Avary nodded to Paint then turned back Ayeka. "So, what's it like where you come from?"

The beer keg at the back of the bar, enveloped in dust and dirt from every year that had passed, sat and waited patiently. A spiders web settling in the top right inner rim of its lid, a single string of fine sticky silk hanging from the cork. Blotted dark spots and minute craters decorate the soft stopper, a breath of weight to its insignificant mass.

Beneath the rough wooden exterior is a gelatinous mass of purple and deep green, an aberration of incredible power. At the center of this writhing color is a crystal ring of incomprehensible worth, a bright golden yellow gem worked into its simple design. A subtle humming comes from the ornate gem, nearly impossible to hear through the thick goo surrounding it.

And so, patiently, as it has for many years, the mimic rested upon the middle shelf - ignored and content.

She wanted to talk to Paint a little more but she could always do that later. "It is okay, I am guessing you have too many siblings. I be right back, I have to go dust the middle shelf." She politely excuse herself as she goes behind the bar to dust away the cobwebs on the middle shelf. She rearrange some of the kegs to clean them better and wonder how old these kegs are.

"Yeah, three brothers are way too many. OK, good luck." So, a storm, strange. At least Alex isn't the only royalty here.

From beneath the purple slush, the humming ring that some would call the brain, retorted as a feathery mass shifted across the kegs surface, pressing against the cork and sliding along the outer rim. The spider web fell away, its denizen looking back at the keg one final time before spindling a web and dropping down onto the one that stood behind the bar - dusting.

As the twinkling silver spider from the Silverus Augus forests found a grip, the mimics ring shook and twisted, sending a ripple through the air into the arachnids diminutive brain. Zyrid, as that was the ancient mimics name, chuckled to himself from within the crystal ring, shifting himself into a more comfortable position in his chair. The precious mortal would soon learn to fear the famed Silverus Spider, whose bite would undoubtedly result in their demise.

Silverus Vigus Arachnid is a rarity on this material plane, one that imbues the blood of its victim with the elixir of Hilarese, the God of Humor and Jokes. Soon this fool would be laughing, and cackling and choking back the blood from their lungs as - no matter matter the strength of their want - they would not stop giggling until they dropped dead!

Unless of course someone happened to have the Rotten Rabbit Rank of Rurgal, the God of morbidity and Solemness, at hand. Zyrid doubted this very much however, though the back rooms have been filled with various specialties and quirks over the years. The Tavern had and still has a vast assembly of strange things, not excluding its patrons of course.

Zyrid chuckled at his own joke-thought.

Finally, pushing past the wishes of the Gods, mighty and demi alike, struggling under the many layers of time and space, the ripple met the spider. Freezing up as if dipped into the great white puddle, the legs twitched and the fangs strained tensing. Then, suddenly the spider was calm and the message resonated clear in its tiny mind.

BITE!

Ayeka finish dusting and has a feeling someone is watching her. She guess it must be a rodent or something crawling around somewhere. She puts down her feather duster and walks over to Alex. "What is strange about a storm?"

"Just seems a bit strange that it would direct you here." Alex then went wide-eyed, "Ayeka, don't move a muscle." He then grabbed a glass slowly and put it over the spider.

With its slender silver fangs the spider bit into the soft female skin and its venom seeped into the blood beneath. With a swift smirk and an adjust of his legs from their cramped position in his chair, Zyrid pulled the life from the spider knowing that it would most likely die painfully for its infliction.

Its essence floated invisibly into the keg and then joined with the ring, the humming raising in tone for a breath of a moment. Zyrid was yet to see the venom's effects this close up before, and so rested back into the velvet, prepared to enjoy himself thoroughly.

"Alex it is too late, the spider already bit me and now I am going to die." Ayeka says as where the spider as bitten her that area of skin flake off and shatters to the floor. The spider only bit the crystal that was protecting her that felt like real skin. "I am going to kill that spider."

"You aren't going to die." Alex said. He opened his inventory and pulled out his greatest object of healing, the golden apple. He gave it to her, then unsheathed his sword and turned to Zyrid. "Did you do this? Did you plant the spider?" He said raising his sword.

Alex narrowed her eyes when Clay rolled his at her and she watched as he strolled to pick up his clothes like nothing happened. He smirked at her like he was an innocent party. She knew he was just trying to make her angry, so she took a deep breath and channeled most of her energy into calming down. Clay will always be a stubborn ass and while that wasn't a good thing, maybe it wasn't completely a bad thing. He gave a slight nod to the man beside her and headed for the stairs.

"Hey," Alex ushered towards the tattooed man she just met. "Would ya mind grabbing my friend over there?" He nodded and rushed to scoop up Tic and headed upstairs with Alex. Realizing that she had no idea who this person was, Alex asked him his name. "Oh, my name is Andrew, but people call me Drew. You?"

