A droid? That was the first time someone had asked her a such an odd question. Quite clearly, she did not display all of the tell tale signs of an android. She also doubted an artificial intelligence would be put in charge of foreign affairs. She could be wrong however, much to her surprise. It was not too often that she ended up wrong about something.

She realized he was still waiting for a response to his question. "I'm a human," she replied. "Sorry, but most of the sentient extraterrestrial species we have made contact with have not been as amiable as you. I had assumed you were some form of slave till you proved you could speak our language. And you speak it quite fluently might I add. I am quite impressed."
They were approaching the mess hall entrance (which I don't have a picture of so I'll try my best to make up something that makes sense). "Through these doors is where we will be having our talk. I hope it is up to your standards." She explains while typing in the code for the doors.

Within the room is a large circular table, filled with a plethora of earthly goods ready to be devoured. Cake, lobster, roasted grunt- I mean pig with an apple placed in its mouth. A very deformed pig... above the table is a banner with the words welcome aliens with happy birthday crossed out under it. There are also streamers on the floor for some reason.

Savaymin looks across the room very slowly, and then shakes her head in dissapointment.

"It seems they have forgotten the balloons."

Wrenu Tipolan

Wrenu, with his tendrils lagging in the air directly behind him, simply followed along quietly, leaving the masters to deal with the enormous political situation this had presented itself. Their ship, their technology and every aspect told him that this ship was entirely new. Maybe from a new sector of space? He had no idea, but he was very excited to find out. He did however, keep it to himself as they all walked along through the corridors, his natural force sensitivity feeling out to sense the emotions of the others in the group, and to a lesser extent, on the ship around them. Curiosity was the main factor he got back, but from their guide...arrogance. A hint anyway, he couldn't full read her as they stepped into their destination. He regarded the scene with a quirked brow before he slowly headed for the pastry in the middle...looked to be a cake. He wondered if it would taste like one too as he move to get ready to eat into it, if he was allowed to that is.

Jedi Master Greggory Wick

Master Wick followed along, allowing Bumdoa to speak with the lead soldier, who identified as human. It would seem that all of the crew on this vessel were human, Greggory mused to himself.
The group stepped into the mess-hall, and Greggory was hard pressed to contain his grin. Before he could do anything however the Master's Padawan jolted ahead towards some form of cake, but hesitated. "I am sure it is alright Wrenu, they wouldn't have set food out if they expected you to not eat it." Greggory said with a hint of laughter in his words. He then leaned towards Olu and whispered, "Keep talking with Savaymin, maybe learn something useful before the formal talks begin." Wick would then take a step to the side, before turning to stand next to the far more grizzled looking soldier whom had been following them.

"Not sure we've been properly introduced. I'm Greggory Wick, Jedi Master. Yourself?"

Perelliator away team

Magnus nods affably to the count. "Lead on." The group starts heading in the indicated direction, with the Ghosts and robots moving to flank them in an escort formation. As they walk, Dooku speaks again.
"Your ship and shuttle pose interesting questions. Clearly capable enough vessels of course, however I make note of no repulsorlift technology in the shuttle's design, and a number of the scan readings from your ship...the Perelliator, as I remember...are quite foreign to us."
Magnus nods again. "The same can be said of your ships to us. Though I must say, this ship and the others like it are quite impressive looking. Few starships where we come from can surpass the size of a Behemoth-class like the Perelliator, and none built by the Dominion. And the level of automation I see is similarly unheard of, it seems like nearly the entire crew is robotic."
The group enters a corridor on one side of the bay and continues on, Dooku making his reply.
"This ship is built and crewed by the Trade Federation, their battle droids make up the bulk of its crew and of the armies of the Confederacy of Independent Systems."
"I see. And the remainder of the crew? I'm unfamiliar with the other species I've seen."
"Nemoidians. They run the Trade Federation, one of the corporate groups we've had to obtain support from to lend weight to our movement."
The group turns off through a door to the side and enters a large room with a conference table in the center, with Dooku walking to one end, his droids taking positions on either side of his end of the room.
"Please, sit. I can have some refreshments brought in if you wish."

