"Of course", James turned back towards the way they had come and took a confident step forward only to freeze as he was struck by a sudden realization. He had no idea where anything was on this island, let alone what particular stores Iris was looking for. A little embarrassed he turned back to Iris rubbing the back of his head "I'm afraid I'm going to need your help finding our way there"

"Of course I will help you," Iris says as she walks pass the church to where all the ships are still import. At least someone is handing out maps for newcomers. She grabs one and spreads it out near a light. "This seems like a good place to shop for stuff." Iris says as she studies the map before walking in the store's direction. "Are you going to buy something as well while we are here?"

Johnn couldn't help but feel a little disappointed at the fact that he had seemingly failed to get a rise out of the dwarf; Sure he suspected that due to the gathering of villains that there would have to be a lack of light heartedness amougst the staff but he didn't even get a jump scare...

Gazing up at the altar as he approached, John couldn't help but feel the itch in his bones to helpfully point where improvements to the decor could have been made; He respected the fact that those who had organised the event had to have gone to great lengths already to accommodate him and his people and considering the number of weddings that they had to perform they had really gone above and beyond the call of duty.

Offering the dwarf a "Thank you.", John walked up to take his place at the altar with all the poise and dignity of his father the Pumpking King himself would expect.

As the trumpets blared, signaling the last wedding, Pheonix's mouth formed into an intimidating smirk. "That's my cue..." she muttered to herself, before exiting the main chapel. She had been told that it wouldn't be in the big chapel, but rather one behind it. She had been told that the one it was happening because it better fit the groom, whatever that meant.

So she exited through the big double doors and went around the side, walking all the way behind it. There, she did, indeed, find a smaller building. She made sure she had her backpack on, straightened up her red flannel (which she had put on while she was waiting for her wedding, but was also the only change she made, leaving her the only bride without a dress), and entered. Pheonix almost laughed when she entered to see that her half was completely empty, leaving only the groom's half. She quickly removed her backpack, unzipped it, and pulled out a Polaroid camera. She suddenly snapped a picture of it all, taking out the polaroid, shaking it, and putting it and her camera back into her backpack. Glass Half Empty is what she'd call it. Then she swung the backpack over her shoulders again, she started down the aisle, her Chuck Taylor high tops making an inelegant Plat with every step, squeaking every other one.

Then, as she walked down the aisle, Pheonix got a closer look at the groom's friends and family. They definitely were not human. They appeared to all be different sorts of ghosts and ghouls. Pheonix's smirk grew. Sweet... she thought, before getting to the front where her future husband was waiting. She grinned as she finally laid her eyes on him. "You look badass." she said. "Can you decapitate yourself and quote Hamlet?"

"Do you Phoenix Firebird promise to walk by John Skellington side forever. Do you promise to love, help and encourage his in all that he does. Do you promise to take time to talk to his, listen to his, and care for his? Will you share his laughter and tears? Will you become his partner lover and best friend? When Pheonix heard her name, she turned her head slightly to see a short man, who looked to be some sort of priest. Her smirk then turned to a small frown. "I promise to marry him." she said. "That's all I was asked to do. Not any of this partner, lover, and best friend bullshit. So give us matching rings so we can get on with our lives."

"Are you refusing to say the vows as they have been written? Ate you saying you will not a bid by the plan laid before you?" the witch doctor asked. He hadn't expected resistance. He had been told that all those here knew what was expected of tgem. While love would take tine. But the couples were expected to become friends and partners at the very least. And children were expected. Children would bind good and evil together in a away that marriage never would.

Pheonix's frown stooped a little lower, and her eyelids were half shut in frustration. "With all due respect, sir, what I'm saying is that I'll do exactly what I came here to do, nothing more, nothing less. That is my vow, and it's the best one you're going to get."

Turning to look at his bride to be, John couldn't help but grin a little at her questions. Taking a moment to consider them, he decided to answer "Yes, through I will confess that my Shakespeare is rather rusty. I do pride myself on my Count of Monte Crisco however..."

Watching in silence as the ceremony itself got underway, he wisely decided to stay out of the discussion between his future wife and the witch doctor performing the ceremony. All things considered it was to be expected; Politics tended not to care about small things like personal feelings after all.

Glancing over at the bride's side of the chapel, he couldn't help but frown a little at the complete and utter lack of anyone there. Alas there was little anyone could do about that now...

Roman wasn't very focused during the meetings, he tapped Roxy on the shoulder. "Hey so what do you want to do, would you like to go to our hotel room?" He asked trying to be as polite as possible.

