Player Name: Holy Soldier
Character You Wish To Play: Francis Castiglione – Frank Castle
Alias: The Punisher
Moral Alignment: Walking The Line
Affiliation: None

Character Origin & Backstory:

I had a wife…

I had a son and daughter…

Frank Castle’s dead…all that’s left is The Punisher…

Francis Castiglione

A man of Sicilian ancestry, he was born and raised in Queens, New York and aspired as a boy to one day join the United States Marine Corps. Prior to enlisting, he met his future wife Maria who would give birth to his daughter Lisa and his son Frank Jr. During his time spent as a Marine during the Vietnam War, Frank was a decorated officer:

The Birth of Frank Castle

Frank Castle was born on a secret obsession with battle…or more like, the justice that war brought. The Viet Cong were communist scum, and Frank had had some unfinished business. There may have been foreshadow of the man he would become when he illegally reenlisted for a third tour under the name “Frank Castle.” Six years after the war (1976), Frank left the high-speed life to accept a position as an instructor at a Special Forces post in upstate New York to be closer to his family.

The Death of Frank Castle

It had been a mere picnic in Central Park New York and a prime example of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. Frank and his family witnessed the mob execution of a high-profile member of the mafia on Sheep’s Meadow Green. Fearing that they would snitch, Frank’s family was mowed down before his very eyes by the Costa mafia before the mobsters would try to give him a lead grave. He miraculously survived the encounter and being a broken man sought the justice system for help. The Costa mafia had been deeply rooted within the NYPD, denying Frank the justice he pleaded for. Suicidal and neck-deep in depression, the weight of his grief grew so heavy in his head that the thread of sanity that held Frank Castle to this world, snapped.

As The Punisher, what had started off as a mission to avenge his family became a crusade for the blood of every sadist, rapist, killer, psycho, and piece of shit this world had to offer.

Season 1 Summary: N/A (Although, I am willing to write up a possibility with an interested writer, especially if you think your character might have ran into The Punisher during Season 1. Just send me a PM).

Powers and Abilities:

Weaknesses:

  • Human Weaknesses
  • Mentally Unstable

Sample Story Arcs:

  • Riker’s Island: Frank is doing some time in prison after assisting Daredevil in tracking down a serial killer fictitiously known as Freakshow. He cooperated with Matt, leading him to believe that maybe The Punisher had turned over a new leaf. After discovering the serial killer’s hideout and freeing his victim, Patricia Romero, Freakshow was imprisoned at Riker’s Island. Two days later, Frank was arrested and imprisoned at Riker’s where he permanently closed the curtain on the villain. Already being in prison, Frank secretly relished in the satisfaction that there was nothing the enraged Matt Murdock could do. Justice? He was already in prison.
  • Thunderbolts: The breakup had been rough, and the reunion, even rougher.

KINGPIN

NAME
Wilson Fisk \\ The Kingpin of Crime

MORAL ALIGNMENT
Villain

AFFILIATION
The real question is who is Fisk not affiliated with? When it comes to the criminal underground, Fisk has made a name for himself uniting a small army of gangs and underground organizations. From the Owl Gang to the Hand to the Russian Mob, many of the crime organization on the eastern shores of the U.S. pay their respects to the unified banner of Fisk's coalition. Whilst Fisk's empire is not as rugged as it once was, his name still buys respect in the criminal underworld, and many gangs would be happy to associate themselves with him. Fisk's illegal misgivings are masked by his legitimate investments in business ventures through Fisk enterprises. Notably, Fisk is also rumored to have ties to Hydra, but the validity of these rumors is in dispute.

ORIGINS / BACKSTORY
Wilson was the son of a New Jersey native, a man who was born and raised in New Jersey by his two Italian parents. It was on a hot and humid New York summer night that Bill Fisk met his soon to be wife in a hazy, smoke-filled hookah bar. Marlena Fisk swore that Bill was a good man when she met him; a genuine sweetheart. But as time passed so did his affection and warmth, with each passing year one another becoming more and more displeased by their entrapment in a marriage in which neither of them felt endearment any longer. Bill was fast becoming a dire alcoholic, and doctors discovered Marlena was slowly becoming schizophrenic, showing primitive stages of the disorder. The only thing that kept them together, the last threads binding them, was their child, Wilson. As Bill Fisk's alcoholism grew, his abuse on his family grew with it; both verbally and physically. Rows plagued the house, and Wilson's father's unpredictable rage and volatility ruled his life. His mother grew more and more schizophrenic as Wilson entered his early and premature teenage years. His father refused her care -- "Do you know how much money that slick shit cost?" -- and her condition grew worse.

It was muggy and sultry August evening when Wilson was 15, when his father came home. He had spent the last of his cash on liquors and gambling it all away at Italian owned casinos. In a spurt of ill-tempered fury, his father began battering his mother with unkempt anger. Fisk attempted to block out the sounds, cowering in his room. However, it was in vain; the screams of his schizophrenic mother, who could no longer make sense of the world around herself, slithered their way into Wilson's head. It was this time, the pre-natal X-Gene, oft said to manifest itself to the beholder of the gene in situations of high stress, emerged within Wilson's body. His muscles swelled, his bones expanded, and his height sprung upward. The gene had mutated him into a giant of a man, seven feet of pure and unadulterated brawn. With anger in his heart for the years spent under the iron fist of his abusive father, he beat him to death with his bare hands, half in act of protecting his defenseless mother and half in act of pent up rage against years of oppression and angst. His mother, no longer recognizing her hulk of a son, cowered in fear from him, any sight of him conjuring up visions of the bloodbath of that fateful August eve. Wilson fled out of state, partly in escape from the law, but also to escape the deep remorse and sorrow he linked with his family home.