Joseph remained silent as the group made their way towards the Mess Hall. In that interim time, he'd been trying to place the one who'd identified as a Nautiloid anywhere else during his time in the Human-Covenant War and realize that no, he hadn't. So maybe they really had ended up in a different sector of space. Of course, then Savaymin had to go and insult the man by saying she'd thought he was from a slave race and spoke their language surprisingly well. God damn it, Savaymin. Then they arrived in the mess hall and he turned to the rest of Ra as she made her comments. "Alright, take up standard positions. No one but the admiral comes in after this." The other two members of Ra gave nods and took up positions on either side of the door while Joseph pulled Savaymin aside.

"Can we NOT antagonize the unknowns until we know what the hell is going on? Because I'm sure the admiral would appreciate it as much as I would. Clear?" After getting Savaymin's response, he would take up a position near the kitchen entrance, watching everything happening.

Crimson listened as the count spoke, frowning slightly when he said that the majority of the crew was droids. Will our weapons even damage these things? Every second they were there, he watched the droids move about the duties and patrol the halls and knew that they had no idea what they were even made of. Gauss weapons were powerful, they could tear through another fully armored marine in a suit of CMC-400 power armor with little issue, but if these droids were composed of something that a gauss spike couldn't penetrate...Cinder, get a read of how these droids work from one of the Nemoidians. Might give us something to pass along to Raven if we need leverage later.

Dean Joseph Victoria Harbit

Dean cranes his neck side to side with a mild popping escaping his joints. He did this often enough for it to be considered a daily habit. He stands in the hall, outside the doorway to the right side of the frame. He begins his wait for the admiral to make her way down as for discussion. While the Spartans may feel it their place to make small talk and give tours, Dean remembers his place in all this. He continues to monitor the room however by taking a slightly unnatural pose. Half surveying the hall, half surveying the mess. His right brow raises ever so slightly as the Jedi named 'Wrenu' rushed at the cake. In silence he was assessed and deemed to be the most unlikely security risk from the entire group. This allows Dean to focus on the other Jedi the Spartans that stand near him.
One of the Jedi begin to approach him and his guard is instantly raised. His fingers tighten their grip on the assault rifle and eyes narrow in. Every thing he could try to calculate about the Jedi was running through his head. In his mind, every little feature was being highlighted and labelled.
"Not sure we've been properly introduced. I'm Greggory Wick, Jedi Master. Yourself?"
"Dean. Rank details for crew personnel only." His response was sharp and somewhat misleading. While this wasn't at all the case, Dean just didn't feel like running through his position and giving the Jedi an upper hand in case of a hostage styled situation. "Mind clarifying your position as a 'Jedi Master'? Preferably what weaponry one in your position would use." As usual with new comers, Dean was straight to the point. The concept of them being trusted to leave their weapons on their ship didn't go well with Dean. In his experience, no one's ever willing to leave their weapons behind when encircled by new threats.

Cindra Dubrovnik

Cinder's eyes dart around without moving her head, taking in as much of the foreign ship as she can before they are led into the large room. She decides she gets a distinctly uncomfortable feeling from the old man before them, but she halfway discounts it to her usual discomfort before those in positions of power. She keeps her eyes on him, though, and the droids, and takes a position standing at the admiral's side and a little behind, slightly facing the door.
Cinder, get a read of how these droids work from one of the Nemoidians. Might give us something to pass along to Raven if we need leverage later.
She makes no sign of acknowledgement, but her shoulders slacken a bit as she throws her mind in a net around her. Now that she is closer, Cinder can recognize the differences between the human mind and the mind of these "Neimoidian" creatures. She slips into the thoughts and memories of one, immediately stifling a shudder at the slimy feeling she gets from it and the overwhelming greedy confidence. This...thing...was worse than the inhabitants of some of the slums she had visited.
Shoving unnecessary thoughts aside, Cinder focuses on its memories of the droids.
Her probing reveals far more than she had expected, and she quickly sifts through the creature's mind with interest and bewilderment. She checks a few more aliens, just to be sure.
Shit.
She snaps back into herself, her eyes widening.
They seem to be a common metal, maybe a reinforced aluminum or something, nothing special...but fekking hell, Crim, watch out for the ones with the little metal cylinders! So far it looks like the only person with one here is this Dooku fellow, but for criminey's sake, be careful.
Cinder stops, composes herself, and quickly relays what she found.
I got lucky. The things I checked had seen some action. The cylinders seem to be some form of psi-blade, and can deflect the energy bursts those droids' guns fire. But that's not what worries me. These cylinder-people can jump insanely high, have crazy-fast reflexes, can choke a person without touching them, and heaven knows what else. It doesn't look like they have any equipment to help them do it, and it doesn't look like the psionic abilities I've ever seen either. I don't like this. Looks like some of them don't like others enough to kill them. The blade color seems to vary depending on faction...What in hell have we gotten ourselves into?

