Character Name: Jaydrah Traestar
Aliases: "The Noble Lady", "The Beautiful Mistake"

Sex|gender: Female

Race: Human

Appearance:

Distinguishing features: A pair of revolvers tattooed on her right shoulder

Age: 23

Occupation: The daughter of a lesser noble, Jaydrah spent her days amidst the nobility, kissing rings and bowing to those of higher social status. Her father's wealth was not enough that she could rise above her station, but enough that she could live comfortably. As a child, she was interested in acting and the theater, so she spent most of her youth learning how to be someone else, and look like someone else.

Jaydrah took up as a thief. But not the common street cutpurses. Rather, she was a woman of confidence. She would charm her way into the hearts of others, and then rob them blind.

Crime: 5 Counts of Grand Larceny (totaling over 30,000 Algrian Marks), 17 Counts of Bribing an Officer of the Peace, 12 Counts of Impersonating a Public Official.

Starting Equipment: 2 revolvers manufactured by Tressian Arms, two thigh holsters and ammunition, and a bandolier of throwing daggers.

Personal Items: A ring given to her by her father. It is a simple platinum band with no markings. She has a pair of ivory handled revolvers that were given to her for her 16th birthday, but she hid them before she was arrested.

Personality: Jaydrah is a take-no attitude woman, raised in a household where she was expected to carry her weight with chores, and later with work. Her driving principle is to take from those who have too much and give it to those who have too little. Sometimes that's the poor and needy, sometimes its her.

Character Quest: Jaydrah loves the thrill of the game, the adrenaline that pumps through her veins as she's on the edge of a massive score. She wants to embarrass the upper nobility and show them that they are not the untouchables that they think they are. Above all, she wants to retire from a life of crime with a comfortable fortune and no need to ever work a day in her life. But before that, she wants to find out who betrayed her and led to her arrest.

Bio: Jaydrah is always looking for an angle to play. She has trained herself to adjust her voice to mimic accents from other territories and social levels, and has some skill as a scribe -- though she is in no way a professional forger. She has made friends in the wrong places and can leverage those relationships for supplies and information if given the chance.

RP Example:
Jaydrah rubbed her thumb on the wooden handle of the revolver on her right hip. It was cheap and coarse, mass-produced for profit and not comfort, but it was a welcome weight on her hip. Someday, she'd retrieve the ivory handled pistols her father had given her for her sixteenth birthday, but these would do for now. They were reliable and accurate, and they were a symbol that she was free. For now.

Seven years of schemes and thieving had ended in iron. She wondered, in this brief moment of calm, where she'd slipped up. It hadn't even been her most devious con, nor her most promising score. She stood to make a few hundred marks off of an investment deal that didn't exist. One minute she was taking the signed promissory note, and the next a dozen Royal Police were all around her. She had played the con over and over in her mind and come to the same conclusion: someone had sold her out.

Her circle of friends was small. She bought her supplies in small bits, from different merchants and street sellers. There were few who knew of her ... endeavors. Now she was a marked woman; she'd never walk free again without looking over her shoulder. She would have to remake herself before she hunted down the traitor, but hunt them down she would.

Finished my Bio. IMO its a bit long-winded, but then I also have to explain roughly 350 years of life, so it aught to be.

Character Name:
"Derin Polaymy. Yes, it's pronounced 'pole-ayy-me'. Takes people forever to work that out."

Sex|gender:
"Definitely straight male, duh! Though I did drink this one weird concoction one time which would have you think otherwise, hehe!"

Race:
"Human. At least I'd hope so. Just between you and me, those Ornok's are quite... smelly. I mean, I smell pretty bad, but not that bad... right? Right?"

Distinguishing features:
"You mean aside from my hair? Well... no. I mean I don't get scars because I typically try to avoid the bullets as much as possible. But anyways, my hair; there are nobles out there who'd love a piece of it! I mean, isn't it awesome? Golden orange with a tint of red at the- oh, next question? OK..."

