@LeeRoy A small point: How is Shin aware that Corban is not using his true weapon? She is morphic, so there are no physical identifiers, and Corban has arrived to duels many times with Ishtalle in similar forms.

@Divinity
The character sheet that I have, the one you sent to me a while ago, has the one weapon. Just the one. With no sheath for any weapon, two and two can be put together. People don't normally just pull a weapon out of thin air.

That's what I'm saying.

Even without any OOC knowledge, Shin could put it together that it's a transformative weapon.

A: No sheath visible on her body.
B: Abstract weapon form.
C: Different weapon from before.
D: Previous knowledge of transformative weapons.

I don't honestly see any problem here. In fact I don't understand the question in the first place. Shin was saying that this weapon wasn't the same she was using before, and with no other weapon on her it can be assumed. Shin didn't say that this wasn't her main weapon.

You uh.

Don't know what Jai Alai is, do you? I suggest googling it. You threw yourself face first into what's going to happen in my next post.

I'll be home about 4 hours from now. Then I'll have time to post in about an hour from then.

I'm actually familiar with it. I plan for a lot, and I believe I know the general gist of what's to come. I'm quite excited to see what you've got planned!

@Divinity
You must have misread my spin, it begins with the staff being spun and then swung forward in an almost baseball swing. That's the beginning of the spin.

If I did it was an honest mistake, but I In particular, I was referencing this:

"he would stop his run and turn on his heel. Spinning the bladed staff behind himself and completing a full bodily rotation"

With a special emphasis on the pivot of his heel, and 'full bodily rotation' are what led me to believe your character was spinning and not just the weapon. Unless you mean you did spin, it jjust started with the weapon, in which case I still would say Crystal didnt erect her shield until the actual physical spin had began, not the motion leading into it.

@Divinity
If Corban hadn't started moving by the time he got in melee range, he would stop his run and turn on his heel.

Neglected the first bit, but I can see the confusion. I meant it as, he would stop. Bring the staff around, and begin the spin. That's what the "Ensure that the staff would be between himself and her during the full duration of the spin." bit meant.

Not spin with the staff behind him the entire time.

I didnt neglect it. I intentionally did not move, specifically to bait the spin o.o

At the beginning of the spin he would still be facing her, is the point I'm making. He wouldn't have his back to her.

As I'm understanding, you're saying you flourished your weapon just before spinning, or as you were spinning. If you did flourish your weapon, then she did not begin her movements until he started the physical spin. If they were simultaneous, then I would imagine this rule would still apply, not moving until she saw your angular momentun, by which point youd be facing her from the side for only a brief moment before he would be turned away from her.

All in all, I'm saying that whatever he did, she did not respond to until after he had begun actually spinning and no action before. And as I'm seeing the timeline, her shields would be summoned as he was turned, and were fully formed by the time he came fill circle to attack her with the paddle.

Edit: I know this is a small detail and I don't think it effects much, but I'm just trying to ensure we stay on the same page. I have learned my lesson since Dazsos.

We're on roughly the same page, but at most he would only be shouldered towards her. Once the staff and spell collided he did stop his rotation entirely.