Giving the map a once over James found that nothing really jumped out at him, well at least not yet the shops seemed pretty basic. The book store would be worth a good look but a well timed yawn reminded James of how tired he was and that he wouldn't be able to spend hours looking over their collection. He might just pick up some basic snacks for breakfast, it would mean he got to sleep in rather then go out in search of said breakfast.

"I'll probably just pick up some bare essentials, bread and such" he shrugged, as they walked by the book store, James was unable to stop himself from peeking inside. A small Cook Book among a pile of second hand Novels caught his eye in particular "After one brief stop off" he slipped inside to quick purchase the book.

"It is okay, we have all night long." Iris says as she is thinking intill we past out from being tired. She waits for James as he checks out the bookstore and notices he came out with a cook book. She wonders if James had a instrest in cooking or he is going to cook for her. They continue to walk to the next store she wanted to go and enters. "You can wonder around if you want, looking at girls clothes may get boring for you." She says as she starts looking through dresses, as she want a change of clothes for tomorrow.

Roger came up to the table and sat next to his wife. "So, you will be ruling a kingdom huh? And I'm gonna rule it with you?" He asked and nodded. "I can handle that. You just gotta teach me all the royal stuff. Deal?" He asked her.

As James leaves the book store he see's Iris's gaze on the book "I figured I needed a hobby I can do during the day, if we're going to be here for a long time" He pockets the book and rejoins Iris. At the mention of shopping the memory of his cousins pulling him from store to store trying on so many different shoes that he couldn't tell a sneaker from a high heal at the end of the day. Giving Iris a sheepish look he whispers "Thanks, I'll meet you back in here when you're done".

Walking through the stores the street provided James gather basic foods for breakfast tomorrow, eggs, bread and such. While he wanted to gather ingredients he figured he could come back another day for that.

The witch doctor raised an eyebrow and looked at the groom. He curious what the other man would asy to this odd development. The idea of the weddings was to produce children that bound the villians to heros. Many hoped that this would keep the choas and destruction of the villians to a minimum. But it seemd Phoenix wasn't going to play by the rules. Which meant this marriage didnt met the requirements so the groom could choose to refuse to through with the marriage. "What do you have to say to this?"

I don't mind showing me a thing or two about being a pirate." Lila says as she finish her pastry. "Do you want to go to our house," she ask as she drink some punch?

Iris did not want to torture her new husband. She will only buy the basics for now. She buys two dresses, a coat, a set of pajamas, and undergarments. She waits outside for James as she looks up the sky, maybe she should get a hobby as well. Maybe she could find one tomorrow. She yawns as her stomach growls, to her it sounds like a frog. She should not leave her spot intill he gets back, maybe he bring her a snack before she faints.

Slowly but surely James managed to navigate back to where he had started where Iris was waiting for him, he might have gotten back first had he not gotten lost. He realized how ridiculous that sounded when it was mostly just a shopping strip tonight rather than a thriving market one would expect during the day. She bought a little more than he had first guessed she was going for, surely she would have had her luggage delivered to where they were staying.

"Now not to be to be a little bit of a bummer but do you know where we're staying?" He sighed taking a couple of pieces of sliced bread out and offering one to Iris.

Roxy shrugged. She didn't really want to go to the hotrl. But she knew that she had to. She couldn't avoid being alone with him forever. They were married. Het parents would expect them to act like it. She would be expected to give him children in the future. She was scared about that. While the Big Bad Wolf had never been a major villian he was still a villian and she wasn't sure that she wanted to pass that in. Plus her husband was half wolf. Did that mean she would have pups rather then babies?

For a moment, John considered the possibility of just saying no and walking away; It wouldn't be to difficult since the witch doctor was clearly giving him an out right here and now and no one would be able to blame him for taking it. Truthfully he had never had much hope for just about any pairing that he could have gotten from this arranged marriage deal due to his status as a member of the undead being something of a hurdle towards having a proper relationship with a member of the living, but if he walked away now he would have to go back to Halloween Town after giving up at the first sign of trouble.

He couldn't do that to his father or his mother; They hadn't raised a quitter and he wasn't going to let them down after they put so much effort into getting his name on the list.

Keeping his voice down in order to not cause any more of a scene then had already occurred, John calmly answered the witch doctor "She said yes. She even provided her own vows, which is something I noticed most of the other couples didn't do. Since the lady is willing, I suggest we keep going."

Iris blush as she is enbrassed about buying more then she needs. She does not know if her luggage had arrive and what it may contain. She hope her mom did not switch the suitcases, to her that could be a nightmare. "I can show where we are staying at for the year," Iris says as she takes athe bread from him and takes a bite. She leads him to a hotel, "I guess we are staying in a fancy house."