Perhaps by chance, after a long series of short stints in other cities, Wilson Fisk found himself in the Bronx at the age of eighteen. He may have been just old enough to grow bare whiskers on his chin, but his freakish size and strength offered the luxury of being able to mask his age. Fisk always believed as a kid that strength and power was the key to affording others' respect. Never had the statement rang as true as it did in the underbelly of the Bronx. Wilson used his gifts of considerable size and strength as a weapon, but also as a universal tool to unite those under him. He began a small gang, after all, all criminal masterminds have humble beginnings. He slowly grew his group, whether it be through large recruitment campaigns or whether it be through the assimilation of other gangs, whose facets would be absorbed into Fisk's gang. Slowly but surely, Fisk was building a criminal empire. Fisk's rise to the king of the criminal underworld was slow and steady; it's like they say, the road to top of the mountain is steep and prolonged, but the way down is a sharp, fast drop.

Fisk was atop his game, entrenched in his prime if you will, when he met his wife Vanessa. She was a foreign woman, and her perfume gave off a slight hint of oak. She had a mysterious aura to her, one that ultimately became Fisk's weak spot, as he met the love of his life. He met her at an art gallery at which she worked, courting her through his gentility and chivalry. There was a time when Wilson Fisk believed he needed no one else to be content; that he was happy alone. His perception changed as his love for his wife Vanessa grew, and he began to know the true depths of the emotions he was capable of. Emotions which he had suppressed since his childhood, which he had locked away, in an attempt to make himself not feel for anyone anymore. It should be no surprise that when his wife grew sick with something the doctors could not diagnose, Fisk's heart was decimated. He left his crime empire in the hands of one of his associates, and devoted his time to his wife. He threw large amounts of assets and sums of money at doctors, in order to figure out what was causing her illness. A doctor named Dr. Zhoria diagnosed and cured his wife almost miraculously, and in return Fisk promised that if Zhoria ever needed anything Fisk would be at his beckon call.

Rival gangs saw this as a moment of weakness. They saw a crown on pedestal, sitting there, beckoning to be taken. Like tide on a beach, Fisk's empire was receding in his absence. But the Kingpin of Crime was back, and ready to take back what was rightfully his.

POWERS / ABILITIES
The X-Gene in Wilson has afforded him tremendous size and strength. He has become 450 lbs of pure muscle. His stature gives off the visual of blubber; however, his body weight is not as it seems. He can lift things from cars, trucks, and buses to things as large as boulders. He is able to hurl such objects, although not without his fair share of strain. Things such as battleships or other large aircrafts are out of Fisk's weight range, and he is incapable of lifting them. Coupled with his enhanced strength, is his enhanced durability and endurance levels. His ability to resist external blows and attacks his heightened, his thick skin and muscle acting as a pseudo-armor of sorts. This mutation affords him some agility, not superhuman agility, but more agility than you would expect from 7 foot 400 pounder. X-Gene aside, Fisk has many skills, attributes and tools which he can put to work. He is a skilled martial artist, trained in the forms of Sumo. Fisk is multilingual as well. He knows English, Japanese, Russian, Spanish, and Mandarin. Fisk often carries a diamond encrusted walking stick which contains a concealed laser beam piece that fires a quick pulse of 300 watts, which, in case you were wondering, is about enough energy to vaporize a handgun into ashes. Fisk's diamond stickpin also contains a small, highly compressed container of sleeping gas which is effective when fired directly into an opponent's face at close range.

But perhaps his most dangerous weapon is his influence in the criminal underworld. His criminal empire is vast, and with it comes an eclectic collection of hitmen, middlemen, thugs, weapons, and allies. Fisk has associates in every alleyway, paid cops in every division, bribed judges in every court, and contacts in every organization. There's a reason they call him the Kingpin of Crime -- it's because New York is his kingdom. Many gangs in New York rally under Fisk's banner, whether it be the fierce Russians or whether it be the noble Japanese, and it's this aspect of the Kingpin that makes him all the more dangerous.

SAMPLE ARCS

Return of the King: After spending a year tending to his sick wife, Wilson Fisk is back in the game of crime, and he is not happy to see his kingdom being ransacked by bandits and marauders. Fisk begin's the "hero's quest" to retake his dominion, and reinstate his monopoly on crime. (I'll most likely be using this as my introduction arc)

The King's Men: Fisk amasses a coalition of super villains (whoever is interested) to participate in a crime wave the likes of which New York has never seen. Where there is smoke there is fire, and Fisk uses the distraction of a conglomeration of super villains wrecking down town New York to steal a live Warhead from a military base.

All That Glitters is not Gold: Fisk grooms his prized burglar (The Black Cat) and a group of highly skilled thieves to break into Fort Knox. Oddly enough, it is not the gold that Fisk wants from the government treasury, it is the weapon of mass destruction which the government has tried to stash away inside the fortified walls.

