the like. Only in this case it also involved getting rid of evil and getting riches. While not exactly riches, more like some old guy's stuff that they could sell but still. "Aye, some food in our bellies and a good night's rest and we can continue onward." After he ate his meal he would go to his room and sleep, eager for the next day to come.

"If you say so" Ka-Vara said when Metosi reassured him. That moment of sadness on the dunmer's face caught the argonian's attention, but he decided against asking about it. He had a feeling that the story behind that look was long and complicated. Instead, Ka-Vara began to watch the other patrons. Nords and alcohol were occasionally a dangerous combination after all.

The Khajiit leaded back, "This one agrees. Ah, this ones fish has arrived." The young Nord woman had returned serving food. After placing a meal and drink on the table, she moved over to the fireplace and served the last of the party.

Looking across the bar, Ka-Vara saw many interesting faces, most Nord and Imperial, some from other lands. In the crowd he saw no threats, everyone seemed focused on the festivities. The pleasures of good food and drink.

Shinon contentedly ate his meal and idly glanced around the tavern for anything of interest as he ate. Upon finishing his meal he would quickly head to his room, promptly falling asleep as soon as he'd prepared for bed.

Ka-Vara turned his attention to his food, content that there were no threats. Once he was finished, he sat by the fire until he was bored of the music and then retired for the night.

The rest of the night flowed quickly, the combination of warm food, cool drinks, and soft beds resulted in the party deeply sleeping until dawn. After a quiet breakfast with a hall of hung over tavern goers, the party stepped out into the warm morning sun, looking down into a large market.

Metosi scanned the market, "I believe I see an alchemy shop, You shall find me there or I will meet you here when I am done." With that he set off. Qa'Ra looked at Shinon and Ka-Vara and smiled his usual feline smile "A piece of fish and this one will follow you anywhere", he then chuckled.

Shinon nodded and smiled at Qa'Ra's jest. "Perhaps it would be best to ensure we have everything we need before setting out, there's not telling when we'll next be in a town. After we're done we can all meet here." Perhaps they would find something helpful and if they were perhaps able to find something holy to use against the Necromancer that would be fantastic, though he wasn't sure the plausibility of such a thing occurring. If nothing else a little shopping trip couldn't hurt, perhaps he could find a nice bow here, as long as it wasn't too pricey.

"Do we even have the gold for shopping?" Ka-Vara asked in response to Shinon's suggestion "I certainly don't". Ka-Vara had spent all of his money buying supplies and sweet rolls back in Falkreath, so shopping was out of the question for him.

Qa'Ra looked down at his coin purse. "Maybe so, But this one has just enough for a fishy lunch".

The market was crowded with morning shoppers looking for fresh foods, sharpened blades, and the occasional shiny trinket. Although there where many items within the parties price range, non of them would benefit them much for the cost. That was until Shinon saw a small stand selling religious trinkets. As he got closer there was a small Redguard man speaking to crowd. "... Yes my good Nord! I have several symbols of the great Talos, they are getting hard to come by, but I have them! And you strong Orc, How about a symbol of Malacath?" The orc warrior looked the small symbol up and down, then paid some gold for it. He walked by the party looking at the small yet well crafted piece of dark green stone.

Shinon nodded confidently, "Of course we do, I sold that stuff I found in the lair so I have a little spending cash." with that out of the way he began exploring for stuff. Most it was the normal junk and too pricey stuff you found in markets, but one man selling religious stuff interested him. Someone even bought something was he was looking, so obviously it had to be of decent quality. Shinon somewhat awkwardly pushed his way through the crowd, his shortness making it a tad bit easier to slip through. He popped out in front of the man and stepped closer to him, attempting to wrap a friendly arm around the Redgaurd's shoulder. "So buddy old pal, you got anything in the stall of yours for use against... the undead?" the last word was whispered in a conspiratorial tone but with a friendly smile.
