@Kho homeworld still is quite the gem, it has a very mythological story, about a people banished to a desert world for millenia, until they discover a Starship in the sands with a map to their homeworld. The feel is less medieval but rather antique or biblical, but definitely not all shiny futureness.

While I wouldn't tag spyro's soundtrack as very good, I think the sheer uniqueness of the tunes make it memorable enough. In my younger days I liked the more active stuff, Beast maker's home, Gnasty's loot, Doc Shemp... But now I think I prefer the more calm Dreamweaver themes...

Also, yeah, I started to like the word Dreamweaver because of this game. As I said before, most of my stuff, except Ilunabar and Susa, are named after tunes I like.

Yeah, after going through it again I can agree that it ain't all that...but I'll be damned if I don't say those tunes give me the biggest nostalgia boner this side of the milky way. Too bad Spyro just kinda hit a flat point after the PS1 era hit. Year of the Dragon was a great game.

Ah, all this talk of various games brings out the nostaligia.

I'm always late to jump on bangwagons @Vec, since I only started League a few months ago if you remember that from the OOC. But anyways what makes you say the game is dead? I'm aware that it had more players at one point, but there's still a sizeable base, new champions are coming out, and the meta is probably in a good place since most champions seem viable (From what I've heard, that definitely wasn't the case in past seasons).

@Kho We do have similar taste, believe it or not! My feelings on Total War and Crusader Kings are the same, though until CK3 co,es out (if it ever does) I'm playing mostly EU4. Though thematically I love CK, it just lacks the sheer strategic depth that EU4 has and thus I no longer enjoy the gameplay very much.

I really like RuneScape's storyline. It was my first MMORPG and every year or two I play it again for a phase of a few months to check out new content. I try to make all of my characters with a myriad of influences, but Lucien from RuneScape and the fire demon from Bound by Flame (a great game btw) were probably the two biggest influences for Ialu.

I used to like WoW for the gameplay and have played it since mid Burning Crusade, but that game peaked for me with Wrath of the Lich King. I'm debating whether I even care enough to try Legion when it's released.

Best standalone RPG is still probably Zelda. Ocarina of Time was the first game I really got into, and Wind Waker is just the best thing ever (though I seem alone in my adoration of that game's sailing and exploration theme).

Also, @Cyclone. Which reaction will Zeph have to him being set free after his sentence ends?

What makes you think that Zeph's sentence will simply come to its end? DUN DUN DUNN /end of foreshadowing

There seems to be so,e unspoken agreement amongst Kho and Rtron that I'm the guy who handles newcomers. So...hi!

As others have already said, there was Julkolfyr who had the shadows/darkness theme but the guy who RP'd Julkolfyr is gone and IC his character is being imprisoned by Vestec, the demented our beloved god of chaos.

So the spot is indeed open for you! If you've already more or less ironed out a character concept you can post a sheet here in the OOC for us to talk about, but otherwise we can help you figure something out.

Thinking about how your character will come into existence is a good place to start.

I think the best villian from World of Warcraft was the Lich King. They way they build up his storyline from warcraft 3 into world of warcraft it really was great storytelling. One of my Characters I created is based around him. Not completely but something simlar since he was the best villian.

I also enjoyed Sylvanas Story and how she was out for Revenge Etc. Another Favorite Wow Character of mine. I love the Forsaken.. I wish they would be there own faction because they need to be. They are not good or bad.. They are just Forsaken.

But anyway I have several questions for this RP

1 - For DemiGods how do they use Might.. Do they use it the same way as gods do ( it is not clear how they can use it in the OP )

2 - If I want to be the DemiGod of the Shadows.. But I do not think the other person playing the god of Shadows had any children. How would I go about explaining how I became a Demi god ?

3 - Is it possible that I could be a DemiGod of Pain ?. I have a brief idea on how I want to make that work.. But IT will take a bit of Fantasy to explain why his Worshipers love to inflect pain on each other.

Don't think that's what Cyclone meant xP
The god of Darkness (Shadows), Julkolfyr, is currently imprisoned by Vestec. He is an NPC and will most likely continue as such. Your best bet is to create a new character altogether, a demigod of darkness or pain or any such thing.

@Cyclone I agree with you regarding CKII, but I don't think the strategic element is really its focus: there's a great amount of emphasis on the roleplay aspect. You know, keeping those damn dukes and whatnots in line, not keeping armies raised forever. Or if you start off as a duke or lower tier ruler, working out how to usurp the damn throne through a delicate web of marriages, assassinations and war

Name: Altair

Alias: The Magnificent Living Monument to the Complexity of the Mind (only he calls himself this), Insufferable Twit/Irritating Fartknocker/Coffin-Dodging Oxygen Thief/Moron/etc. (everyone else calls him this)

Gender: Male

Domain (Portfolio): Deception (Riddles)

Domain (Portfolio) Description: Altair's abilities circle around misdirection and confusion. It's the essense of a puzzle or a game and it requires creativity and careful thinking to overcome. It can create or turn written knowledge into riddles. It's a power that can be used to manipulate people, for better or for worse. It can bend someone to your will, misleading them away from their intended goal. It can be used to present a challenge, driving one forward to think, overcome, and improve.

Alignment: Chaotic Good

Personality: Altair is a very laid back individual who loves both relaxing and irritating anyone within earshot. As talkative as he is, he's very introverted, and will often drive people away by being obnoxiously cryptic with every word that comes out of his mouth, with the exception of a few close friends. He's regularly pretty cheery or calm and he's very difficult to anger, and when he is angry he hides it as best he can. However, no doubt he'll be extremely passive aggressive and ruin the day of whoever made him mad.
He's facinated with the mind and how people solve puzzles and problems in creative ways. His favorite kinds of people are not those who are defeated by his riddles, but those who aren't. In the long run, his goal is to bring community together, not fighting over trivial things but pushing the limits of their own personal knowledge and self-improvement, helping one another and problem solving to advance into a brighter future.

Appearance: --Appearance coming soon--

Musical Theme: youtu.be/pUDNnCtrP6E

Description: The creator of riddles, Altair enjoys solving puzzles and games for fun. He's very relaxed and won't often choose to seek out anyone to talk to and bother them, and he hopes they won't bother him in return. He uses his powers to spark challenges for civilization, pushing people to use their heads and rewarding those who do.

@Rtron

They do need parents actually. Well He needs a Mother because he is the Lord of Darkness Son.
Unless it does not matter really who there parents are ( Curious Does the parent determine what powers they have ? )
In any case Vestec would be a good parent for my DemiGod.. Since it would make sense.. Lord of chaos has a son who is the Demigod of nightmares

So I accept you as his parent.. Although maybe we should keep that a secret and go with the offcial story he is the son of the lord of Darkness :P

I have Read The Op many times ( I understand most of it. Just a bit confused with how Demigods can use might since they are not gods. And Might is only mentioned under gods and what they can do with it ). But apparently they can do the same things. Alright cool

And I have read some of the DemiGod Character sheets as well. the reason I asked was because normally. The Demigod gets his or her powers from there parents. But I was not sure if that was the case here.
