@Dedonus Well, what is he doing with Weapon X? Because I'm thinking maybe Black Panther is apart of a made up Department called Department L, explaining how he earned his adamantium finger tip claws.
@Chaotic Chao: I think you need to take a day or so and come up with some ideas about the character that you are planning to apply for (whether it is Gambit, Black Panther, or someone else).
Don't take this the wrong way, but I am slightly concerned when you said you were not good at being creative. Saying "I'm not good" will never help you get better! As New Yorker said, you're only ideas shouldn't be just joining two different teams, one of which has not formed yet and the other does not have any players controlling the X-Men besides me with Firestar and Iceman as NPC's and an inactive Jean Grey. It is alright to have long term goals for your characters. But you also need some short term goals, too!
@Chaotic Chao Weapon X is bloody complicated as it is, mate. But if you want to know, read through Wolverine's and Deadpool's histories. Oh, and any IC posts I made as Logan. That's basically everything that's written down.
Player Name: Chaotic Chao (Formally CallMeChaotix)
Character You Wish To Play: T'Challa Udaku
Alias: Black Panther
Moral Alignment: Hero
Affiliation: None. (But soon the Avengers.)
T'Challa was the youngest son of the king of Wakanda, T'Chaka. His older brother, M'Baku was to become the next king of Wakanda. T'Challa didn't really like this and wanted to prove to his father that he could be the next king. He was rather jealous of his older brother. And soon, the trials of the legendary panther were coming.
Wakanda was an country in Africa. It was a very advanced country, especially compared to many other countries Africa. It had much technology, and life in it did not have problems with hunger, water, homes, and diseases. It was almost even more advanced that the United States of America. Like many countries, Wakanda had a terrorist problems, some people did not like the rule of T'Chaka, they believed he was not fit for the role and had attacked and threatened many people that were allies and believed in T'Chaka. There were always a king of Wakanda, and the way to become a king there was to pass the trials of the legendary panther. There, you would prove that you could be a great ruler and warrior.
Wakanda was also known for a very rare minimal known as Vibranium. It was the ultimate metal, and seemed almost indestructible like Adamantium. Wakanda was very rich in this metal, making it a very rich country. And made the royalty of Wakanda one of the richest people alive.
Whoever failed this initiation would be either severely injured or dead. Making this a very dangerous challenge.
He wanted to take the test of the legendary panther trials. He was impatient, and wanted to prove that his father that he could be a warrior and to take his place. Unfortunately, this lead up to him being brutally maimed and near death. His older brother, M'Baku had brought him back home. M'Baku had told his father about what had happened to T'Challa.
T'Chaka was devastated by the news that his son was dying. And he refused to let him die, so he found a rare mystical herb and had fed it to T'Challa and gave him the best medical treatment he could find. This herb not only kept T'Challa alive, but gave him enhanced abilities. He could run faster, hit harder, and become very flexible than most people.
All was good, but nothing stays good for long. Terrorists had gotten their hands on advanced weapons and attacked. It was a devastating battle with forces of order against the terrorists. And soon enough, the terrorists had gotten to M'Baku and T'Chaka, killing them. T'Chaka's body was found, but M'Baku's wasn't. This had crushed T'Challa, and that's what drove him to become the Black Panther.
He learned many forms of Martial Arts, and created a black suit out of Vibranium. The suit resembled a cat, with ears on the top of it's head, and claws implanted into the gloves of the suit. It had hints of silver, with a necklace implanted into it. Thus, Black Panther was born. Crime was reduced in Wakanda as he took the role as King of Wakanda. He's known as one of the smartest and richest leaders of a country in the 21st Century.
There's a new vigilante, and he's only known as the Black Panther.
Sharp Claws - T'Challa has in claws built in his suit. He is able to selectively pull them out, and they resemble panther claws. They are helpful in more than one way. He can climb a wall with these claws and hang on to walls. These claws are mainly used to scratch and sometimes kill.
Hand to Hand Combat - Obviously, he was taught to know hand to hand combat. He knows many forms martial arts. He knows the standard kick, punch, scratch, and things. He's very agile and fast when fighting, almost hard to catch up with if you don't have fast reflexes. He knows how to be lethal with his hands as well, snapping necks with a kick to the head or beating to death.