Ghost Agent Raven, Perelliator away team

Raven shoots Crimson and Cinder a quick status update via telepathy. ~I'm in their databanks. Lots of data here, but most of it seems irrelevant...logs, mission records...a hell of a lot of corporate-looking data here, these guys must do merc duty in their off time or something. Last combat-related record is marked ten years ago, I'm downloading it. No full specs on the droids, but plenty of second-hand references to them, they seem like mass-produced shock troops. Cheap and plentiful. And very disposable, so either these people have a lot stronger weapons than we do, or we can kill them pretty easily. The bigger ones though...there are references and logs for a few different kinds of droids on here, not all of them in mass quantities. Their navigation records aren't here, I'll have to find whatever passes for their navigation data. Don't worry, I'm downloading everything vaguely useful, but a lot of it is stuff the techs can sift through.~

Jedi Master Greggory Wick

The soldier had tightened his group when Greggory approached, which could be expected. After Dean answered the Jedi's question and then posed one of his own Greggory went to lean opposite the soldier, his back against the wall facing inside the room. "Very well. A Jedi Master is a senior member of the Jedi Order, a peace keeping force that has served the republic for thousands of years. Regarding the weapons of a master, it is much the same as a weapon for someone in any position within the order, the lightsaber. The chosen weapon of the jedi, and a weapon that few others can use competently."

Looking over the room from his own perch, Greggory took a long look at the table of food, his gaze passing over cakes, meats, and other varied dishes. Master Wick would, with the small break between his response to Dean's question and the soldier's reaction, call over to his padawan, "Wrenu, would you get me one of those bread rolls?"

Crimson's brows would have furrowed if he hadn't had appearances to keep up. Woah, Cin, slow down. What do you mean they have psi blades? I haven't felt any kind of psionics the entire time we've been near this Dooku guy, and lets face it, if they're that strong in them, he'd have to be like some kind of beacon. You know, that sounded dumb now that I think about it. Let me see for myself. When Raven sent his report, Crimson nodded mentally, glad to hear some good news. Keep an eye out for a way for us to hijack a few if the need arises. This many droids has to have some kind of central control algorithm or something.

The guests seemed to be enjoying themselves quite well. Eating the food, and even conversing with some of the crew members. It seems her instructions to "throw the guests a party" were a success. They didn't overdo it to the point where it would be considered informal or insulting, which was possibly her only concern. It was about time she greeted her guests personally she thought to herself. But before she could, her leader had decided to not so subtly pull her to the side. "I'll be with you all in a moment." She waived to her guests before turning to Joseph.

"What is it." She asks flatly, unamused by his intrusion.

"Can we NOT antagonize the unknowns until we know what the hell is going on? Because I'm sure the admiral would appreciate it as much as I would. Clear?"

To this she could only roll her eyes, luckily her helmet prevented her squad leader from seeing said expression. "Whatever you say... sir." If it weren't for her guests, she would have no problem showing unprofessionalism to a leader who criticized her judgements. Lucky him, she thought. Teasing him later was definitely going to go on her to do list.

Savaymin approaches Master Greggory who was currently indulging in some friendly conversation with the captain. "Hello there. I assume you are enjoying our hospitality so far?" She places a bread roll in the Jedi's hand for him. "We usually reserve these type of meals for celebrations. If you haven't guessed it yet, our ship isn't really designed for diplomacy." She lifts her hands up to her helmet, taking it off and revealing her true face underneath. Long, purple dyed hair reaches down to the middle of her back. Smooth skin, with the only sign of imperfection being the eyepatch over her left eye. A round face, and teeth with abnormaly long and sharp fangs at the end. Her eyes, or to be more accurate 'eye' seems to be just as predatory as her fangs, featuring a slited pupil in the middle of it. She grinned, knowing that a few people were staring at her.

"I must compliment you." She finally speaks up. "Not many people, even among our kind, are as dignified and well mannered as you are. But then again I live my life alongside a group of rowdy soldiers so what would I know?"

