Yeah the rp is moving a little too fast for what I'm comfortable with. I was writing a post and had to go to work (am currently at work) and post it when I got back but now it needs to be heavily edited. If the norm is a post every 2-3 days it's just a lot to keep up with and is kind of scaring me. I don't want every post I make to just be a catch up one :/ and with school and work if it continues like this that's how it may very well be:(
@Endrance Just remember that we have a separate origin story that we will be able to go down if the speed of the 'missions' are too fast-paced. Your character may just have to go on a 'special' mission or pair up with Vega and then I can help you progress our storyline without you needing to post on days of heavy work/school activity.
Hey guys. I got an idea. How about we use this RP here, the one we got, as a Beta Test for post formats and times and other stuff that we bring to the table, and once the helicopter leaves and the storyline begins, I can create a new, closed RP there with all the updated non-clusterfucky information in which we can all start off on the right foot. And by then I will have Co-GMs appointed for that new RP. Sound cool?
@Parfex Well the storyline's gonna remain the same, though this time you guys can add to it. Since I'm gonna open up a Google Doc, I'm thinking about making this RP a little more "Open Source" because, I figured that hiding all kinds of shit from you guys was only gonna cause problems with your characters, so I will reveal potential villains as well.
Once the helicopter leaves, this RP will be closed, and while people can post to it, it's just gonna be a scrapped RP that I'll no longer subscribe to. We'll be moving all of our assets to the new RP, I will rewrite the entire OOC post and start off new. Again, same story, same universe, just different RP, updated format.
I'm gonna be honest with you guys. I started off on the wrong foot, I was a little lazy and I was a little excited, and juggling my new job with this didn't help things at all. I accepted way too many characters and I was way in over my head. While quitting is one option, and an easy one, I'm not gonna quit. I wanna see this thing to the end, but I'm gonna need your guy's help on this. I know you've guys slaved away on your CSes and I seriously appreciate that, but we're gonna have to work together in order to make this RP work... because 15+ characters, a massive universe with many named NPCs and tons of possibilities is just way too many for 1 man to handle. But I'm not scrapping this thing, I don't want your efforts to go to waste, and I don't want mine either. I want to make this work.
| In-Depth Appearance | Daphne has long blonde hair that falls to the middle of her back. She has dark, green eyes and a fair complexion. She stands at 5'9'' and weighs 126 lbs. She has both her ears pierced, it looks like this. She has a small tattoo of a red heart on her right ankle.
Typically, Daphne wears lighter colors, such as white, yellow, pink, and blue. On an average day, she will wear light, flowy cloths like a peasant blouse. She prefers jeans and skirts, and loves to wear long boots like this. On a special night, she has a favorite dress she likes to wear along with heels. She doesn't mind going out in sweats and a t-shirt if she doesn't have anywhere particular to be.
| Abilities | Accelerated Probability: A weird power, but with it, Daphne is able to see the different choices and outcomes of a given situation. This happens when her adrenaline begins pumping enough for her to "see" the different choices she can make and what will happen.
Precognition: Daphne is able to see into the future for brief periods of time. She enters a trance-like state when she is "seeing" and is unable to move until the vision is done.
Telekinesis Daphne is able to mentally move objects or people around. Depending on the weight of the object, the amount of mental strain needed can be small or large.(Does not have this power yet)
| Limitations | Mental Susceptibility: Because Daphne needs to open her mind up when using her powers, she is more susceptible to mental attacks than most others. A powerful mental could even use her powers against her.
Lightweight: Daphne is not a body builder. She does not have super speed. She is an average human with some great mental gifts, but she can't do much when punching or running. If in a fist fight, she would most likely lose if she had to resort to fighting.
Stand Still: Daphne needs to stand still in order to use most of her gifts. If unprotected, she becomes a likely target when using her powers.

| Personality | Daphne is often called a warm person. She gets a kick out of helping others and being the center of attention. She comes across as stubborn and forward to those who don't take the chance to get to know her well enough, but to her friends they know she is a rock and foundation when they need her the most.
Daphne doesn't come without her own baggage. In trying to help others, she often goes above and beyond what they need and desire, much to the protests of those she's trying to help. In trying to do good, she will sometimes do more harm than benefit.
She comes from a dark place, but that just means she needs to shine her light brighter. She doesn't trust most men outright, but she is willing to offer a helping hand when asked for it (and even when not asked).

