Life in a different world
Introduction
You walk down the street on a late Tuesday night thinking about what food you should eat for dinner. The only thing you can see are the spaces lit up by the street lanterns along your way but it just seems like an everyday evening. The silence of the street makes you bored and look at the time of your phone for a moment but the next thing you see as you look back up again is not the street you have been wandering before. A path of sand colored stones lies beneath your feet. The lack of light just now changed completely to a light shade of the sun from the shadows of the buildings next to you. You stop for a moment to take it all in as someone approaches you. The person asks if you are okay in which you gave a simple nod but you just can't believe what you see before you. Were those cat ears on her head moving just now?!
This rp is inspired by the anime, Re:Zero kara Hajimeru Isekai Seikatsu or so to say, Life in a different world. The rp won't be based on time travel or rewinding of time for set reasons. I don't think anyone would want to write the same kind of posts over and over till our protagonist succeeds. Instead I used the respawning mechanism of log horizon where you never truly die but meet certain conditions when you die instead. The rp had elements of different kind of anime that have the same kind of category. Still, I will try to make this rp as much biased towards the re zero anime as I can, so please support me in this stride. It will be a pleasure rping with you all.

Kingdom of Lugnica
The kingdom of Lugnica is one of the largest countries located on the southern part of the continent. The capital of the kingdom is known to be The Royal Capital of Lugnica where there are counted over 300.000 citizens living in the capital. All players will start in the royal capital, other races may start in one of the six larger cities or the smaller towns surrounding them. The six other big cities are located in a hexagram shape around the capital with each city having over 200.000 citizens each.

Of course I won't mind if players make up their own places or use places that aren't registered as long as I have a general idea it is fine.
Alam Village: Alam Village is a village located near Roswaal L Mathers's mansion with a population of around 300 people. The name of the village changes based on the surname of the current head. There is also a youth group created by the young people in the village.
Fleur: A small stopover town on the longer route to Roswaal's territory.
Lifaus Highway: A large thoroughfare where Flugel's Tree stands. The tree is large enough that it can be seen for miles.
Elior Forest: A dense woodland forest currently owned by Roswaal where the Elves once lived. It was frozen over by Emilia in the past.
Sanctuary: The Sanctuary is a poor village located within Roswaal's territory which has been taken care of by the various Mathers over the years. The village itself is a group of building located in a clearing within the forest and only halves live there. It is surrounded by a short fence with an old stone gate at the entrance. Although Roswaal refers to it as the Sanctuary, the villagers refer to it as the Witch of Greed's Graveyard.
Sanctuary Barrier: A barrier created by Echidna that prevents halves from going through it. Any halves that come close to it start to lose consciousness and feel as if their existence is being disturbed. Even if someone takes an unconscious half that has crossed the barrier, they will never awake outside the barrier as their spirit is trapped within it. The barrier checks the blood of those that go near it and only affects those it clearly determines as halves.
Priestella: Also known as the Water Gate City, Priestella is one of the five cities major cities and is the closest to Kararagi with the Tigracy River separating them. It is a beautiful city and a famous tourist location that is built in the middle of a large lake, with waterways running through the city. The waterways divide the city into four parts called avenues which are numbered clockwise from the main gate. It is also the birthplace of Hoshin of the Wilderness and has been long associated with merchants because of its proximity to Kararagi.
Water Plumage Inn: A Kararagi style inn located in Priestella's first avenue.
Mirula: Mirula is the closest town to the Augria Sand Dunes.
Augria Sand Dunes: The Augria Sand Dunes is an area located in the far eastern part of the Kingdom of Lugnica. Due to its close proximity to the Witch's Shrine, the Augria Sand Dunes has a high concentration of witch miasma, making it an ideal place for Demon Beasts to live. Demon Beasts that live here are larger than normal, tend to become violent, and some only live in the area.
Races
There are all kind of races in this world that the player may chose from, but it is encouraged to simply go with human just because of the idea of entering into another world and not being in it already. Still I don't mind for anyone to take another race as they see fit just remember that you have been living in this world for some time already and don't look up from new discoveries all that much. You can still respawn after death so don't worry about that. You will just notice it for the first time in this rp. You can also suggest a new race if you see fit (Races with a star are rare.)
Human: Everyone knows what humans are, they are by far the most populated race.
Wolf people: The body of a wolf but acting like human.
Nekomimi: The body of a human but traits like cats.
Elf*: Elves are a race of Demi Humans known for their longevity and beauty. Because of the Witch of Envy, Elves were also the target of prejudice from others.
Oni*: The Oni are a strong race of Demi Humans known for their strong bodies and mana quality. Despite their strength, they are generally a peaceful race, and tend to live in villages in the mountains away from others. Most Oni have two horns, however those with one or no horns are known as Hornless , and any Oni born with one horn are killed soon after birth.
Giant*: Giants are a Demi Human race of massive people with tremendous strength. They fought in various places during wartime and because of that their numbers had dwindled.
Half demi human*: Any of the above mixed with any other race.
Magic
Magic is made up out of the six elements; Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, Yin, and Yang. It is further classified into four categories; Fire Mana that covers heat, Water Mana that covers life and healing, Wind Mana that covers outside Divine Protections, and Earth Mana that covers inside Divine Protections. Some incantations for each element are Goa for fire, Huma for water, Fura for wind, Dona for earth, Akra for Yang and Shamak for Yin.
