When people don't respect the meaning of a crosswalk and try to turn their car when you are crossing and look at you like you've done something wrong, whatever happened to pedestrians have the right away?

It's normal for most gamers to be egoistic - well, who play to lose anyway - but when their pride becomes so swollen that they refuse to admit that it's not a game they could win easily and blame everything but themselves.

There's this guy in my class who is a self-proclaimed pro in rhythm games - even saying that all rhythm games are a piece of cake - but when he couldn't even get at least 10 combos on the game I was playing (what's more, he only tried twice) he was damn quick to call my game a shit game.

Dude, you are no fucking god of games. Is it so difficult to admit that we would usually take some time to get used to the different game systems before we can start winning like a boss?

Sore losers much.

When you watch a video just before you go to sleep... Nothing wrong with that...

...except it's titled "funny shit" and contains a person thrown out of a theme park ride that swings passengers 50 meters into the air on a revolving carousel; an accident due to a failed safety harness. Did I mention severe pathological fear of heights?

Guess who's not sleeping tonight?!?

It also works for women too, when people see an average looking girl who likes everything that's considered nerdy she is considered lame but if she's hot then it's okay..The world is all about how a person looks these days..

And there is implied vanity in the complaint. If you want people to overlook your looks, then go for other ugly people. Its silly to say you want some hottie to go for you but then be unwilling to pork within your own league.

But I mean this is a world that has schlubby, stupid guys marrying and hooking up with attractive women way out of their wheelhouse. I guess the trick for unattractive guys is to be real funny.

I learned everything from sitcoms.

According to studies people are more likely to go after average looking people on dating websites because they're afraid simply that the smoking hotie whose profile they were just looking has been, or is been bombarded with messages so more-often-than-not people shy away from the approach not wanting to compete and swipe away to the next looking for someone whom they have better chances with. Or at least someone not as attractive but not absolutely repulsive to look at: or rather average convinced they're alone enough that they'll easily say yes.

But no, those average people get a lot of messages based on that study.

So really now-a-days, goofier looking people getting with hot chicks and stud muffins can be an effect of those individuals simply being brave. Or a practice of the above by the physically attractive side of the relationship to get with the other so they can have a relationship.

I'm so viciously angry. I'm so sick of straight people treating us like walking targets.

WHY DO YOU WANT TO SEE US DEAD SO BADLY?

On television, in movies, in real life.

STOP KILLING US.

I feel like whenever television shows kill blacks/gays/women everyone gets all up in arms about oppression and meanwhile the writers are just like: "Uhhhh, they died for a plot same as anyone else?"

Dead dudes are the same, I highly doubt there's some sort of evil agenda.

Unless this is about Orlando in which case that's a whole other can of worms that can't be boiled down to "Emegherd straight people hate gays!!!" amd you're sorely mistaken if you think that's the case.

This time someone took an assault rifle and a Glock and shot up a gay night club on Latino Night in Orlando. 50 people dead and 53 people injured.

They're related. I'm sorry but the fact that queer characters are three times more likely to die in media despite the fact there are so few queer characters is a problem.

We're treated as disposable and then people act shocked when someone acts like it in reality.

They are related whether anyone wants to admit it or not. We're sick of being killed in both fantasy and reality.

Stop. Killing. Us.

People would be shocked if 50 people were killed regardless of their orientation. What happened in Orlando was a tragedy, no one is saying otherwise unless they're bad people, but it's really not the thing to launch a campaign against fictional characters and the portrayal of queer characters or lack thereof.

I'm a white dude, we die all the time in movies or whatever. If anything, the straight white dudes would be your go to disposable peeps because nobody's going to bitch and moan about it.

I doubt the statistic you're pulling is very true or could be misinterpreted, but I'm open to see sources that explain it. And unless the media presented centers around gay life (a valid genre worth exploring), then I wouldn't really expect there to be a whole ton of gays.

Just like how I'm not mad that there's an underrepresentation of Armenians in the media because I know there's a grand total of like five of us. And whenever they kill off an Armenian I'm sure that jumps the statistic to like 100% of Armenians on TV are killed (because there's like one), there's still no giant conspiracy to kill all my people. We've been there, done that already.

Orlando was motivated by a lot of stuff, apparently he pretty much hated everyone (equal opportunity hater) and was motivated by Daesh's shenanigans. Now, that's true that *they* have an active oppression against homosexuality, seeing as they're giving gay folk one way tickets off of Raqqa's rooftops, but the Islamic State's view on homosexuality isn't exactly representative of the West's.

So no, the answer is that there's no real, major conspiracy to kill all the gays. Chill the shit out, man.

Actually both his ex wife and his father said this had nothing to do with religion and everything to do with anti-LGBT bigotry.

People who more than likely knew him better than anyone.

So no I'm not going to pretend this isn't a hate crime or that this isn't related to the horrible way queer people are treated both inside and outside media because it was fueled entirely by said bigotry.

https://www.theguardian.com/film/filmblog/2013/jun/11/gay-characters-hollywood-films An article describing the study done on how many LGBT characters there are, how many die, and how any have happy endings.

EDIT: This one specifically talks about queer women but this gives a good idea of how bad of an issue this is

People are allowed to killed in fiction, gay or otherwise.

People aren't allowed to be killed in real life, gay or otherwise.

Its pretty damn straightforward.

Technically you're right.

In reality how we treat people in media tells a lot about what we think of them, and in turn also influences how we think of them.

There's a reason queer people are more likely to die and least likely to have a happy ending.

There's a reason that within 2015-2016 29 LGBTQIA characters were killed at least 10 of those were in 2016 alone and were all queer women.

There's a reason and its not a good one.