Daphne likes yoga and tries to go every week. Some days she'll do it in her apartment when she is in a time crunch

Mother: Marjori Fairchild nee Jacobs - Daphne's biological mother and one of her best friends. She is one of two family members that know about her powers. She worries about her daughter for the typical stuff, such as boys, living alone, and danger, but knows she can also be targeted for her powers.
Father: Peter Fairchild (Deceased) - Daphne's biological father. Was killed in a car accident and was the event that awoken Daphne's powers. Was a bright light in the family and spoiled his children rotten.

Brother: Kyle Fairchild - Daphne's older brother and the second family member that knows about her powers. Very protective of his younger sister and a good shoulder to lean on when she needs someone. He lives in the same apartment building as his sister.
Step-Sister: Miranda Meyer - Daphne's Step-Sister. Doesn't get along with her really well. Dresses in all black and is rebellious against her father. Does have a soft spot for Kyle, but won't admit it.
| History | It was during the second grade math quiz.
Daphne enjoyed math class. She liked her teacher Ms. T they called her. She liked her friends in school.
It happened suddenly, the powerful feeling of something about to go wrong. Her brow started to sweat, she felt dizzy, and then it happened. She saw the twist of metal, the crunching of glass, the sound of car horns and screams. It happened so suddenly that Daphne passed out as soon as it was over.
She woke up two hours later in the hospital with her mother and brother beside her. She noted her mother's tear-stricken face. They broke the news to her as gentle as they could. Her father was killed in a car accident. Daphne looked afraid and started to panic. Her mother calmed her down, "What's wrong honey?" Daphne could only hold back the tears for so long, "I saw it happen..."
Many years later, her family built itself up again and she returned to as much normalcy as she could. Her powers came and went occasionally. At first, she was afraid of them, fearing she would only see bad things happening and didn't like the pressure of it. Soon, she began to open up to the powers and begin playing with them. She helped other people, warning them about crossing the street when a speeding car zoomed past or stopping a man from using his last paycheck to buy lottery tickets that he would inevitably lose at. These people began to be extremely thankful for the young girl, but her mother grew worried. She warned Daphne that while her gifts were helpful and amazing, she had to be careful. There were people out there that would hurt her if they found out.
One such man was Tyler Archer. Daphne fell head over heels for Tyler as soon as she saw him. Her, a 16-year-old, him a college Freshman. The two began dating and Daphne couldn't be happier. They spent many days, months, and years together. Kyle, Daphne's brother, didn't trust Tyler, but couldn't ever place why.
The time came when Daphne opened herself up to Tyler and told him about her powers. This was after spending 3 years together. This was the ultimate gift of trust she could give another person. Tyler appeared understanding and considerate. However, one night a bunch of news crews and police were outside her home, asking to see the "marvel" for themselves and have her predict future events. Daphne panicked and her family sheltered her. Tyler betrayed her trust, telling them about her for a quick pay off. An even bigger slap to the face, he said he never really loved her.
Her family moved East, but she moved back years later to San Fransisco to attend school there. It was shortly afterwards that she got the call to action. Worried that her trust was again betrayed, her fears were expelled when it was revealed that she was sought after to help others.
Daphne would accept the call, because not only could she use her gifts for good, she could prove to everyone and herself that she can handle the responsibility.

Let's see, favorite superhero is Zatanna, I am Central Time zone, and the grey text highlighted this was a High Casual game so I should be bringing in my A-game!
@Parfex Depends. Probably a few days, probably a week. We just need some time to sort out everything here, find out our problems and bring the solutions to the new RP. Depends on how long it takes for everyone to report in.