Enhanced Abilities - He was given enhanced abilities from the mystical herb he ate. Strength, agility, sense, etc. He can hit harder and stronger than the normal human, and could possibly break a rib with one or two punches. He can run really fast, but not as fast as Quicksilver, if he's pushing to his limit. He also has a lot of stamina, letting him run for as much as he needs to. His enhanced sense is very helpful, he can dodge bullets and dodge attacks. This gives him a chance for counter attacks.
Great Intellect - T'Challa is one of the smartest superheroes, making him a fierce opponent. He can make strategies, and think ahead of time. He knows how to handle a hostage situation. He isn't just a man in a black cat-looking suit. The man is smart, and never underestimates his opponent.
Sample Story Arcs:
The Avenging Panther - T'Challa travels to America to help fight crime. He's soon noticed by the Avengers and recruited.
King of Wakanda - After his father dies and his brother goes missing, T'Challa becomes to king of Wakanda, and while still being the Black Panther. In Wakanda, criminals fear the Black Panther because at night, he hunts the guilty.
Rivals - On a trip to New York to find a weapons dealer who's been giving criminals military grade weapons in Wakanda, T'Challa runs into a mysterious villain that nearly kills him in battle known as the Man-Ape. T'Challa, unfortunately believes he knows who this rival may be..
The African thugs walked around the village, having every one of the villagers on their knees. Their were armed with military grade weapons. One of the children whimpered, and her mother told her it would be okay. A militia soldier walked over to the two, and had hit the mother. "Shut up!" He yelled at her, as she cried out.
"Mama!" The girl started crying, the soldier was about to hit her until..
*POW* The Black Panther had jumped off a tree, landing both feet first right into the soldier's face! He yelled out, then slammed into the ground. Unconscious, with a little bit of blood running from his forehead onto the ground.
The mother and daughter were surprised, then were afraid. "Do not fear me, I won't hurt you." The Black Panther said walking behind them, he then sprouted the claws out of his fingertips and slahed the ropes off the back of their hands with a quick swipe. "Go, now!" He told them as a group of more soldiers ran over.
"It's the Panther!" One of the soldiers yelled in an African language. Black Panther looked up at him, and spoke in the same language. "You will be punished for your sins." The soldier stumbled, back in fear and yelled at his men to fire at the Black Panther.
They did, but the bullets did nothing but ricochet off of Black Panther's armor. He walked closer and closer as they fired at him. And soon enough their magazine was out, he then roundhouse kicked one so hard they practically flew back a few feet into a tree. He then pulled out his claws as one of them pulled out their Uzi and scratched them in the chest from the right and left, then swiped down at his cheek. The soldier screamed, then Black Panther headbutted him, drawing his claws back in.
The next soldier ran at him with the butt of his gun and rammed it at Black Panther caught it, then looked down at the gun and back at the soldier. The soldier's eyes widened in fear of this man, what kind of monster was he? The Panther then rammed his fist into the soldier's nose, breaking it and sending him unconscious.
The soldier that was knocked into the tree groaned, awakened. But not for long, as Black Panther did a backflip into him, feet first into his chest. This knocked the wind out of his chest, and he went back to sleep. That was not all the soldiers though, and there were many more hostages to secure.
Actually, what if I make him a S.H.I.E.L.D. agent, @Dedonus?
If you're going that route it leaves possibilities for interacting with Coulson. Who I am gonna have basically running around cleaning up peoples messes, because that's fun for me.
I have time on my schedule this afternoon for posssting. Will be fabulous as will my finished Hulk sheet.
Fear me.
@Chaotic Chao Maybe some sample plot ideas that don't include smothering @FacePunch? -says the one who stole the title of Captain America from Steve Rogers-
Player Name: Chaotic Chao (Formally CallMeChaotix)
Character You Wish To Play: Remy LeBeau
Alias: Gambit
Moral Alignment: Hero
Affiliation: S.H.I.E.L.D.
Abandoned as a child because of the devilish-like purple fire in his eyes, Remy LeBeau was soon brought into a gang of thieves, who were the closest thing to family to him. He was nicknamed the White Devil by them for obvious reasons. Remy was trained by them how to be a thief, and he was really, really good at it. He could walk past you without you realizing 50 bucks were just stolen from your wallet. He grew up with this gang.