Jedi Master Greggory Wick

No less than a second passed between Master Wick's request for a bread roll and one meeting his hand, but it wasn't his padawan who gave it to him. Greggory looked away from the soldier to see the armored women, Savaymin, take off her helmet and address him.
"It is nothing, I expect that the situation would play out much the same if myself and my colleagues wound up in your space."
Now that Greggory had a good look at her he was doubtful she was fully human, the fangs and eyes would suggest otherwise but the Jedi put no thought in it, he had met stranger beings in the past.

Dean Joseph Victoria Harbit

Dean flicks from the Jedi to the Spartan who called herself Savaymin. Striding up confidently in her armour was something he could respect even if she was a spartan. However, the moment her hands pried that helmet off he remembers why he dislikes her and most Spartans. Those eyes and their flamboyant, unruly behaviour. It almost made him sick. In Dean's mind, humans are only allowed to look one way. Savaymin was an exception to what his standard human was and thus she causes him to tick. She continues talking and Dean's eyes, as usual in her presence, become fixated on her teeth. Those unholy teeth. Dean shakes his head and returns to surveying.

Waiting for the admiral's arrival was a lengthy process but usually she made haste in a high pressure situation. The cogs of his mind begin to turn and a number of questions flow in and out like waves to a beach. As always with thought, he mumbles the questions to himself. He used the polite chatter of the Spartans he so greatly despises as a moment to calculate. "Is she not concerned by this?" the words slip under his breath. Though likely inaudible they were definitely in the air. Dean's eyes scan the area once more. He goes to listen back in on the conversation in time to hear Savaymin's final remark. "Not many people, even among our kind, are as dignified and well mannered as you are. But then again I live my life alongside a group of rowdy soldiers so what would I know?" Many of those rowdy soldiers were members of his security crew and he knew it. He offers a quiet growl before reaching a hand out to the Jedi's shoulder. He gives a light tap and a polite nod. "I do hope you enjoy your time here." He turns to Savaymin and speaks in a less polite tone but does try to keep it formal in the presence of the Jedi ambassadors. "Spartan, I'm heading to the bridge to retrieve the admiral. Please keep an eye on the ambassadors and ensure that their every need is met." His hand moves with speed up to his forehead in a salute and before she can reply he makes his way down the hall.

His boots make loud bangs as he storms his way to the bridge. His respect for the admiral was high but not high enough to justify her avoiding the ambassadors presence. These 'Jedi' were potentially dangerous and pairing them with the Spartans just struck Dean as a bad move. He begins to rehearse his conversation with the admiral on the way over. He waits until he's in the elevator to the next floor before starting however as he doesn't wish to be considered weird. "Pantera Faye, admiral of the UNSC Solar winds, your presence is needed in the mess hall. I am going to accompany your sorry ass down there because I can't trust you to do a damn thing on your own. Jesus Christ it's like you get a kick out of being late and sloppy!" The doors of the lift open and he returns to his march in order to recover the admiral for the meeting.

Pantera Faye

"Shush, Magellan. I know how to get there."

"Hard to believe."

*Click* The Admiral rolled Magellan's circular holo-projector into her palm, before he sassily re-activated himself.

"You're grounded." "I am a construct of Artificial Intelligence. I cannot be-- " "I know what you are."

The two marines escorting the admirals snickered, if not shrugged to his and herself respectively. They gripped their rifles firmly as they approached the mess-hall, clearly eager to interact with their alien new-comers.

"Admiral, it appears Captain Dean is at the bridge."

"Strange. Send a message up to the bridge. Tell him he's late." "Message sent."

Finally, the doors to the messhall fluttered open, and the much awaited for Admiral entered the room, two marines following promptly in formation. All of their eyes first fell on the awfully quiet Nautolan and the hungry Padawan, their eyes flairing in curiosity.

"Hello all! Welcome aboard the Solar Winds. I am Admiral Pantera Faye!" She rose her palm, Magellan standing patiently on the small holoprojector. "This is Magellan, the ship's AI. He will be our mediator for today's discussion."

With an eerie smile, she crouched next to R7, the Nautolan's droid. "Look, Magellan. They have robots, like you. "I am a construct of Artificial Inte--" "Shh."

Standing and leaving the jokes for later, she approached Master Wick, whom was oddly... Human. She unequipped her beret, letting her green-dyed hair fall near her shoulders. "Jedi, you mentioned?~" The admiral inquired, going to shake his hand. Then she wondered, do they even know what handshakes are?