SAMPLE POST

Fisk sat at the refined mahogany oak desk which had been custom made for his height. Behind him, a penthouse view unfolded like a pop-up book through large, pristine glass windows. The city churned below, the sounds of engines, car horns, and people fluttering up, barely gasping it's way to audibility so high above the ground. Fisk twirled a pen between his fore finger and thumb as he stared coldly at the man who sat across from him. The man was wearing pinstripe suit and pants, a red tie, and a midnight black fedora. The man's jet black hair was slicked to his left, and a deep gash ran through his cheek.

"Money is a callous thing, is it not? Mr... Mr. Belcastro was it, yes?" began Fisk, his voice scratchy like gravel on concrete.

"Uh, yes sir-r-r-r," stammered the Italian "businessman" with a heavy accent.

"I find that so often it has so much power. It's rather odd when you think about it, that a scrap of green paper holds so much leverage. It has the leverage to turn a man of principles into a man of lies and deceit. Honor and respect smolder, brotherhood and fellowship are cast aside... and it's all just for something as inconsequential as a slip of paper. You wouldn't happen to know what I am talking about, would you?" said Fisk.

Before the man had a chance to respond, Fisk continued, "No, I thought not."

"Honest, Mr. Fisk, we didn't know! We thought you were gone and -- and, we thought maybe -- "

"You know what they say Mr. Belcastro, life and death are but phases of the same thing, the reverse and obverse of the same coin. Death is as necessary for man's growth as life itself. And boy, do I think you're going to sprout and spring, arms stretched towards the sky like a beanstalk," said Fisk, abruptly standing up, dusting off his trousers.

"Now if you'll excuse me," he said, stepping forward from behind his desk.

"Please Mr. Fisk, please, I'll do anything, you gotta believe us! We didn't mean for this to happen, honest -- " pleaded the Italian mobster.

"James will see you out Mr. Belcastro," he said, nodding at the body guard across the room.

Fisk began to walk out of the room, with the man still yelling after him, begging. He stopped and turned to James and saying in a low tone, "Try not to get any on my carpet this time."

Fisk barely heard the gunshot on his way out, muttering to himself, "The song is ended, but the melody lingers on... I've got work to do."

Character Sheet template:
Tarene

Player Name:
Spud -The Kawaii Potato-
Character You Wish To Play:
Tarene, the disgraced Goddess of Thunder

Moral Alignment (Hero, Villain, Walking the Line):
Walking the line.
Affiliation (what group/team/organization, if any, is your character affiliated with?):
Asgardians

Character Origin & Backstory:
Tarene's parents were told by a Seer that they were going to raise a child who would become an Asgardian Goddess and travel across the realms fighting for truth and justice. In disbelief, her parents kept the message of the Seer as secret, they feared that their unborn daughter would throw herself into danger and unnecessary risks if she heard the story of the Seer. Several months later, Tarene's parents discovered they were expecting a child and finally they welcomed Tarene into the world.

For the majority of her life Tarene's upbringing was uneventful, borderline mundane, her parents disallowed her to partake in anything particularly dangerous, for fear the Seers vision would come true and she'd fall into harms way. Despite their best efforts, fate caught up with Tarene and the Seer who had warned her parents of her destiny, tracked down Tarene herself and told her, rather cryptically, that she would come to possess tremendous power and would fight great evils.

She allied herself with Thor, and despite her best efforts, she was not able to defeat Loki, Thor, who always sought to redeem Loki, refused to deliver a killing blow, or allow Tarene to deliver the killing blow. During Ragnarok, the Thor Clone attacked Tarene and she was badly wounded. Tarene was positive she'd failed her destiny and was going to perish at the hands of her greatest ally, he didn't just beat her, he absolutely destroyed her. Just before the THor Clone could deliver the final killing blow, the real Thor intervened, saving Tarene's life. She managed to escape to Vanaheimr where she spent many many years, terrified to return to Asgard after the events of Ragnarok.

Eventually Tarene dedicated herself to trying to find Thor, always believing he survived Ragnarok, perhaps tricking herself he was strong enough to face the end of days and walk away unscathed. She felt certain that Loki perished, having witnessed a fraction of the chaos he'd caused before she was able to escape. She began a journey through the 9 realms searching for Thor or clues about what happened to him, but her search for Thor was fruitless, she also heard nothing of Loki, further affirming her belief that Loki had indeed perished during Ragnarok.

Over time she began to believe that Thor too had perished and gave up her hope of finding him alive and well, it was then that she came across Thor's hammer. She decided to take the hammer, hoping it would aid her search to find answers of what happened to Thor, since her hopes of finding him alive began to diminish, but of course she had to figure out how to lift it. Having lost her powers during Ragnarok, Tarene is at a loss as to how she will pick up Mjolnir and regain her cosmic powers. Although she doubted her abilities, she attempted to lift Mjolnir regardless, in the hope that somehow her power has been restored. To her own surprise, the hammer budged slightly in her grasp. A faint glimmer of hope blossomed in her chest and with renewed vigour, she attempted to lift the hammer again and it swung up from the ground with ease in her grasp, her power once again restored.

