@Crimmy: There ARE other Ritual Academies, and there's probably some way to arrange to live there during the school year if you want to go to Otsuki.

Sorry about that. Although, there is an idiom for what just happened. 他乡遇故知. Translated as "to run across a friend in a distant land".

You ever learnt that someone's from the same village or province or whatnot, and then start engaging them in a really rapid and loud conversation, or at least hung around with somebody who's done that? It happens a lot.

This is a bit of a problem, because both a teacher and two students apparently just stood their and watched them have a conversation. ^^;