Jedi Master Greggory Wick

Almost immediately after his reply to the Sparten Greggory's shoulder was tapped on, and Dean went to leave, a pity for Greggory was curious about the soldier, though the Spartan's armor was also an interesting thing. Before the Jedi Master could inquire about the armor though a new person entered the room, the admiral.

Greggory watched as Admiral Faye introduced Magellan, who she introduced as an A.I. which was rather curious. It wasn't because he was intelligent of course, but his lack of a physical form was unique. Then the admiral turned her attention to Greggory.
The admiral clearly wasn't an Oni, which meant they probably weren't from nearby, which only brought up more questions, but those could be saved till later, as Pantera put her hand out to shake.
"Indeed, you mentioned a UNSC if I recall?" The Jedi said as his hand met the Admiral's in a solid shake.

Admiral Magnus and Count Dooku/Perelliator Away Team

Magnus briskly slips into a seat opposite Dooku and replies to the refreshment question. "Yes please." Dooku gestures to a chrome-plated droid, who leaves the room...presumably to go get some. Dookue looks back to the Admiral and speaks again. "I suppose my first question should be asking you why you are here. Not many ships come to Geonosis, it's out of the way of most hyperspace lanes...certainly not in the unique manner you have."

Magnus nods. "Our method of travel is a bit uncommon for us as well. I presume you are familiar with wormholes...to put it very simply, we've found ourselves accidentally exploring a wormhole. Though I suspect calling it a wormhole is an inaccuracy, and we are still trying to learn how to return."

Dooku nods thoughtfully. "I will of course do everything I can to help you return to your own space, should you desire. Though such aid may be rather limited soon, the current political situation of our Separatist movement is growing unstable recently. The galaxy is rapidly moving towards war. I can promise more support in exchange for your aid in our side of the escalating conflict, however. We can additionally provide logistical support and resupply as long as it is required."

Magnus looks considerate in turn. "Depending on the length of our stay, such things will be needed. However I can't agree to any such things without further details. We are new to this galaxy, I will of course need to be well informed on the state of affairs."

"Oh naturally. Of course I will provide you with a detailed report on all public information on the galactic state of affairs, and will happily answer any questions you may have on the same. You will not want to agree to anything without being fully informed."

"Indeed. Thank you for understanding."

"In the meantime, I invite you to enjoy our hospitality here. I doubt your ship is equipped to access our holonet, and at any rate I notice that our refreshments have only just now arrived." As Dooku speaks, the silver droid returns and places a number of alien, yet appetizing-looking snack-like things on a tray on the table.

Magnus nods, eyeing the tray with some interest. "Thank you, I shall."

Dooku pulls out a datapad and taps in a few commands, bringing up a few dozen files on the current state of the galaxy, including several articles on the Seperatists and their cause, and a few GNN reports on Senate affairs...among other things...and slides it over to Magnus. A silver protocol droid that came in puts some various snacks and drinks on the table as well. "I'll give you some time to read and be back shortly, should you have any questions." So saying, Dooku and his two large droids exit the room with a swish of his cape, leaving the Terrans with the files and the protocol droid.

Crimson gives the droid a side long look before looking at the Admiral and using their signal to ask permission to report telepathically, not trusting the droid that had stayed behind not to be some kind of spy. He took the time to appraise the area of the ship they were in and frowned, remembering that Dooku had called what was going on here a Separatist movement. By this point, he was certain that they weren't in the Sector anymore, though what happened when they passed through the wormhole, well, that was up in the air. Well, at least we survived it. Hear stories on every ship I'm on about jump accidents that makes ships disappear and never be heard from again until the wreckage is found months later way off course with no survivors. He shook his head. Such stories were to be expected amongst crewman, but the fact that even the officers bought into them was pathetic.

Cindra Dubrovnik

Cinder, responding to her superior's question, replies,
I likened their weapons to the closest thing we have to them. I don't sense any energy either, but they may have found a way to suppress it. Still, maybe they aren't psi blades at all, but something else entirely.
Cinder relaxes slightly when Count Dooku leaves them, but she remains wary of her surroundings as she awaits orders or the relaying of information to the Admiral.
Maybe I'm overthinking it. Maybe it's not a big deal. It still seems sketchy though...