She resumed her search to find Thor, hoping that somehow, possessing Mjolnir would aid her search. Eventually she decided to go to Midgard, not suspecting Loki to have (a) Survived Ragnarok and (b)Wind up on Midgard. She adopted the human name "Tara" as a disguise and attempted to blend into human society (and at first it failed absolutely terribly).

SEASON 1 RECAP:
With her plucky nerd sidekick, Dwight, Tarene began a search for Thor on Midgard and managed to settle in (somewhat) to Midgardian society. She was out having coffee when the Hulk began a rampage on NYC. Tarene reacted by trying to suckerpunch the green giant and alongside Miss America they managed to fight him a bit ... Till Loki appeared and Tarene went on a hellish rampage. Blinded by grief and rage Tarene resorted to criminal activities and violence to track down the elusive Asgardian, eventually crossing paths with Tony Stark and beating the snot out of him due to her dreadful impatience. Loki appeared, feeling the weight of her grief and her sins, and possibly her unworthiness, Tarene willingly dropped Mjolnir and gave herself up to SHIELD authorities, only to have a change of heart and break out in a panic.

Powers and Abilities :
She posses Mjolnir and thus inherits the power of Thor, so she can pick up and wield the legendary hammer and command thunder/lightning, rain and storms. She possesses tremendous strength and enhanced stamina and metabolism because she is an Asgardian Goddess. She heals quickly, hits hard and ages incredibly slowly and is immune to disease. She has the ability to fly, by swinging mjolnir and using the tremendous momentum to "throw" herself along with the hammer across great distances. She can use this method to travel between realms. Since Ragnarok, she has grown tremendously in terms of her power and her power is said to rival that of Odin's, perhaps she is more powerful than Odin at this point.
Tarene has stolen Sif's sword, without her trademark golden hammer, and no Mjolnir she's resorted to other tactics. She does not have thunder magic or the ability to fly, she does however have tremendous strength and a badass sword.

Sample Story Arcs:

Story Arc 1: An Enchanting Encounter: Loki claims to be a new (and honest) man, Tarene, reluctant to believe him, ends up allying herself with an unlikely partner, Amora the Enchantress. It is unknown whether this is a willing partnership, or if Amora has manipulated Tarene into mischief

Story Arc 2: On the Run: Her troubles begin to catch up with her, and as she causes more destruction to try escape the mess, someone will need to take her down.

Story Arc 3: Family Reunion: Maybe Tarene will FINALLY meet Valkyrie and be given a chance to redeem herself. Maybe she'll cross paths with Loki again or maybe ... just maybe, Thor Odinson will meet her, but how will she respond to seeing Mjolnir in someone elses hands when she liked it so much in her own? And will Thor be happy to see her after all the blood she's spilled ?

Story Arc 4: An Unlikely Ally: Tarene accepts that she's become a villain and decides to give up fighting for fear she'll be on the wrong side yet again. She returns to her humdrum life pretending to be a regular Midgardian (maybe even tries dating now THAT I'd love to see). When a massive threat rears its ugly head though, Tarene can't ignore it and like it or no, she teams up with a person/people who may not want her, but need her help.

Player Name: Nightraider
Character You Wish To Play:Moon knight
Alias: Marc Spector
Moral Alignment:Hero
Affiliation: None
Character Origin & Backstory:

Season 1 Summary: Marc was in Sudan pre-Season 1 and then, during the events of Season 1, he returned to New York and established Spector Innovations using the funds of his mercenary career, developing new technologies and partnerships with larger companies like A.I.M. and Stark Technologies.

Powers and Abilities:

Sample Story Arcs:
A Spectacular Start: Spector slowly becomes the Moon Knight, and encounters his first real foe in the Committee.
Two in the Hand: Spector hasn’t forgotten about Bushman and is on the hunt for his new nemesis.
The Guardian’s S.H.I.E.L.D.: Spector is contacted by S.H.I.E.L.D. through his company with an interesting offer and some startling information.
The Knights of the Roundtable: As Spector gains infamy, copycat villains and walking the line fellows begin emulating him, in the form of Black Spectre and Shadow Knight.

Sample Post:
Marc stood close to the window, staring down at the bright lights below, only the sheet of glass separating him from the thin air and the dizzying drop. He twirled the glass in his hand, covering the ice in the thick, golden syrup liquid before taking a soft swig, letting it burn his throat. He’d just spent the last 5 hours debating, negotiating and playfully antagonising the Director of Operations at Cybertek Industries on acquiring the shared rights on a new patent for an exo-skeleton suit. He smirked to himself, thinking about how he’d run rings around that snobby ass suit. The battlefield may have changed, but the tactics were still the same…

”Speaking of the battlefield…”

A cold sensation washed over the back of Marc’s neck as the Voice spoke from behind him. At least, he thought It was behind him. It always sounded like it was coming from there. He turned slowly, his fingers tightening around the glass.

”We discussed this already. The fight is over. We’re not going back.”

The Voice chuckled in the darkness. A soft, condescending chuckle. ”You make it sound like you have a choice, Marc Spector. I’ve already told you, it’s your…”

”…Destiny, right. I keep forgetting. Or I would if You didn’t remind me every day.”
Again, the chuckle came from the darkness towards the back of the penthouse apartment. ”You still believe Me to be a figment of your mortal imagination. I may be in your head, Marc Spector, but I am most definitely My own free agency. But you already know that, don’t you?”