Remy then learned of his power at age 13. While throwing a dart at a target in his gang's hideout with no one around, the target was demolished. He started training while no one was around, since mutants were despised by humanity. He used his skills that he was taught by his group to steal and sometimes he even used his powers. At one point, he and his gang planned to steal from a powerful mutant named Condra. They didn't know this person was a mutant and they didn't even know.
They obviously didn't stand a chance, as they were subdued immediately. Condra had sold them a child slave trader called the 'Pig'. The 'Pig' had planned to sell them to HYDRA, as soldiers. It didn't take them long to escape their cell, but 'Pig' caught up quickly. Remy had found his signature attack when he picked up a playing card one of his gang member's had dropped, and threw it at him. 'Pig' had his eye took out by the card, and the gang escaped.
After the gang escaped, they've been becoming more confident since they escaped 'Pig'. They started getting sloppier and sloppier, and that's when the cops got to them. Most of the gang escaped, one was shot to death for pulling out a pistol on the police. And Remy? Remy was arrested. Director Fury noticed Remy's skills, and soon had plans for him.
At age 17, Remy was recruited to S.H.I.E.L.D. Not exactly, like he had a choice, it was either jail time or that. He had done a lot of missions around the world. From stealing a simple diary about weapons, to actually stealing serious heat, he was taught how to use a Bo staff, and martial arts. S.H.I.E.L.D. even helped him learn the potential of his powers, like how if he charges up the object he's holding for long, the more damage it does.
Kinetic Energy Manipulation - Gambit has the ability to turn energy into Kinetic energy. Making the object he charges the energy with, glow a light purple aura and explode on impact of an enemy. The amount of power in the object he throws matters how much he charges it with energy. He prefers to use throwing cards for this power, after the incident with Pig he mastered being able to throw cards.
Staff Combat - Given that he's been trained with many ways of combat. He prefers a Bo Staff, he can kick plenty of ass with this weapon. He knows many techniques with this weapon, and possibly knows many styles of how to use this weapon than he lets on. Gambit has probably even perfected Bo Staff Martial Arts.
Hand to Hand Combat - There are times where he doesn't have his staff or his cards., making this a very helpful way of fighting. He knows how to fight with out an staff. He knows the basic stuff of fighting, kicking, punching, and headbutting. He probably knows Martial Arts as well, considering he's been trained by expert Stealth Ops.
Ways of An Thief - You may want to pay very close attention to this fella. He's a professional thief, because of training from S.H.I.E.L.D. and experience from many missions around the world. If he bumps into, check your pockets because he might have just stolen your keys to your car, your wallet, or your purse.
Sample Story Arcs: Agent Gambit - Gambit becomes a full on agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and goes on various missions for the agency.
Captured - Gambit is captured, and brainwashed by H.Y.D.R.A. They make him believe he was on their side instead of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s. He gains his originally memories back thought at one point, but for at that time. He's forced to be a villain.
On The Run - After regaining his memories, he's on the run from H.Y.D.R.A. and S.H.I.E.L.D. since they don't know he was brainwashed and H.Y.D.R.A. wants him back. He has no where to go, and no where to hide.
The White Devil Avenger - Gambit joins the West Coast Avengers.
Interaction - Gambit possibly interacts with other S.H.I.E.L.D. NPCs, or even actual characters like Hawkeye and Coulson. Maybe, helping them with a job.
The guy couldn't believe he was loosing to this stranger at cards! Nobody could beat him, nobody! "You're cheating!" He jumped out of his seat, and slammed his hands on the table. He had to be cheating, that was the only damn way!
"You just suck that's all" The guy in the brown fedora with the long trench coat at the other end of the table smirked, only his mouth was shown as he tipped his fedora down. He really wasn't cheating at all, this guy just didn't like the fact that he was loosing to stranger that showed up out of no where. The guy was now very, very pissed! The guy's buddies walked over, and they seemed not too happy either. "We don't like cheaters around here." Ah, so they were going to say they won, make it look like he cheated, and jump him, the man in the fedora thought.
"What's your name? Huh, answer me damn it!" The guy who was loosing yelled at the man in the fedora. The man in the fedora tiled his head up, slowly showing his dark eyes filled with a purple fire for pupils. The three men stumbled back, in shock of what they saw the demonic fire for eyes the man had.
"The name's Remy LeBeau, but you can call me Gambit." Remy showed his head completely, smiling like a sneaky devil.
