it sounds like Holden is aromantic - which means he has no romantic interest in anybody. Asexuality is completely different.

I'm aware, that's why I made a note to state the difference between being an asexual and being Holden.

He's asexual by nature, he's aromantic by choice (and by practice) so when they asked for sexuality, I put asexual.

Anyway, I wasn't being serious in the first place. I thought I was being really clear about that with my tone (damn, I must be slipping...hmmmmm) it's usually easier to tell when I'm not being serious. My jokes to don't often crash this hard.

Anyway, keep him on the list. I did say "he has the capacity for romantic/sexual escapades" it would just take A LOT to get him to that point.

*points back to romantic simulation character comparison*

Man, this turned out to last longer than it was supposed to....THIS IS WHY I NEED A FUNNY GUY!!! COMEDY DUO!!!

I need to be saved from myself!

Oh, sorry, I see that the way I wrote that comes off in a stilted way. I do not at all think sociopaths and aromantics are the same thing or even have a lot of similarities. I think the character Holden may be a sociopath rather than an aromantic but more because of the way he's been described in the OOC by his creator than by the chat about relationships. I am familiar with what an aromantic is and have previously known a few, though I can't say I know any sociopaths, to my knowledge.

Sorry if that was unclear or came off as insulting, I did not intend to paint sociopaths and aromantics with the same brush at all, merely to suggest that Holden might fall into one or both of those groups.

bruh, you've been awake for 24+ hours. I've been there and know how it feels.

Is everything kind of flat and white yet? I always found that everything felt sort of monotone and plain after a day of being awake. After two or three, it's more like everything is far removed from you.

Me right now. Haven't slept in almost 18 hours. I'm not getting the white thing, but I've been awake for longer before and I'm sure it'll happen sooner or later. Haha

Roze! Did you specifically choose Roran's middle and last name or did you just pick them randomly???

Well, Foley apparently means "pirate" or "Marauder" and I thought that was pretty rad, because let's be honest, Roran would make an awesome pirate. As for Murtagh, that was just random, thought it suited him. Why do you ask? Is there a guy out there called Murtagh Foley who I've shamelessly and unknowingly copied?

Well because the two fit together very well! Foley, as you said, means "pirate" or sometimes "viking" while Murtagh actually means "skilled at the sea" or a good sailor! :P

BITCH FROM ASGARD, THEY BE VIKINGS WHO DONT GIVE A SHIT ABOUT THAT

for real though, just imagine her getting with someone, and they're both about the get freaky when they stop her and say "oh, it's against the law for us to have sex"

I think she'd be in a constant state of "??????" After that. XD

Also, I know it varies somewhat from place to place, but isn't 17 actually the age of consent in most areas?

@Dethran

I think in America, the States vary. But here in England the age of consent is 16, so most of American's age laws (Including alcohol and driving) seem totally ridiculous to me. Want to have sex? No, you're not responsible - but hell, you can join the army to die, or be handed the keys to a death machine on wheels! :D

Edit: AoC is New York state is 17. Eva is allll good!

In japan the age of consent is as low as 13 in some places but it can only happen wit others of the same age within only a year or so difference.

@MiddleEarthRoze @Winter Kitten @flightless-angel-castiel

I was just reading over the bio for Roran, and I have a question for you guys as the GMs (and Roran's creator) that I'd like to put before the group:
I don't know how Marvel canon handles it, but would it be possible to alter how this RP's canon handles vamps vs. symbols of faith? I, personally, am a big fan of how the Dresden Files book series handles it, in that it's more about the faith of the symbol's bearer, rather than the beliefs and knowledge of the vampire. So, rather than having an atheist vampire who's immune to all holy symbols by virtue of not believing in the faiths behind any of them, you'd have a Wiccan holding up a pentacle, a Christian holding up a cross, or a Jew holding up a star of David, all under equal protection from just about any vampire (hell, it's been a while since I've read the books, but I'm pretty sure you could have some atheist, sciencey-minded soul holding up a Fibonacci spiral, and have that count as a symbol of their faith in the constancy of numbers and science to get some sort of a repulsion effect).

@Dethran

Well, for full-blooded Vampires, all religious symbols will have an adverse effect of them. For example, Dracula (arguably one of the most powerful Vampires to exist in the Marvel universe) was negatively affected by a Star of David, but as he was both powerful and didn't believe in the Jewish faith at the time of his death (Being a Catholic, I believe - or, at the very least, Christian) he was able to get it away from him. Younger, weaker vampires will be more affected than that, but even more strongly so when it's a symbol that means something to them. Roran's immunity came from his pseudo-ness, not anything else.

So, even if you did run into an Atheist vampire, a symbol would likely effect them enough for you to have some slight advantage in getting away, at least.

I've always seen it as the faith, not the symbol itself.
There have been marvel cases where specific vampires who were/are religious in their mortal lives are more affected by the symbols of their faith. (it came up in the story arc when storm and gambit were vampires and converting all of the x-men, standard crosses didn't work on gambit but voodoo made the Cajun flee.) IF I remember right, there was an incident where a vampire was warded off by an empty gun because the officer had faith that there were rounds in the revolver, he didn't know they had all been shot.