The strength of spells starts from the original incantation and increases by adding El, Ur, or Al example: Goa, El Goa, Ur Goa, and Al Goa for fire. Yin spells cover debuffs while Yang spells cover buffs. An ordinary person is considered to be well off if they are compatible with either fire, water, wind, or earth. Although incantations are generally used to cast spells, if the user is experience enough they can cast them without saying anything.
Incantations can only be used later on when the magic user has more knowledge about their own magic. When they are used before they are strong enough their magic pool will explode releasing their element all around the area. Note that not every person is able to use magic.
Spirit Magic
Spirit Magic is a type of craft similar to magic that Spirit Users employ.
Spirit Users, are people that are contracted with Spirits, and use them in various situations. There are three different classes of Spirits; Minute Spirits (Biseirei), Quasi Spirits (Junseirei), and Spirits (Seirei). There are also man made Spirits known as Artificial Spirits (Jinkou Seirei) which were created by the witch Echidna. Artificial spirits have terrible consume rate on the other hand. Unlike Magic users, Spirit Users gather mana from outside their body. Gathering it from the environment around them.
Spirits consume mana from their master which allows them to use greater magic then they can do on their own.
Divine Protection
Divine Protection are various boons that may be given to someone at birth.
Divine Protections are blessings given to people at birth by the world. Some races have a Divine Protection that is always given to members of that race. Most people are born without any Divine Protection, and those who are born with it know of their own Divine Protection without being told. The ratio of Divine Protection holders is 1:100 for useless ones, 1:1000 for useful ones, 1:10000 for somewhat rare ones, 1:100000 for really useful ones, 1:1000000 for unique ones, 1:10000000 for more than one, and the existence of those with more than one Divine Protection are considered to be strange.
Authorities
Authorities can be manifested within people after they have taken in Witch Genes. After taking in the witch genes they are assigned one of the authorities that contain a few extra abilities. Getting your hands on witch genes is however not a simple task and proven to be quite difficult.
Return By Death
Just like anywhere else there is also death in this world. Death would mean seeing the white light and never feeling anything again but this is different. This death doesn't take you to the wondrous world called heaven. When you die here you will be reborn again to the same you as a few hours ago. You'll be send back to the place you were at on 10 am in the morning if it isn't a special occasion ordered by GM-chan.
Death still feels like death don't get me wrong but the pain and wounds will go away after you are reborn. Your body is the same as it was at that time. Your mind stays the same still so you do have recollections of what happened before you died.
You might think that NPC's would be shocked to see you back alive again but they aren't, NPCs totally forgot that you died, your corpse has disappeared within a minute. NPCs don't remember anything that you have said to them between the time that you were set to a respawn point and the time that you died. Others like you do remember though, they saw your corpse but didn't see it being cleaned up or anything, it was just gone out of nowhere. They know you died.
When you are reborn you might think that people would see you just pop up out of nowhere, instead they say things like you have been standing there doing nothing for the past few minutes. Things you have moved around before you died still are at that spot you moved them too.
When you die you might not notice much difference but you feel a faint feeling of weakness. The gear that you wore when they died feels heavier. Spells feel harder to cast and you will feel weaker in general. Only after having battled beasts or other creatures for some time the feeling will go away and they feel like you're your usual self again.
Killing NPCs is no big deal, they die like regular people. But simply trying to kill a boss or the like surrounded by others will not work so well. If you die after having killed any NPCs by your own hands in the last 10 minutes the NPCs in those 10 minutes will get back to live again.
RBD Status effects
RBD sounds like something anyone could dream of, but those dreams won't be so sweet anymore. With each death, the person’s sanity drops, giving them the debuff “insanity”. During the day, it might not be all too noticeable, however within a creepy place or a pitch dark room, perhaps even in a forest, your thoughts may, or in extreme dosages of “insanity”, will go, well, insane. They get afraid or have bad dreams and the likes, so how more you die the worse it gets. Unfortunately for you Mabeasts sense insanity from miles away. If you died a lot you can expect to find Mabeasts right up your alley.
A character may reduce their insanity counter by doing certain tasks. The first is to eliminate something containing the witch's miasma.
Things like Mabeasts or cultist members are prime targets for this, and are weighted based on their strength. Something like the Three Great Mabeasts or Archbishops will grant an instant reduction of "insanity" to a value of 0, but weaker Mabeasts or regular cultist members might only refresh a single counter after killing several of them.
The second method would be to kill an NPC or PC character. Killing any PC character will reduce ones own "insanity" counter by one and, since the other died, increase their insanity counter by one. NPCs also reduce your counter by one, but at the cost of killing an NPC, since they cannot come back to life unless under certain circumstances.
The third method is to find a spiritual healer similar to Ferris-chan, but doesn't necessarily need to be on the same level. Characters like Ferris who have the ability to mend Gates with their magic can also reduce the affect of "insanity", and in time eventually reduce the counter to zero, but unfortunately this costs both money and time. Less skilled healers may also restore sanity to a character, but would take much longer.
The final method is to achieve certain goals or trigger certain events within the roleplay, such as defeating a "boss" or finding something that restores sanity. However, the latter part is a bit dangerous, as there can also be certain things that reduce sanity, as knowledge no mortal should know is littered around. the Kingdom of Lugnica...