@Dedonus
Bucky and Gambit chill over beers in H.Y.D.R.A HQ
Bucky: Who the hell is Bucky? Gambit: I dunno, Hail Hydra Bucky: Too right buddy! *toasts with their cheap beers*
@Bright_Ops if you are looking for something to do you can join me and Drew on the A.I.M raid?
Player Name: Sep Character You Wish To Play:Doctor Robert 'Bruce' Banner / Hulk Alias: Green Goliath, Incredible Hulk, Indestructible Hulk etc. Moral Alignment: Hero / W.T.L Affiliation: Formerly U.S Government Character Origin & Backstory: Robert Bruce Banner, or as he was so often called simply 'Bruce Banner' was the son of a wife beating, violent but brilliant scientist. David Banner. Being raised on a military base in Vista Verde New Mexico Bruce led a relatively secluded life, rarely leaving the house except to go to school. Little did he know this was largely in part to his father conducting illegal experiments on him. On his sixth birthday there was a tremendous explosion as his father came home in a fit of rage. Trying to drag Bruce away his mother thought back, in the process she was stabbed and killed. Though before his father could drag him away the military arrive and his father was arrested.
Bruce since then was raised by his aunt and himself became interested in science. Particularly the use of radiation, both traditional radiation such but also the newly discovered Gamma energy. However like most brilliant scientists though he sought to make the world a better place he ended up working for the military as it was the only way he could secure funding. Working in the field of radiation this included the process of making a bomb. It took years to develop, the calculated yield was far higher than any nuclear ordinance ever tested. On the test run things went very wrong, a grad student Rick Jones for reasons beyond everyones comprehension was on the testing grounds and in the case of heroism Bruce ran out to save him. While Rick Jones was saved from the radiation of the blast Bruces body absorbed much of it. The radiation interacted with the drug cocktail his father had given him as a child and the Hulk was born.
The Green Goliath appeared out of nowhere and terrorized the military base, Bruce Banner was found later and then admitted to a military hospital. The doctors presumed that in a daze he had wandered off the bomb range, as if he was pushed off by the blast wave he would have had substantial injuries however he appeared to be relatively unharmed. At the same time the military began the hunt for the giant that they dubbed the 'Hulk' a creature capable of catastrophic levels of damage. Nothing seemed to phase it, nobody appeared to connect the dots until the day General Thaddeaus Ross confronted Bruce Banner in his hospital bed. As his heart race his skin began to turn a green hue, and his bones snapped and cracked. Before long where Bruce had laid sat the Hulk, he tore through Ross and the hospital going on to destroy a reasonable portion of Vista Verde in the process. Throughout the next couple of months Bruce was on the run, managing to stay one step ahead of the military sometimes. Other times they caught up to him and engaged him, wherever the Hulk was seen destruction followed.
Eventually Bruce sought to change things, seeking out the resources of Norman Osborne and OsCorp industries (Knowing that OsCorp had played around in biological engineering) in order to find a cure. Though in the process of going towards OsCorp the Hulk emerged and the Hulk got into a fight with the city itself and the U.S. Military. That was until two heroes, Ms.America and Thor (Tarene) interfered. The fight escalated and Hulk seemed to reach some form of equilibrium saving a family from falling rubble (from a well intended plan). Loki broke up the fight prematurely and teleported Hulk to Australia. Bruce spent some time there, after calming down. Began to settle himself in to spend time there all alone, thinking that he was finally somewhere where he wouldn't need to worry about the Hulk ever again. Weapon X had other ideas.
As Wolverine infiltrated one of the Helicarriers and downloaded data on the Hulk, including his presumed location. Thanks to the range of abilities boasted by the team Weapon X had managed to assemble, Hulk (after causing a large amount of damage) finally fell to the hands of Weapon X. However Hulk wasn't one to be held long, in experimentation Bruce and Hulk managed to make a 'deal' and the two stormed out of the facility leaving naught but a crater behind. In the process of running Hulk came across Agent Parrington A.K.A Valkyrie who tried to sooth him, and appeared to do so before Hulk disappeared, and has not been seen since. Season 1 Summary:See history. Powers and Abilities:
Super Genius-Level Intellect: Doctor Bruce Banner is a super-genius in nuclear physics, possessing a mind so brilliant that it cannot be measured by any known intelligence test. Banner is regarded by Tony Stark as the greatest nuclear scientist on Earth.
