[OOC] Edge of Tamriel - Aetherium

The story is set in the year 199 of the 4th age (two years before the events of Skyrim). Our heroes have been recruited by a mysterious benefactor to travel to Skyrim Province and perform a quest on his behalf. The objective is unknown, but they are promised great wealth. Armed only with some gold and equipment the heroes head forth into legends.

Generate your characters and once I have 3 or 4 approved I will start the adventure. If you need help generating your characters feel free to PM me with questions; Just try to have your stats picked out and you archetype chosen.

Background –
Keeping with the theme of 'Edge of the Empire', your character must have some kind of hook or reasoning they are partaking in this quest. Potentially something I can leverage in the story to spice things up.

Ya, it is a little squirly.

Here is my RULING!!!!

First select ranks in skills listed from your race (each race will vary in type and number of ranks you can get). For Major skills: You pick 6 skills to be your MAJOR skills. These can be whatever you want them to be. After you have chosen the 6, put 1 rank into 4 of them. You then choose an archetype and the 4 skills listed there become MAJOR as well. You then choose 2 of these 4 and put 1 rank in them as well. You can stack ranks that way only up to 2 at character generation.

After this is done you can spend your xp (dependent on race) the following ways:

Buy ranks in a skill (only up to 2 at char gen): 5xp x # of the rank you want to buy to (then +5 if it is not a major skill)
Buy a talent for your archetypes talent tree (starting at the top): The XP value stated
Increase an attribute: 10 x # of the value you want to buy to
Get a 2nd archetype (you do not get free ranks in the skills, but they became major and you get access to a new talent tree): 10 x # of archetypes already owned.

If you have xp left over, you keep it until it is spent.

when buying stuff be sure to note it on your character sheet, I will approve the buys (the math can be tricky)

@LotusWarrior tried to make heads and tails of your description...as a skyrim player you've lost me somewhere along the way...

First off are you planning an ESO based game or Skyrim based?
Never got around to play ESO. But Skyrim is based on just 3 stats Health, Magika and Stamina, and with a quick online check you can find that it also stands true for ESO.

In Skyrim you can't choose an archetype, you actually have to make it. Also there are only racial bonuses.
In ESO you can choose a class and archetype. And there are racial skills in which you can later invest points.

As for the xp you said we can invest...how much do we get from the start...how do you gain xp in your RP...got more questions but I'll put em on hold until I hear your answers to these ones

@Regendorf We are playing a TES conversion based on 'Star Wars: Edge of the Empire' game system. The conversion is drawing in elements and themes from TES and graphing it onto the Narrative Dice system EOTE provides. So you are going to see a little of both sliced together here.

You need the read up a little on EOTE, and the rules I link to. If you want some help PM me and we can walk through it.

@Regendorf Cool is pretty much keeping calm under pressure. Who gets the first shot in a an epic magic stand off? Do you freak out when a Chaurus pops out of nowhere? Do you keep calm when an imperial patrol walks through the tavern?