Marc shifted uncomfortably, draining the last of the whiskey in the glass, letting it burn again, burn his senses away.

”That is why you do not go to your modern medicine men. That is why your free time reading those parchments and watching those pictures about those powerful beings, those other gods. It is because you know, Marc Spector, deep down, you know. You’ve felt it.”

”SHUT UP!” Marc launched the empty glass into the darkness, hearing the smash of the crystal against the back wall as he stared into the darkness, his eyes adjusting and fixing themselves on Him. The statue he had brought back from Sudan. The statue from the tomb. The statue of Khonshu.

Marc trembled, not because he was scared of the Voice, but because he was scared the voice was right. He had felt it. Ever since he’d returned, he’d found himself sleeping less and less, 3-4 hours a night, sometimes less. But he was never tired, never weary. He began attending a nearby 24-hour gym to try burn off the extra energy, running, weights, boxing again, whatever he could. It was there he found something else was happening to him. He could sprint for miles and miles at a time and never lose a breath or break a sweat. He was lifting twice what he could before Sudan. He was quicker in reaction too, with his sparing partners barely being able to hit him.

One night, he felt stronger, faster and more animated than he’d felt before. He pulled a full sprint 30 mile without breaking a sweat and he benched over 600lbs to the astonishment of the other gym members. The strength and power was almost intoxicating to Marc. Over the next few days and weeks, the strength began to wane again however. He was still far more athletic than he had been but he was losing it. Then one night, the Voice spoke to him as he was leaving for the his nightly sessions, saying only ”Look to the moon, Marc Spector…”.

Marc looked into the inky black sky that night and found the moon, a silver curved line in the sky. He pulled out his phone and queried the cycle dates for the last week. He found that the night he’d pull those amazing feats of strength was also the night of the full moon. He rushed back to his apartment and demanded answers from the statue of Khonshu which, for the first time, was silent.

That was last week and the statue had offered little in the way of answers, instead constantly referring to Marc’s ‘destiny’. The Voice did not chuckle again as it spoke, the gravity in its tone catching Marc’s full attention.
”You have idled long enough, Marc Spector. You have been granted these gifts and a second chance by My hand and yet you still refuse it. There are those who make a difference in this mortal realm. You know this, you have watched them. I have given you the power to follow in their footsteps. Now, Marc Spector, I ask you: will you accept? Will you become My avatar? My knight?”

Marc stepped over to the nearby desk, grimly silent. He sat in the lush chair, grasping over to take the bottle of whiskey and pulling it close. He reached down to the bottom drawer, the drawer he never opened, that he never wanted to open. He slid it open as he could almost feel the eyes of the statue on him, the Voice awaiting his answer. Well, he’d give It a damn good answer…

Marc pulled out a file, a black, brown file envelope and pulled it open, the contents spilling slightly over the desktop. These were the Special Projects from Spector Innovations, everything Spector had kept off the main data banks of the Innovations HQ. He didn’t really know why, he just had. He thumbed through the design manifestos and concept drawings before sighing, pulling a swig from the bottle.
”Alright, what do I have to do?”

Somewhere in the darkness, the Voice smiled.

Player Name: Spuderific Spudinator!
Character You Wish To Play: James Buchanan Barnes
Alias: The Winter Soldier
Moral Alignment (Hero, Villain, Walking the Line): Villain
Affiliation (what group/team/organization, if any, is your character affiliated with?): Hydra
Character Origin & Backstory:
Bucky Barnes, born James Buchanan Banana-Bread Barnes, was a post-war baby boom child. Barnes lost his parents at a young age, much like his childhood friend Steve Rodgers.

In his youth, Barnes aspired to be a war hero, like all those brave soldiers who'd fought in the first world war who looked so spiffy on the recruitment posters. As things began to go south with Hitlers rise to power, trouble in Russia and Europe in general, Barne's enlisted and completed his basic training.

During WW2 Barnes found himself rising through the ranks and becoming a Seargant, he was deployed on missions in Europe. While fighting in Europe, Barnes and his team were declared MIA presumed dead, at this time, Steven Rodgers underwent his transformation into Captain America, with the super soldier serum pumping through him, and the support of Howard Stark and Peggy Carter, Steve was able to infiltrate Nazi Germany and rescue Barnes from Swiss Hydra scientist, Armin Zola. What no one knew at that time was that Zola had been conducting experiments on the soldier, pushing his body to the brink. Why Barnes in particular was suggested remained a mystery, but somehow he had the strength and the will to survive the experiments long enough for Rodgers, recently transformed by the Super soldier serum, to rescue him. The former prisoner of war recovered to join Steve again to bring an end to the war but that final mission drastically and irrevocably changed Barnes' life forever.

During what would be their final mission together, Rodgers escaped and crashed into the ocean where he was frozen in ice for several decades until he was located and thawed out. Barnes, who was declared KIA along with Rodgers was never found.

In the decades that followed the end of the war, reports began to emerge of an elusive assassin. A ghost story named the Winter Soldier. That ghost was Bucky Barnes.

After his presumed death, Barnes was recovered, reconstructed and eventually indoctrinated by Department X, a covert branch of the Russian KGB, to use for all their dirty work as part of their Super Soldier program.

