Search a 1980 zombie horror film known as Hell of the Living Dead, it may not be the worst movie. But even by the name you can tell it sounds bad. I haven't seen it in a while, and I refuse to go out of my way and look up the story on Wikipedia.
The story is basically where three S.W.A.T. team commandos go out on a mission at a place known as a Hope Center to take out terrorists who have a Bio-Weapon known as Operation Sweet Death. The three wipe out the terrorists, but not before Sweet Death was released into the air. The last terrorist who is barely breathing states that the three commandos will get eaten life, then proceeds to die.
Then they go out to investigate a country that seems to be filled with zombies. (Note: This movie is only scary at the ending, where it gets very bloody.) They soon meet a reporter lady and her camera man, and a family. They go on a jeep around, killing zombies and trying to escape.
A family with this group is soon killed, as it is realized the young son is infected and he kills his father, why the mother gets eaten by three zombies. The three commandos come back after looking for water to find the kid with blood on his face, and kill the kid.
Soon after literal scenes of comic-book looking zombies get shot-up. (One of the zombies have half of their face ripped off, showing their skull. Very comic bookish.) They proceed to go back to the Hope Center. One of the commandos and the camera guy fall into a elevator and get eaten alive by the walking dead in a elevator in the Hope Center.
The last two commandos and the reporter proceed to basically explore the Hope Center and learn the reasons why the dead are one again living. And soon enough, the same commando that fell in the elevator comes back as a zombie, leading a horde of the dead towards the three survivors, not to mention they are being swarmed from the left and right.
What scared me when I was kind of little was when the reporter lady was grabbed by the undead, and gruesomely had her tongue ripped out and her eyeballs pulled out. The other two commandos had equally as brutal deaths. The movie then switches to a random couple that gets attacked by the dead, stating that the terrorists' plans had worked and the U.S.A. has been infected with the dead.
This movie used STOCK FOOTAGE, for the scenes where they were in the jungle. Not to mention the gore was about the least offensive thing about this movie, but it should be the most offensive BECAUSE IT'S AN ZOMBIE MOVIE. This movie was supposed to be the Italian equivalent to Dawn of the Dead, a masterpiece zombie film by George Romero made in 1979. They even ripped off the S.W.A.T. costumes practically from Dawn of the Dead.
There are even worse names for the movie, one is Zombie Creeping Flesh, the other is Night of the Zombies, the last is Virus, and sometimes the movie is called Apocalypse.
