Doing some work on the Hero Collab today for Natural Selection. If the others involved have time, today would be good to try and knock out a good portion of it.

Not sure what's planned for the sort of overreaching arc of Season 2, but it would be interesting to see some Civil War type legal repercussions after the whole string of nation wide crises.

Hey guys! Quick update on my posts! I made some decent progress on the Cowl post today, but as I was moving to my new permanent residence and that wiped me out. I know you guys pretty much have this season finished up and are just waiting for me, but after today I will not be back to a computer until Sunday. You've been extremely patient with me and I cannot begin to express my appreciation for that, but I ask that I have until Sunday to actually write this. If nothing appears by Sunday, feel free to wrap it up without me, I trust the two of you.

No problem, that works perfectly as I'm giving the Heroes until Sunday to get that collab progressed.

@Nytefall I see that you made a short response in the hero collab which is great, but I'm not sure if you saw the end of Joseph's dialogue or if you saw it and just haven't fully responded. You'll need to explain the situation to him, even if it's as simple as "Hydro went about explaining Racehli, GeneCo, etc." however you want to handle it is fine so long as he is made aware.

@GamerXZ If you still planned on being involved, once Hydro explains to Joseph the situation, your character could then overhear and jump in. If that's no longer what you want to do, please say so as quickly as possible so we aren't needlessly waiting for a reply.

I'm going to use GM of the arc authority and I suggest puppeting and glossing over Hero's PC doing the explanation. While I hate doing that, I think it's the only way to go since he's having trouble getting on the collab due to RL.

If you all need me to puppet Gabe, let me know and I will. However, it might be quicker if you just mention from your pc's point of views that he recovers then begins to explain then gloss over the details. The explanation will likely cover how Rach came into contact with the virus, that the virus is a altered phylactery (alien technology made to alter a host, turning them into a bio-computer), she's currently unstable and has the power to take at least several blocks with the wrong stimulate. He, or someone with computer skills, need to adjust her programming in order to prevent that. It would likely mention that they suspect there's a connection with Gene Co involved and they were the original ones to tamper with it.

@fdeviant: Currently I was talking with Tricks and I just realized the fighting between Rach and Odette would've been rather loud and attention getting. This means we might end up doing another collab where some police will be arriving to a disturbance call then examine the place only to encounter Odette. This would give a lead for any Hero involved (who's not with the rest of the group-though they have to contact me) an easy way to locate Rach and smoothly get involved. Then we will past some time to where Gene Co arrives moving to the climax which it will be safe to assume that the Heroes are all updated and know where Rach.

@Fallenreaper We'll puppet Icarus and get everything figured out, and thanks for the info! The portal the brings Odette and Racheli through will be enough to tip off Holt to their general location. A quick zip through the magical door of wonder and they'll be in that general area, where the police will likely tip them off to Ironworks.

Hey guys! So I'd like to say that I apologize for not being around for quite awhile. I've been super busy; but I just got off vacation and I'm going to try and catch up. Might even get a post up.

@Nytefall From what I understand, Racheli was injected with some form of alien virus by the company Gene Co. and, unlike others they have infected, she responded well to it and became a metahuman of sorts, gaining access to certain enhanced states and abilities. She, at some point, got away from them so the Cowl, criminal overlord of Lost Haven, was contacted and his goons were sent to bring her in so that Gene Co. could take her back.

If there are any other important details other than that @Fallenreaper, could you correct me? I've been keeping up but I'm sure there are a few things I've missed for as long as this arc has been going now, lol.

It's alright, fdeviant. I don't always get things right myself and have to make notes, even though I've been reading and enjoying things.

The timeline of the virus is as follows which is revealed in the IC memories:

Virus arrived on Earth, then contained by Gene Co.
They experimented on it and alter the DNA, preventing it from reproducing and infecting on a world level.
It escaped, destroying the lab it was imprisoned within and been jumping from host to host for months. The first time it escaped, there was numerous casualties which slowed down after 2 months and vanished.
It latched onto Rach during the riots Cowl created which Justine and Gabe managed to get Rach to the CDC in the event she didn't survive.
Gene Co was called in, got wind of Rach's condition and realized it was their escaped virus. After Gabe become involved, Gene Co was shoved out forcing the CEO to request help from Cowl and resulting in this Arc's start. :P

Rach is a meta human with the abilities currently listed in her CS. Here is the need to know about her condition:

She's turning into a bio computer, pretty much. Her senses, abilities and more are enhancing at a rapid rate of progression, far more than she can understand or accept easily. Think of a computer taking in increasingly more information than it can store/translate and having issues keeping up but is unable to shut down. So every time she uses her abilities, she puts too much power into each effort which is rather dangerous and lacks control. This can result in lives being lost if she's hit by a negative trigger, such as Odette's fight with her earlier. (our little fae follower had issues containing her as it was.)

Her blood is being slowly saturated with nanites, which is turning her into What Hero mentioned was a Hybrid, someone's who has bonded with a Phylactery (alien tech). This is what creates her gritty, black blood.

It's not like the virus hasn't encountered alien physiology before. So it could likely adapt to Supernatural beings as well.

My apologies for not replying. I was out to the cabin with my parents and I had forgotten to take my laptop charger with me, so I was without my computer all of Saturday.

It's not like the virus hasn't encountered alien physiology before. So it could likely adapt to Supernatural beings as well.

Rach's blood is made completely, or likely after this arc, of nanites. They pretty much break down materials, alter their base components, and finally reproduce with the materials into new nanites much like blood from bone marrow. So they would likely start to break down the vampire from the inside out, then create numerous more nanites while pretty much liquefying the vampire. So.... it would be messy.
