@Midnight Howl All in all though, I'm not as against owls as I used to be. My brother is an avid owl lover so I have to see them on a daily basis. I'll tolerate an owl, but the second I catch it eating a rat that's the same size as it or turning its head upside down I'm out.

@Midnight Howl Side note though, did you know that The Giver has like 3 books that follow it! One of them being the side of the mother of the baby! I loved that book in 6th grade and never knew about the rest of them until like a couple months ago after I watched the movie.

@arockysmith YES! The only one of them I have read is "Gathering Blue" which I literally accidentally came across in this 'free book' thing at my college. Needless to say I was probably waaaayy too excited, lol. I also like the movie but kinda put it separate from the book as they were pretty different. Still, a great movie all the same.

@Midnight Howl I told my mom that was the only thing I wanted for my birthday, I even put it in her cart already because they have the box set of the books on amazon for cheap. The movie was great if you didn't compare it to the book too much. The idea was the same, but things happened differently. I was super surprised about Taylor Swift being in the movie.

@arockysmith Finally, someone who gets my feels on the movie! It was really good on its own, though, yeah I was shocked when T. Swift was in it. I won't give you any spoilers on the books other than I almost finished the one in a day, I was so excited. :P Once you know that are part of the series in a way, you make connections to which characters you think overlapped. Fun times. I still need to get the last one!