"I'm Alex. Nice to meet ya," she replied. "If you could possibly find the doctor, that would be wonderful. I've got another problem to tend to."

She got onto the main floor and saw Clay at the top of the stairs. Grabbing his sleeve, she leaned in towards the side of his face. "We need to talk.."

Surrounding conversations aside, there, for a slight moment, a simple sound caught Dorians attention and drew him from his book.
With a raised eyebrow he scans the room, before his eyes could find what he sought they fell upon and became distracted by the spider in a glass.
Unfamiliar to the tavern but not unrecognisable. Dorian tucked his notebook away and gave the situation his full attention just as the man named Alex drew his sword and started throwing accusations at the tavern's liquor.

Clay turned his head but never moved away, their faces were inches apart as his lips curl into a devilish grin and softly part. "Talk?" he replies suggestively in a whisper as his eyes deliberately wander over her.
"As much as I'd love to 'talk' looks like you got some work to do."
He notions to the man who had just drawn his sword.
The moment Alex looks away Clay continues on moving. He calls back over his shoulder.
"Sorry doll, talk later.
Oh and watch out for the pointy end."

Clay chuckles to himself, the tavern always did bring in interesting people that was for sure but he was also sure Alex could handle herself. He could also smell Dorians presence, his return was a relief, he would never let anything bad happen to her. Clay would sit this one out, couldn't let it looked like he cared now.

Alex turned in the direction that Clay gestured to and saw a group standing around, one with a sword. Alex let go of Clay but not before she warned him. "We're not done here."

Turning from him and quickly striding up to the group, she quietly grabbed the boy with the sword and pulled his arm back. "What do you think you're doing, drawing your weapon like that? What's going on here?" She looked around to the others.

"HEY! Let me go! 1st of, in the shelf over there, a mimic is lying in wait," Alex said pointing at the shelf. "And I'm quite sure it was or sent the spider that bit Ayeka."

"I am sorry, Sir Alex. Death is no laughing matter and I am sorry for making a pun like that. Do you want your golden apple back, as I am fine by the protection of my powers. Ayeka says as she cross her arms in a lady like way to conceal the sharp edge end of her crystal dagger. "It is true of what this gentleman said is the truth and why hide in a wine shelf?"

"Oh thank Irene. You can keep the apple. I know where to find more." Alex said, pulling his arm free and sheathing his sword. "They're hiding there because who'd think to look for someone in a bar by a bunch of beer kegs?"

Tick was a fairy princess, little known to his peers, so being held by a large strong man was all he could think about. He longed for his firm embrace, his tight buttox, thick arms...

Then the concussion wore off.

Now this was by no means the first time he’d had his ass handed to him in a bar fight, and he was pretty confident that it wouldn't be the last. That being said this was the first time he ever had to sit through his own defeat, and be left helpless to do nothing but moan as he was manhandled by some unseen force.

He wasn't quite sure if he could see right, but as he was carried up the stairs into the main room Alex seemed to have some lanky bastard by the shoulder who was intent on verbally sparring with a keg. Struggling meekly, he couldn't escape the grasp of his captor to defend the last cheap real booze in this town.

“Noooo...” he feabily called “I can’t go back to soy, ya just can do that to a guy!”

A single tear Tic refused to hide, solemnly fell down his face, if he was thrown out now all he’d have to remember this place by was his shirt still reeking of the whisky that had been spilt the night before. However, much to his joy, he seems to be being carried into another room in the tavern.

‘YES! I can stay in this drunken wonderland’

“Doorman would love this place...” he muttered as he faded back into his own subconscious.

Zyrid shrugged and sighed, some God somewhere was getting back at him for something, because these mortals were strangely perceptual. Very well, if he must move this once, then he shall. So, for the first time in many a year, the Keg disappeared and a fly appeared in its place. The wood and dirt shifted into hairy black skin and the ring shrunk along with it.

Buzzing up onto the ceiling, the fly looked around until it found a suitable spot to rest. For now, it would sit above the fire. Thus, the tiny wings flapped in a zipping motion forward and as the comparably giant beings below enjoyed the hearths warmth, the fly landed on the mantle above it. In an instant and unobserved, the fly became a dark stone of the deepest purple around thumb sized.

"Here will do, I suppose..." Zyrid muttered to himself as he stood and walked over to the bookcase in front of him, the books towering over him far into the sky above. He instructed rest and so the mimic rested and became static, as its master searched for his books on fire and smut, the embers of the fire below the stone fluttered by in dancing lights.

Ayeka looks at her arm and notices the two punture marks are there. To her this is not good as she tries to hide it from Sir Alex. For some reason she starts laughing for no reason at all and at everything. She stick the gold apple and she stops laughing but her side still hurts. She hopes that cures the laughing problem from that spider bite.
