Tyaethe is telling nobles to claim the princess is dead because supposedly the would be assassin's sister was being held hostage. if the princess is dead, then the sister will stay live, or atleast thats the hoe.

Yah I figured that out a bit later

Either way a post is up also before people assume the worst with Viviane she is trying to speak that perhaps things are not as they seem. Just she does so in a overly bad manner of doing so.

Healing would make the scar go away at most, but not return her voicebox.

Theoretically you could make a new one, but I don't think anyone here can do that.

Honestly looking at diagrams of the throat...im not sure that if you were dead set on destroying the vocal folds you'd come from the outside. seems like it'd make more sense to go in through the mouth and destroy them from within windpipe.

So basically not only did she get mutilated, didnt even get mutilated effectively.

Current timeline of stuff known for the Iron Rose Knights:

Elionne saves Salferi, gets to form an order of knights. Lots of the knights come from already high-ranking backgrounds and all end up pretty legendary.
Amongst other things, they get to kill dragons.
Elionne kills a dragon on her own at one point.
Elionne becomes a saint shortly before vanishing.
At some point, the knights move into answering to the crown.
Phoren Cal did his rebellion and killed the last captain.
They move into producing marmalade.
