@PolyphemusI was also thinking that Miles and Maren have a sorta...relationship(not like...romantic)? Like their parents go to the same yatch club or whatever. So they get drug to the same parties and such and there being so few kids have had almost no choice but to hang out with each other or be bored to death by snooty adult. Maren's family wouldn't be as rich as his, but both of her parents are doctors and upper middle class. They'd be new money, but I also don't know how big a wealthy peer circle would be in a town like this....

^Exactly. I could also see his family kinda looking down on her family in general because they don't come from money and it kinda shows, but also there aren't many other prospects so " They'll do" socially. And Maren sees them as stuck up, but people she has come to accept as people she has to be around.

I feel like that would come across in their relationship a bit. Buttttt we shall see

They aren't that sort of doctors (although I can imagine Miles not knowing that at first and trying the pill thing) her mother is into marine animal adaptations and how to apply their genetics to cure human diseases (more on the research than the development side) and her father is .... Something else, probably power based (nuclear/electric and mostly does consulting, basically works from home to raise Maren)

So basicly my character is a Rogue with an area ability... LOVE IT! Will be very hard for him to go through with all his 'the people close to him slowly die at the cost of him', but that makes me even love it more!

Questions though: 1 say Sam wants to leech Ellion's character through physical contact, but she is very hot (literally ofcourse), can he leech her without burning himself? (like by leeching her fireproof skin and such as well?)
Question 2: can he physicly leech through his clothes or must it be skin to skin?

EDIT: Been thinking for a power for OUR GREAT AND POWERFUL GM Gisk, and thought of this:

Time Stopper: She can stop time at certain moments. This means that either herself or everything around her doesn't move

The Catch: When trying to protect someone else, time stops around her. However, when trying to hurt someone else, time stops for her, meaning she just stands still and becomes a big target. This lasts untill she is hit by something. (no matter the force of impact. This means something like a leaf falling on top of her is enough to make her move again, but so is a bullet) If she has frozen time around her because she wants to protect someone and then changed her mind and wants to hurt someone, her time will stop and time around her will start flowing again. (just so there isn't a paradox of time being stopped for everyone.)

Not sure about this idea though because we already have a time related power.

Askin the real questions here! Love it, because I've actually already thought about how your powers interact with each other.

So, the area effect isn't really that strong, unless he consciously amps it up. It's more like, a party that he's at would die down around midnight instead of going all night, but they could always drink some coffee(or do some coke) to get back into it. The more people there are, the less each person has leeched from them.

1) There would be a moment between touching and getting powers where he didn't have her heat resistance yet, so he'd get burned initially but then he would stop burning.

2) Skin to skin.

So yeah, I think you all can post openers(even start interacting if you like). I usually like to post first, but I'm going into DC today, so I don't want to keep you guys waiting while you're excited to get started.

The setting is basically 9PM, early summer, when The Lights™ return. You'll feel light headed for a second, and then your powers are active.

@Gisk You said that Maren's is effected by basically awake/cardio. Would her flames act up if something got her heart racing for one reason or another? Or only during the day and at night it doesn't really have an effect?

Well, she doesn't not have powers at night, it's just that her own body heat is at its lowest. But it doesn't actually go back to normal unless she's asleep.


But yeah, let's say it's also attached to her heart rate. I hadn't originally meant for it to be like that, but I think it works well.

Well if her power would act up for her heart racing for one reason, it would have to for another.

But we'll just leave it as already described. Based on her wake/sleep cycles instead.

He's taking energy, not strength. So a good analogue for this would be the same power applied to either a scrawny dude or a power lifter. They could both be really winded, but the power lifter is still gonna be a lot stronger.