To keep the Winter Soldier under control, he was brainwashed and repeatedly tortured to ensure his complete submission to his masters. When he showed signs of returning memories or non-compliance, he was "wiped clean" and reset. When not carrying out missions, the Winter Soldier is kept on ice in cryo-sleep to prevent him collecting too much knowledge of the world around him and potentially betraying his masters.

((Since no one is playing Black Widow I figured its okay to put in some Red Room shit, lemme know if thats not cool and I'll scratch it out))
The success of the Winter Soldier, a ruthless, efficient assassin who carried out tasks effectively and without question or complications, spawned other operations within Department X, namely, the Red Room Academy which created super spy assassins such as Black Widow. The Winter Soldier was responsible for demonstrating combat and testing some (but not all) of the young Black Widows who were recruited in the program and later responsible for "dispatching" the failures.

Outside of the Red Room Academy, The Winter Soldier expanded his list of assassinations. Several high profile names were added to his list of successful hits spanning across decades. After the dissolution of the KGB, Department X lost the Winter Soldier who fell back into Hydra hands once more. He fell under Baron Strucker's control.

The Winter Soldier is back again but this time he's after a new high profile target.
Nicholas. J. Fury.

Season 1 Summary:Summary of what your character did in season 1 (not applicable to new players) Bucky was probably in cryo-sleep, whatevs.

Powers and Abilities (What can your character do? What can't they do?):
Bionic Arm: After losing his left arm, Bucky now has a metal super-powered prosthesis grafted to his soldier. The arm has enhanced strength and reaction/response times. The arm is also capable of emitting EMP and electrical discharges. One weakness of this bionic arm is that it can be temporarily KO'd by electrical shocks.

Master of Martial Arts: Bucky has extensive training in various kinds of hand-to-hand combat.

Marks-man Extrodinare: During WW2, Barnes was a proficient sniper. He's skilled with using multiple firearms and has deadly aim.

Super Assassin: He's skilled in espionage, he can hide in plain sight and conceal himself easily to prevent detection.

Multi-lingual: Bucky can speak several languages including Russian, English, French and Japanese and a few more.

Sample Story Arcs:
Story Arc 1: (Remembering Bucky Barnes): After being out of the freezer longer than usual, Winter Soldier's memories begin to return and he goes rogue during his mission to assassinate Nick Fury.

Story Arc 2: (Trial): Bucky breaks his programming and remembers things. Living on the run from the authorities and from Hydra, Bucky tries to evade SHIELD capture and also tries to evade Hydra recapture, for fear he'll be indoctrinated once again. Bucky, if captured, will have to face punishment for his actions or a return to his life of crime but just how much does he actually remember?

Story Arc 3: (Ready to Comply): Bucky is totally under control ... however, someone steals Bucky's "code words" and steals the master assassin for his/her/their own ulterior motives.

Story Arc 4: (End of Winter): Bucky wasn't the only Winter Soldier created by the KGB ... the supposedly "decommissioned" Wolf Spider operation which followed the Winter Soldier programme was not unsuccessful and a series of super assassins were created using similar tortures as those inflicted on Bucky, however, the Wolf Spiders have gone rogue and escaped. Hydra has sent Bucky on a mission to assassinate his would-be spy-brothers before SHIELD or anyone else can take advantage of their mistakes.

Player Name: Chaotic Chao (Formally CallMeChaotix.)

Character You Wish To Play: Johnny Storm - Human Torch

Moral Alignment (Hero, Villain, Walking the Line): Hero

Affiliation (what group/team/organization, if any, is your character affiliated with?): The Fantastic Four

Character Origin & Backstory: Johnny Storm, son of Franklin Storm and sibling of Sue Storm was never as smart as either of them. He learned public education, and he wasn't very good in school. He had a rebellious personality which got him into trouble a lot. He wanted to become as smart as them, he just didn't ever seem to be as good as them. Sometimes, he felt like the odd-one out.

Then his mother died, Johnny's father was devastated and went into a deep depression. His sister had to become a motherly figure. Sue had to watch him over him, to make sure he didn't get in trouble. He ignored her a lot, and did dangerous, dare-devilish things. He was an hot-head. Soon, the two headed to the NY Comic-Con. Sue was Hawkgirl and Johnny was Hawkman, he saw it fit. They met Reed Richards, an awkward nerdy guy, and Ben Grimm, a big guy with a Boston accent. Mostly Sue and Reed talked. Johnny was happy that she made a friend.

Then they came back. Talking about her new friends she made, Reed Richards and Ben Grimm. She told her father about how smart Reed was, and how he's very prestigious. This gave their father an idea, to make The Future Foundation. Johnny joined his sister and the other two at the Baxter Building. He saw this as a way for him to learn a lot. Plus it seemed pretty cool, they headed to a desert in Nevada to test the N-Zone Teleportation Project. Johnny didn't realize how much that it would change all four of their lives forever.

Powers and Abilities (What can your character do? What can't they do?): Johnny has the ability to burst into flames at will by the words "Flame On" and "Flame Off". He can fly as well, from being as light as oxygen. His body's heat can rise, making his flames hotter and more effective. If he hits Super Nova, which is the temperature of the sun, he'll destroy everything including himself. His power is also controlled by the way he feels, especially excitement.

