Actually, having read over the most recent posts, I think I'll let you have the floor. Go forth and ruin everything, o mighty GM.

I could make a post about Vincent touching the map at his father's estate, but I don't think I'd be happy with a post with such little action.

I can assume Vincent touched the map. I can also assume everyone goes through the portal to avoid any more uncertainty and lingering.

However, if anyone would prefer NOT to go into the portal as would be assumed, feel free to do so in your next post. :)

@drewccapp I leave it to you to describe the mansion, and whether there are any stone people in it. Whatever you say goes! ;)

Also, if anyone wants to chime in on where on the hologram map you might find your friends and family, absolutely do so. They'll just appear as pink dots, though, and there's no way of knowing who's who while the power's out.

Alright I have a decent picture in my head... it might take a couple days for me to actually get it written down in a way I like it.

Hi everyone! Stitches here, I had a PM conversation with @Mokley concerning my character concept and whether or not it was allowed, so I'd like to throw Kharees into your motley band of misfits and city-folk. She's been balanced out in terms of skills, and all of her links to the Grit and the outside have been discussed in-depth with clear guidelines so I don't deviate from what the GM has planned for the story. Now it's just a case of getting her introduced to the group!

@drewccapp, I'd really like to ask for your help on this one, since it's your mansion Kharees will be intruding upon. If she had entered prior to the others, then the alarm sigils would've went off, no doubt about that. Following Dud's inquiry on mansions in Periphery, is there any way in that she could've crawled into, like a window or a garbage chute? Similarly, I'd like to know about the staff too - how any servants are in the mansion, would they be spread out evenly amongst the rooms? Are there any robots patrolling the halls? This is going to turn out like a big game of hide and seek, I can feel it. I just don't want to go in on assumptions and then end up going against your perception of the scene.

@Stitches It's quite possible that something happened to break the alarm sigils and Vincent just doesn't know... I think that would be a cool development. It's likely that Kharees would run into the occasional servant as the DeMoore family has enough money to hire a small army of them (probably two dozen). It's a fairly sizable estate with a few buildings: servant's house, main mansion, and an attached guest's housing area. The servants are likely to be fairly spread out throughout the area. His family definitely puts more value on magic than technology being a prideful family of mages, so the only robots would be at the gate entrances just so the family looks more progressive than they really are. Any anti-intrusion sigils would be non-lethal and likely would only knock your character out for around 10-15 minutes and only would work once until they recharge slowly over the day. Only in more protected parts of the mansion like the library or the hidden family vault that Vincent is unaware of would have deadly countermeasures.

That's about all I can think of for information about the household off the top of my head. The rest you guys can come up with :)

A great help for my introduction post, I'm going to crank up the scare-factor in the enormous pitch-black mansion. I'm pretty nervous...hopefully you'll all enjoy RPing with me and interacting with Kharees, she's very much a marmite character; you'll either love it or hate it.
