@Kho

Why isn't your sister in the RP? She would give Termi a run for their money.

Also, @Dawnscroll

Is it possible that a Realta will stop by Alefpria to try and destroy it? Or is Logos waiting to visit himself?

@poog the pig Definitely depends on your actions. If you want the Realta to attack there, simply write it... I literally cannot write for all 3333 of these bastards. The idea is you guys kinda 'respond' to a general invasion as these guys are attacking everything and everywhere. Its certainly possible one of two Sculptors made there way into Alefpria, ergo, there would be Realta present.

Do enough to garner Logos's attention however... and he may personally see what is destroying his children.

@Lugubrious Although this has been an assumption of mine since the start of the RP, I still want to ask just to clear this out. The animals you have on Slough's CS are not the only animals existing on Galbar, right? I mean, normal Earth-like animals exist as well, right?

I didn't get this mention for some reason. Anyway, that is the case. At the very beginning there were only the specific creatures that Slough made, but aside from her extraordinary creatures, ordinary ones appeared as well. A little down the line and you could already expect to find analogs of pretty much all Earth-like animals on Galbar, and by now it's absolutely not a question. In my most recent posts I specifically mentioned that more species and subspecies now existed than could possibly be cataloged.

Since Slough created the process of evolution (as part of my first post in the RP) and put it into practice day one, you can rely on there having been a great deal of it on Galbar. She is directly responsible for the existence of natural life and all the principles that surround it--that is her number-one contribution to the universe.

On another note, I assume that the Realta are genociding all of Slough's creations on Galbar as part of their great purge? That might be a problem.

@Lugubrious Not quite. They don't have anything against Galbar itself. But if they find anything of Jvans, Sculptors, shrines and the like... they glass it with plasma. Then they proceed to glass the surrounding few miles juuuuust to make sure they got it all.

Doesn't matter if it's a city, a forest, or a desert. They find Jvanic stuff, even as something as small as a lpve letter from Vestec to Jvan, the whole is gonna get glassed.

Also also, do the Realta have names? Personalities?

@poog the pig No names, no personalities. They do not speak, nor feel. Their exterior shells may have more feminine or masculine shapes though, and every Realta has a different appearance, number of wings, styles or types of features, and may even have a shell of different material. They are all solely unique unto themselves. Read the character tab on them for more info.

The only Realta who has a name, a personality, or even more of a free will is Elysium. A Realta with a shell of sand-turned-flesh that Logos made.

@Dawnscroll, how quickly will the Acalya flower/forests spread enough to become a problem? Hours? Days? Weeks? Years?

@BBeast@Antarctic Termite He's right.

To an extent. It's all about dosage. If you enter or get close to one of those forests and you take a deep breath full of the air heavy with spores, you ain't leaving. Mostly because your lungs will be shredded from the microscopic crystal spores. But your body will be converted within a day. If you make some slight contact, or minimal exposure... it could take months or years to succumb. It would start at your extremeties, and then the crystal would slowly spread throughout your body...

Plants are a diffirent story. Plants that come into contact with the spores take a few weeks to fully convert, see the above for flora for how this process to occur, and it would then produce its own spores and infect everything else around it. Within two months you could turn an entire forest into crystal from one shrub, and starting the process over in a dozen spots hundreds of miles away.

well shiiiiieeeet

@Dawnscroll How easy is it for Acalya to infect things that are made of organic materials (hair) but lack organs or a bloodstream? Fiberlings will be 'attacking' infected sites en masse due to their sense of ecological balance, and although there's not much they can actually do to halt the spores or uproot the crystal, it's useful to see how much of their population will survive until Jgirl can respond. For that matter, how 'magic' is the process- Can flesh-and-blood entities with a strong enough immune system or protective skin resist it?

Also let me know via PM if you do feel like collabing Jvan's response. Might not be a long talk, but she'll want to know Logos' motivations.

You know, I just realised that Toun already has something on the ground that is going to be a great help against Logos' invasion for a number of reasons.

I mean, this situation does seem to call for an unbreathing armoured brute that is covered in a particularly heat resistant material and attacks aberrant life on sight.

Though, he perhaps should've given them wings.

On that note, hey [@artistfolkonthisRP], what kind of bribes persuasion would you guys like to draw a white giant?

Gimme an hour or so, though I'm no Frettzo or Poog.

To clarify, that's 45 minutes to finish my homework and 15 to do a scribble.

@Muttonhawk Actually, this is based more off of real life inhalation of diamond dust amd a mix of Naussica of the Wind. But yeah.

@Antarctic Termite Actually, based on the Fibrelings unique system, they wouldn't be effected by the spores at all. They might get their asses handed to them by the Acalyian Sentinels though; the wildlife and creature's that have been turned into crystals.

Basically, Galbar is gonna wind up being solely diamonds and hair people.

I'm gonna argue higher resistance. They could certainly be exposed to higher doses before quickly succumbing, or survive an entire life with the Acalyian corruption before succumbing from the small doses. If the magic was powerful enough, one could even heal such a blight. All in all, 3 Might has been invested thus far into this puppy.

And totally want to Collab but this weekend isn't great for me.

@Muttonhawk Question; resistant against plasma or just fire? And what do you define as Abberant?

I really need to get things going so I can properly join this event.

You do realize that Ilunabar is about to get both Flowers and Glass as a domain right? It has been set up like that since Meimu and Notte

@Muttonhawk Question; resistant against plasma or just fire? And what do you define as Abberant?

Well, their shell is essentially well-aligned porcelain, laid on real thick. As for plasma, it depends on what kind of plasma you're talking about. I assume you're talking about nitrogen/oxygen plasma coming out in a straight stream from a realta's arm or something, seeing as that's what Galbar's atmosphere is probably made from. If you, say, scaled up an oxy-acetyline torch as an analogue for temperature, that'd take at least a few minutes to do damage to a slab of porcelain. It's probably not going to do enough damage to a white giant to disable it before it closes the distance on land. That said, plasma jets retain their energy a lot better in space than in air.

Of course, I think it was implied on the realta character sheet that their plasma jets can work as a jetpack, so I don't know how much difference it makes. As well, more physics-minded people probably have a better idea on how the realta plasma affects clay than I do.

As for aberrant, that's just the word I used on the spot here. On the white giant character sheet, it says that any lifeform that wasn't created with Slough's or Toun's power involved is a target for them.

Rovaick? That's a clobberin'. (Those marked by Sularn's vow excepted).
Ashlings? That's a clobberin'.
Fibrelings? That's a clobberin'.

Elementals disguise themselves as forces of nature and mess with the giant's senses, so they aren't detected. Contrivances have been made for other life forms as well. Something as big, hot, and angry as a realta, however? Oh, you better believe that's a clobberin'.