Sample Story Arcs: Give 2-3 ideas on where you want to go with your character. (Same as Drew's.)

After the big project, the teleportation device his father was working on, fails spectacularly. Reed finds out one of the people who was working on it has mutated for the worst, a strange monster like creature that buries itself underground and produces mole like monsters a sexually. Finding out about him and having to fight its now mindless form leaves Reed depressed and blaming himself, on top of what happened to himself and the other three.

Reed along with the rest of the newly announced Fantastic Four begin to put the pieces together about where his father went and what happened to him, which leads them to a certain castle in Latervia.

(This one with Kid Lantern's permission of course) After their constant struggles and disappointments against 3D Man, The skrulls decide to use the Fantastic Four as the base for a new Super Skrull prototype. However when they get DNA samples from the four it causes the heroes' powers to go haywire, and result in the curious side effect of being able to exchange powers with one another through physical touch.

Sample Text:
Johnny looked around. He just woke up in a hospital bed, he wondered what happened. "Uuugh..." He groaned, his head hurt. He looked around, and slowly sat up. Where was the others? What happened after the N-Zone Teleporter thing went out of control? Was his sister okay? A nurse walked into the room, her eyes widened as she saw Johnny trying to sit up. She said something in French. "What? What does that even mean?" He asked. She said something in French again, then she realized he couldn't understand her.

She walked out of the room, and called for a doctor. He rubbed his head, how long has he been out? He looked around the room, there were things that he couldn't read. Was he even in America right now? A doctor walked in, he held a chart and looked at Johnny. "Hello, I am Dr. Leon. I'm glad you've woken up. You vere out vor almost a day." His voice was heavily accented, was this guy French? "Where am I?" The French doctor smiled, "Vhy you're at Beliveau Hospital." Johnny scratched his head, confused. "Not that, like what city am I in right now?" The French doctor was patient with Johnny, "Paris." He said.

Johnny's eyes widened, "WHAT!?" He then ignited in flames. The doctor jumped back, he yelled in French. The nurse ran in to help the doctor, when she saw Johnny in flames, she shrieked. "AAAHHH!!!" Johnny yelled, "SOMEONE HELP ME!!" The sprinklers finally turned on, but it didn't do much! The nurse ran out of the room. What was happening!? Johnny fell out of the bed, he then touched the heart monitor, only to make it burst into flames and spark. Johnny dropped and rolled, nothing was working! "I'M ON FIRE!! SOMEONE DO SOMETHING!!" The nurse came back with a fire extinguisher and fired it at Johnny.

Player Name: Sep
Character You Wish To Play:Doctor Robert 'Bruce' Banner / Hulk
Alias: Green Goliath, Incredible Hulk, Indestructible Hulk etc.
Moral Alignment: Hero / W.T.L
Affiliation: Formerly U.S Government
Character Origin & Backstory: Robert Bruce Banner, or as he was so often called simply 'Bruce Banner' was the son of a wife beating, violent but brilliant scientist. David Banner. Being raised on a military base in Vista Verde New Mexico Bruce led a relatively secluded life, rarely leaving the house except to go to school. Little did he know this was largely in part to his father conducting illegal experiments on him. On his sixth birthday there was a tremendous explosion as his father came home in a fit of rage. Trying to drag Bruce away his mother thought back, in the process she was stabbed and killed. Though before his father could drag him away the military arrive and his father was arrested.

Bruce since then was raised by his aunt and himself became interested in science. Particularly the use of radiation, both traditional radiation such but also the newly discovered Gamma energy. However like most brilliant scientists though he sought to make the world a better place he ended up working for the military as it was the only way he could secure funding. Working in the field of radiation this included the process of making a bomb. It took years to develop, the calculated yield was far higher than any nuclear ordinance ever tested. On the test run things went very wrong, a grad student Rick Jones for reasons beyond everyones comprehension was on the testing grounds and in the case of heroism Bruce ran out to save him. While Rick Jones was saved from the radiation of the blast Bruces body absorbed much of it. The radiation interacted with the drug cocktail his father had given him as a child and the Hulk was born.

The Green Goliath appeared out of nowhere and terrorized the military base, Bruce Banner was found later and then admitted to a military hospital. The doctors presumed that in a daze he had wandered off the bomb range, as if he was pushed off by the blast wave he would have had substantial injuries however he appeared to be relatively unharmed. At the same time the military began the hunt for the giant that they dubbed the 'Hulk' a creature capable of catastrophic levels of damage. Nothing seemed to phase it, nobody appeared to connect the dots until the day General Thaddeaus Ross confronted Bruce Banner in his hospital bed. As his heart race his skin began to turn a green hue, and his bones snapped and cracked. Before long where Bruce had laid sat the Hulk, he tore through Ross and the hospital going on to destroy a reasonable portion of Vista Verde in the process. Throughout the next couple of months Bruce was on the run, managing to stay one step ahead of the military sometimes. Other times they caught up to him and engaged him, wherever the Hulk was seen destruction followed.