Age:
"Three. Wait, you wanted physical age, right? Well, I think I'm in my mid-twenties. I honestly don't know, we didn't keep much track on the mountain, but it's about there."

Occupation:
"I was a petite, young noblewoman, ready to be married to prince charming, with a floating castle and a majestic baby rainbow unicorn named whiskers! Oww! Jeez, no need to be rude...! Think of me as a demon hunter slash alchemist slash inventor slash scientist slash badass. A bit ironic considering what I did, I know, but... well, I never said I was an experienced demon hunter. See, Master trained me to kill things, and to make things, and I wasn't really shown about civilization much. Yes, I'm aware I'm guilty, but it honestly was an accident! I'll wring the bastard who fooled me..."

Crime:
Derin is silent for a few moments and sighs. "Yeah... I did it. And yes, I do honestly feel bad, and if my own death could bring them back then I would honestly do so. And I keep tellin' you, man, someone tricked me into killing those people. I mean, bearing witness to something like bringing back the dead, especially if you haven't seen it before, it's... well, it's hard to swallow. I will not deny that I killed several members of The Veiled Mistress. I'd rather not talk about how many there were... I'm still a bit shaken. Sorry."

Starting Equipment:
"Let's see... Aha! A Black N' Silver leaver-action shotgun! And a pair of revolvers as well? I'm gettin' lucky today! Alright, let's see... Smoke grenade, flare, bag o' dust, and a couple knives? I'll refine those for throwing! Hehe! Oooh, and there's even a sword? Wooden, but it'll do... Aaaaaaand... darts? We can make it work."

Personal Items:
From his neck, Derin removes a damaged, old rune attached to a chain. "This here is my little memory trinket. Helps me think clearly when I get a bit... stressed. Reminds me of the better days, when I wasn't a killer..." Derin shudders somewhat and retracts the trinket, fiddling with it a little before letting it rest around his neck once again. Reaching into his pocket, he reveals a rather rugged-looking compass. "This was the first successful invention I made. It's helped me out quite a bit, you know with directions and all that. Was a pain to work out how to get it to work, but when I did, ohoho I was stoked!"

Personality:

"OK, I know I can be a bit of a smartass sometimes, but people have a tendency to perceive me in the wrong ways because of that! I'm actually pretty intelligent!" He beams a grin before leaning back, head resting against his hands. "Oh, and that's my ego. His name's Fred. He's a cock. Anyways, I have a bit of a hero complex - I wanna be the leader, the planner, the guy who can pull everyone through when times are tough, but... I'm kinda average. I mean if you think about it I'm just some mountain hick who was never really exposed to society. I spend a lot of time tinkering with things and I like to make, and everyone knows I'm horrible with the ladies. Considering I only knew, like, one girl up until now, well... yeah. And in case you haven't noticed yet, I'm a bit talkative."

Character Quest:
"I wanna help people. That probably sounds fucked up from a guy who murdered more than thirty people not too long ago, but I honestly wanna help people. I want to experience what it's like to make friends, go out, get the girl, and to be a hero. I want to invent and refine, but also protect and serve. I dunno, I just wanna... be a hero, I guess."

Bio/RP Example:

"You wanna know 'bout moi? I can't say it's the most interesting story around - I'm sure there are plenty others who've lived way more successful lives, if you'd care to bend the meaning of 'success'. Anyways, may I present to you a brief history of the legendary Derin Polaymy! Chapter one: You ONLY Live Once!

I started out living in this small village by the mountains in the middle of nowhere. Found out only the other day you guys call it 'Jaku', or at least that's what the area is known as. We were right next to some 'Great Void' or something, but we didn't really care. It helped us in a weird way. We were isolated, but it was a nice little village. About three or four human households, and then two more dwarvern. We basically just farmed and lived off the land, and didn't do a whole lot of anything else. Despite the solitude, we were pretty happy. I liked living in that small village..." Derin's gaze goes far off, and he stops talking for a couple seconds before snapping out of his daydream. "Ah, yeah, anyways everyone knows that this is the bad part of the story, so I'll just cut it short and say we were attacked by... things. They weren't Ornoks, but they were kinda like 'em, vaguely. Destroyed the whole village, killed my parents and older sister. Only reason I survived was because of her..."

