0:00hrs Local Time, New York City

Iris
@OneWayOut

The night was starting off with an explosion. Whether or not that was a good or bad thing was debatable, but when it went off right in the middle of someone’s bedroom, it was usually at least unexpected. The explosion was mostly noise and light, as when it died out and Iris’ vision returned, nothing about the room was disturbed but for any loose papers that might be about.

And the young man hanging from the slowly spinning ceiling fan by his tail in nothing but a set of boxer shorts. There was that too. He was lean and muscular, built like an Olympic swimmer, and had three, long scars down his back as if he were clawed by some massive set of talons. There was no sound from the rest of the building to indicate anyone had heard anything out of the ordinary.

[OOC: Before I forget, currently Category One, Class Two]

Juro
@knighthawk

Sometimes, days start bad. Sometimes, days start good. Regardless, there are the times when no matter how good or bad the day might had been, the nights just go to shit. Such was the night of one Juro Jacobsen as he was in Central Park for reasons only he might know.

A kid that couldn’t have been more than 16 blew past him on a what looked like a rocket propelled longboard, though a closer look would reveal the short, six inch blew flames to be coming straight out of his hands. Though that was odd in and of itself (Central Park had begun to strictly enforce speed limits after mutants had begun showing up that could do highway speeds on rider-propelled vehicles), what would really bring this from odd and perhaps annoying to straight up dangerous was the seven black dual-sports, travelling near silently, close behind with people in black body armour and equipment that Juro would recognize as coming from a company the American Government refused to do business with to the point the equipment would need to be smuggled in… Bikes that Juro wouldn’t hear until they were almost upon him…

[OOC: Category One, Class Four due to possible uses of duplication and level of it.]

Jen
@Carlsberg

New York city, the city that never sleeps, was one of the places in the world that one might be able to find a twenty-four seven bakery. An all-night bakery that Jen had the misfortune of having to work a shift until midnight. A shift which she was just now getting off of.

As she stepped outside the bakery, she would get a sense of something being off. Something just wasn’t quite right, though nothing would immediately jump out t her should she look around. Other than something nagging her instincts, it would seem like an average midnight in New York City.

[OOC: Category One/Four split, Class Four due to flaming breath.]

Jen looked around suspiciously. She didn't mind getting the late shift at the bakery, finding the quiet hours at night allowed to concentrate on some drawing. What she didn't like, however, was leaving, the dark streets feeling more threatening, not at all helped by her animal instincts. But something felt different tonight.
I don't like this, she thought, scanning her surroundings.
What is it? Ember asked in reply, her mind touching against Jens for a second to review the situation.
I don't know. That's what worries me, Jen replied, quickly setting off at a quick pace, determined to get back to her apartment and get out of this creepy and disturbing atmosphere.

Juro Saw and felt the kid blow past him as he struggled to hold onto the box of dozen dounuts from the 24 hour place he just came from. He wasn't looking for trouble, but he was looking to see if this kid left anyone else behind him in danger. That is when he saw instead of heard the half-dozen on motorycles chasing the kid. Six-to-one, seems like the odds for a lynch-mob.

Juro was technically on patrol to police the mutant presence in central park when all this was hitting the fan. He only had a few seconds to act, but it was amazing what you can do with helping hands. Two of himself took a spool of 1000 Lbs line and ran across two trees to brace for impact with their whole bodies into it instead of just their hands. Any that tried to run the wire would get seriously screwed up sliding under or getting clotheslined, those that tried to go around the utterly obvious trap would find themselves being fed down either side to divide their forces where two more of himselves were waiting on either side knelt and taking aim to floor them with rubber rounds for the first two rounds as warning shots to try and knock them off their vehicles.

Lastly was one of himself who kept after the kid, he might be a thief getting justice, he needed all the facts he could get as his seventh self drew and fired a bouncy bullet at the board itself of the jet-setter.

[OOC: I apologize again for taking so long. RL is a bitch at times.]

@Carlsberg
Jen

Jen hadn’t even made it halfway home when there was some indistinct yelling in an alley off to the side, though it was more than loud enough to let her know it was close by. The indistinct yelling was almost immediately followed by the rather distinct report of a not so small gun of some kind, though the yelling by both parties continued right after the shot.

@knighthawk
Juro

[OOC: For ease of GMing purposes, even if they don’t refer to themselves as such, would you mind designating the clones somehow? Be it Alpha, Bravo, etc, or 1, 2, 3…. Just some way in which I can keep track of who is where and cut down on a miscommunication I swear is going to come along at some point if we don’t do something like that? Thanks.]

All seven bikes went around the trap on the same side, almost as one. The first one was knocked off his bike by a Juro clone though that was immediately retaliated against via two of the men drawing silenced weapons and putting a bullet each into that side’s rubber shooter’s shoulder with suppressed weapons. Though, despite the suppresser, it was still point blank with a .303 pistol round.

The rubber round Juro fired at the teen’s longboard didn’t quite hit the board itself, barely missing the board, though hitting the ground just in front of the wheel just in time for the axle to hit the round, and slingshot the rider forward in what could have been a possibly lethal faceplant (as well as revealing the longboard was strapped to his feet in some manner). However, the rider tucked and hit the ground shoulder first, rolling back to his feet and board to continue on with what was clearly a fair bit of experience in falls like that, quickly moving back up to speed, now with only side bikers on his tail, the seventh still rather dazed from the fall he’d taken after being hit by rubber rounds.

Jen frowned a little as she heard the noise, quickly identifying the alley that it had come from. She started to walk down it slowly, her eyes searching for the cause of the disturbance.
Be careful, Ember said quietly
Don't worry, I will be. But if somebody is in danger, I have to help.
Do you want me to take control?
Jen paused at that thought. Maybe putting the dragon in charge was a good idea. She was definitely better at reacting to situations than Jen was.
Yes, let's.
Jen's eyes flashed blue for a second, a smile slowly crossing her face.
"Now let the fun begin," She said as she walked around the corner of the alley.

[OOC: Just jump in later if you want.]

Jen rounded the corner to find a pair of rather large, burly men in a heated argument, both gesturing rather strongly, both with large, fifty calibre pistols in hand. One of them was even still smoking. In unison, though, they turned to Jen. "What do you want?" the left one asked gruffly, eyes narrowing at the young woman.
