@Just The Wind Multiples, and yes this will be in advanced. I simply put it in general as some people check that section who may be super into this idea, and may not have found it under normal circumstances.

@Just The Wind Warp in Star Trek isn't instantaneous, I mean something more akin to Homeworlds hyperspace where the travel through such a field has strange effects on the passage of time. In this fictional universe it is incredibly fast travel with the negative boon that it takes so much power to generate a stable field. With the way I am setting this up in-universe we will be travelling for a short period of time, or from our perspective it appears to be a short period of time.

I was wondering if it would be possible that if I decided to take the position of head doctor or scientist on-board, my character could be in charge of or one of the main founders/researchers of the artificial population control initiative, or in other words cloning or frozen embryo's brought from mars, as accelerated population increase would be required for colonisation of new planets.

Would be cool for my character to be the go-to person and adviser to ask about climate conditions on planets also.