Eventually Bruce sought to change things, seeking out the resources of Norman Osborne and OsCorp industries (Knowing that OsCorp had played around in biological engineering) in order to find a cure. Though in the process of going towards OsCorp the Hulk emerged and the Hulk got into a fight with the city itself and the U.S. Military. That was until two heroes, Ms.America and Thor (Tarene) interfered. The fight escalated and Hulk seemed to reach some form of equilibrium saving a family from falling rubble (from a well intended plan). Loki broke up the fight prematurely and teleported Hulk to Australia. Bruce spent some time there, after calming down. Began to settle himself in to spend time there all alone, thinking that he was finally somewhere where he wouldn't need to worry about the Hulk ever again. Weapon X had other ideas.

As Wolverine infiltrated one of the Helicarriers and downloaded data on the Hulk, including his presumed location. Thanks to the range of abilities boasted by the team Weapon X had managed to assemble, Hulk (after causing a large amount of damage) finally fell to the hands of Weapon X. However Hulk wasn't one to be held long, in experimentation Bruce and Hulk managed to make a 'deal' and the two stormed out of the facility leaving naught but a crater behind. In the process of running Hulk came across Agent Parrington A.K.A Valkyrie who tried to sooth him, and appeared to do so before Hulk disappeared, and has not been seen since.
Season 1 Summary:See history.
Powers and Abilities:

Sample Story Arcs:

Hulk v.s. Banner: Whose body is it? Does Banner keep Hulk from his body? Or does Hulk steal Banners?
Hulk CAPTURED: General Ross finally managed to get his hands on the Green Goliath.
Abomination: Emil Blonksy, first soldier, then supersoldier, then man obsessed, then monster.
It's a Gamma World: After Samuel Sterns becomes the Leader he has plans to make a race of beings in his image (Avenger tie in possible)
Green Avenger: (If FalCap comes off the Team) Hulk is convinced to join the Avengers, albeit begrudgingly. Working as part of a team doesn't come naturally, especially with the suspicion that seems to follow Hulk wherever he goes.

Notes: I want to retcon that last story with Doctor Crawford, I'm not happy with how I did it. So if everyone can just forget about that, it'd be great. Thanks.

Character You Wish To Play: Theodore “Teddy" Altman

Alias: Hulkling

Moral Alignment: Good

Affiliation: SHIELD, Young Avengers

Character Origin & Backstory: For as long as Teddy could remember, he had always lived and knew about SHIELD. He never really knew his father, his mother when pressed on the subject always told him he was a great man. However he was a great man who couldn't be there because of difficult circumstances. Still because of Teddy's mom working a high profile job in SHIELD's research department. Her work was mostly in otherworldly species, either ones discovered by astronomical projects or suspected to be living on Earth. Because of her work mostly involving working on the main helicarrier meant Teddy mostly spent his early years on the ship. He was well liked by personal, Dum Dum Dugan even lets Teddy refer to him as ‘Uncle Dum'. Teddy had a few friends on the ship his age, but considering the dangers associated with living on the helicarrier not many on board were willing to let their kids live there. Thus Teddy's friends growing up were few and far between.

As Teddy grew up he knew he wanted to be a part of SHIELD himself and actually serve himself. His mom was encouraging about it, but those who knew her knew how worried she was about the possibility. Not just because of the dangers, but she admitted she was worried ‘certain people' were out there looking for him. Though she kept all that from Teddy, not at all sure how to talk to him about it. Teddy though had his own doubts about making it in SHIELD. He was to put it lightly, fairly skinny and not well built as he went through puberty. That all changed when one night he went to bed a normal, scrawny kid. Waking up to be a green muscular monster.

Though freaked out at first, Teddy quickly realized that these powers of his, where ever they came from. Made him more than capable of excelling in SHIELD. He got through all the training and became an agent in record time. All the while his mother was concerned, but outwardly very encouraging for him. Teddy's abilities and his personality have given him duel roles when sent out on assignments. His powers allow him to handle high end missions even given his inexperience. His warm personality and ability to shapeshift into a normal person giving him peacekeeping assignments. Its busy work, but Teddy takes it all in stride, very much happy being a SHIELD agent.

That same personality has made him a hit with a lot of people in SHIELD. His approachable, a bit on the goofy side, and very much a nerd with an affinity for superheroes either real or in comic book.

Season 1 Summary: Mostly was out handling odds and ends for SHIELD, also him and his mom took a trip to Disneyworld. It was awesome!

Powers and Abilities: Teddy's main ability comes from being able to shapeshift. While he has his ‘normal' appearance, with his blond hair, and fit 6'2 frame. Teddy typically transforms into a 6‘8 green half human, half alien looking form. With scales on his shoulders, clawed hands, and dragon like wings that sprout out of his back. Outside of that though Teddy can change into other people, but he cannot replicate their powers if they have any. His powers can also protect him at a subconscious level from any vital organs getting shot or pierced, and heal faster than normal. On top of that, Teddy has superhuman strength. His current limits being a vertical press of around 10 tons.

Sample Story Arcs: When the Young Avengers program begins naturally Hulkling is among the first considered for it. Which he happily accepts, seeing how he can become a full pledge superhero by doing so.

Comfortably open in his homosexuality, Teddy in his works ends up meeting a mysterious magical using young man. Despite said young man's annoying speedster twin brother, the sparks fly between the two.

Finally learning the truth about his powers, and his family's history. Starts a dangerous and very hostile situation for all those around Teddy.