Self-Restraint: When Banner is the Hulk he can influence the Hulk's behavior only to a very limited extent. In a kind of "Hulk/Banner" hybrid. It is unsure on how much they can influence eachother currently.
Transformation: In times of great stress, rage, fear or anything that hormonally increases heart rate and increases physical abilities in normal human beings instead transforms him into the Hulk. However as he can transform in times of calm (later, not currently) this indicates that there is something physological as well as physical. Due to the reaction being often related to stress it is almost night impossible to physically wound him without the Hulk appearing.
It is not known how but when his rage subsides, or the "Hulk" relinquishes control or some unknown reasons the extra bodymass he gains during transformation is lost. As the Hulk his skin turns green and he turns into a 8'8", 2,400 lb goliath.
Strength: Hulk is best known for his strength that can affect his entire body. Though this is said to be almost unlimited due to varying factors such as the Hulks rage/stress/excitedness or indeed Gamma Radiation or Dark Magic fuels his strength. Though the physche of Bruce Banner can also affect the Hulk and can limit the Hulks strength, which is why the Hulk never actually kills anyone. Despite this the more enraged Hulk gets, the stronger he gets the less open he is to reason and the less coherent he is and the less he thinks about his actions. Which makes him dangerous, especially if he is against a certain target as he won't care about anyone/thing else in his way. - This also extends to his lungs that are able to inhale vast quantities of air (Though he hasn't figured out this yet). - Naturally this extends to his legs, allowing him to run great speeds for his size or jump vast distances.
Invulnrability: In addition to immense strength, the Hulk's body possesses a high degree of resistance to physical injury. The Hulk has survived tremendous amount of punishment throughout his career. The Hulk's skin is impervious to conventional blades, Adamantium and Vibranium being strictly the few known metals that can effectively pierce and penetrate his skin. However other beings of immense strength, such as Abomination or beings augmented such as the Hulkbuster armour can cause some physical damage. Strong blows to the head depending on his level of rage can also knock him out, and while he is usually impervious to gasses/tranquilizers sufficiently strong doses in high quantities can knock him out.
Regenerative Healing Factor: Despite the Hulk's high resistance to physical harm, it is possible to cause the Hulk injury. If he is caused injury it is possible for him to heal the wounds at great speeds, however he cannot regrow limbs lost limbs unless he is enraged to levels that he has not yet reached or is victim to a high enough dose of radiation. This healing factor is also the reason it is hard to use tranquilizers to knock him out as his body tries to counter the drugs, and does so rapidly.
Adaptive: It is possible for Hulk to faced extende periods of time in oxygen-less outer space/under water without suffocating, but he is also capable of speaking in these enviroments. However it is theorised that this is linked to his level of rage and he has yet to experience this.
Increased Psionic Resistance: In many instances the Hulk has demonstrated great psychic resistance as side-effect of his rage and the multiple personalities inside his mind. However it is capable, of using mental input to further enrage the Hulk or even enrage Bruce Banner to the point in becoming the Hulk.
Sample Story Arcs:
Hulk v.s. Banner: Whose body is it? Does Banner keep Hulk from his body? Or does Hulk steal Banners? Hulk CAPTURED: General Ross finally managed to get his hands on the Green Goliath. Abomination: Emil Blonksy, first soldier, then supersoldier, then man obsessed, then monster. It's a Gamma World: After Samuel Sterns becomes the Leader he has plans to make a race of beings in his image (Avenger tie in possible) Green Avenger: (If FalCap comes off the Team) Hulk is convinced to join the Avengers, albeit begrudgingly. Working as part of a team doesn't come naturally, especially with the suspicion that seems to follow Hulk wherever he goes.
Notes: I want to retcon that last story with Doctor Crawford, I'm not happy with how I did it. So if everyone can just forget about that, it'd be great. Thanks.
@Chaotic Chao my opinion of your Black Panther (if you care) is that it's a bit weird to give him actual Claws, kind of infringes on Wolverine a bit doesn't it? Also how does Weapon X get the Vibranium and furthermore why does the medically enhanced nation have to give their prince away? Why does Weapon X take him when he's not a mutant? and finally how does Wakanda even have ties with Weapon X?