Derin sighs and looks down at his necklace for a moment, taking a deep breath before continuing. "So everyone in the village knew my master, The Man of the Mountains. Ever heard of him? Regardless, I knew him too - I'd actually taken food up to him one time with my father, though I'd never seen him until I climbed up there again. Was a long-ass walk - by the end of it I was pretty much dead. And as you can guess, my master was there to catch me when I fell...
... Before swiftly kneeing me in the gut. First thing I learned from him was that he was a hard-ass. Learned that the hard way. Second thing I learned was I had to make my own food. Learned that the hard way too. But he didn't turn me away. Instead, he took me in, taught me everything he knew; I basically became his apprentice. It was hard to keep up, and if you didn't keep up in the lectures, he'd kick your ass in the physical training. Learned that the hard way as well. But, I began picking up the slack, and he began to teach me more about the harder stuff. At this point though I'd already grown a pretty smart mug on me, so I was like a masochist and he was the sadist. But hey, I think I turned out OK."

Clearing his throat, Derin smiles as he stretches his arms. "His health started deteriorating - I could tell, because he started going easy on me. Despite that, I did my very best to work harder and harder. I wanted to be the best damn apprentice of them all, and so I learned to study and practice on my own. As we both grew older, he began teaching me in other, more complex fields: gunsmithing, shooting, alchemy, advanced sciences, languages, all that juicy stuff. I also started getting hit less and less, though not because he was getting weaker. I was actually getting the hang of pullin' my weight. Pretty soon, Master didn't even need to ask. I was either learning it, or it was already learnt.

Eventually I ran out of things to learn though. Master didn't need a replacement, at least not just yet, so after a few final tests we got to see which of us was better, both physically and mentally. As expected I lost, but he recognized my efforts and I knew it was about time for me to head off. So, I gathered as much food as I could, hauled it up the mountain, and gave it to master as a thank-you gift before heading out on my own. Knowing him he would've hated me for doing that, but I figured if he was only going to get weaker, he'd need some spare food for when he couldn't hunt, hehehe!"
Derin taps at his chin as he thought how best to continue his story. "The remaining stuff was me going around Jaku, doing all sorts of adventures. I'd heard of Algria and I really wanted to see it for myself, so I headed in that direction, after asking for directions several times and using my compass. Unfortunately, I arrived in chains. Some traveler was spewing nonsense about a certain religion being evil, and me being an idiot took his word for it. I would... prefer not talk about the event, but to put it simply, there were... a lot of bodies. And lots of blood..." Derin gulps, visibly shaking, before shaking off the thought and inhaling deep. "And so I ended up in prison. That was chapter one of Derin Polaymy's life. Please buy the second chapter for ninety-nine Algrian gold pieces, and your spleen. I'm a zombie, after all!"

Apologies for my absence yesterday, I feel I should warn those present that I may go a day or two without replying due to my current employment...

That said, I'm going to be going over all of the finished apps present thusfar. I will edit this post with my conclusions within an hour or two.

@TemplarKnight07 Gottrik is accepted, slap the app up in the "Characters" section.

@Birds and Bear Whole heartedly accepted, add that fine young man to the characters section.

@Delta44 Unless you intend to write in a feasible 'demon' race, none exist here, try again.

@User Might I recommend looking up some music? I find a good selection of songs that follow a beat similar to what I have in mind can inspire my ideas.

I obviously have a very soft spot for Two Steps from Hell. They do alot of Theatrical/Orchestral music.

1,000 apologies, I've spent the last day 'n a half with the power company arguing I'd paid my bill and they only JUST now turned it back on.

I'm going to be answering all questions immediately.

Work in progress here, I'll add to it over the next bit.

Both ladies accepted, add them to the "Character" section.

@User I've been contemplating having a Co-Op since day 1, truth be told. I've been watching players throughout and will in fact be slapping up a notice in the OP and title to advertise this need more openly.
