@Tangletail

I definitely wouldn't mind that, but in-rp you might get a clingy god thinking that you're buddies now, because he doesn't have a lot of friends.

Oh my god i'm thinking of Thu-mmmok being like the one guy who always wants to hang out, and everyone feels bad for him so they don't say no, this is becoming really funny really quickly. "Hey, Yiggzavath, you wanna hang out? we can watch the giant scorpions attack some people, or like, I have monopoly or whatever.."

Also yeah, Del Sombra is probably going to REALLY like the egyptian culture, a giant sphinx statue, and the whole worshiping cats thing.

Del Sombra doesn't mind X3. You might of noticed that the only god she's uncomfortable with is Ha. Her mind is technically everywhere at once, at least in places not sanctioned by bronze.

And maybe death would get some dislike from her. Not because what he does, because his personality makes him as interesting as a deflated chocolate bladder to her.

There's a difference between sadistic and cruel.

But she doesn't need the cat warship to find the egyptian culture interesting. Her own creations might end up finding their ways among them.

She'll find it bizarre for cats to be worshiped and praise outside of their domains. But what will draw her to it is the beautiful works of art made from sandstone, gold, obsidian, ceramic, silks, and more. And the use of makeup among the royalty.

She likes to watch and observe for her past time. Not a whole lot you can do when your human form is depicted to be blind. I guess fighing could be among them. She does disguise herself as a monk.

But yeah, just write up the sphinx species, and add it to your character.

@NachoBachoPacho

I just had a thought that's just hilarious XD. If apparently they do warship cats and it's extended on to Catfolk. What would happen if she's just caught napping out in the desert in her mortal form?

Yup, that's a sky crime. And sky crimes mean you go to cloud jail.

Thu-Mmmok looks pretty cool! He won't be the only God to majorly take a human form.

Speaking of Nnmerra, I want to run this by my fellow players first before I fully incorporate the idea. I would like one of Nnmerra's creations to be mankind. This would incorporate humans and those greatly similar to humans; elves, dwarves, the works. She of course would not hold any responsibility over the humanoid races created by the other Gods or things like vampires.

The story behind it would be that, seeing Gaea for the first time, Nnemerra would be inspired to meticulously form creatures of mesmerizing beauty and power from raw gemstone. She boasted she would populate all of Gaea with them as she showcased them to her brethren and bless them with godly magic. Members of the Pantheon would feel threatened by their potential, however, seeing them as a potential threat to their divine superiority and would destroy the few Nnmerra had made before they could leave the Aether. Devastated, Nnmerra would flee to Gaea and acrimoniously form the first man and woman out of clay, both malformed as to make a mockery of the Gods' image. She would abandon her abhorrent creations, but they would continue to grow and populate the world, in which she would grow more partial to them and eventually introduce the concepts of agriculture and the arts.

(The Gods who destroyed the predecessors as described above would be up to whoever thought it more fitting for their character.)

Nnmerra herself would be birth after the primal Gods but before the kobold race was created.

If it seems a little, for lack of a better term, "OP", or if Dragonmancer already has a definite origin story for mankind, I can make it purely a myth formulated by one of the tribes that worship Nnmerra. I can also cut out the elves & dwarves and make purely humans her creation, in case anyone else would like to claim that.

Seems good to me.

I like the idea of just having the big three as far as typical fantasy races go. Humans, elves, and dwarves. Of course, tis up to karkinos' discretion.

Sweet!

And I'll keep all these guys in mind too!

Does anyone think their God(s) would be most likely to destroy Nnemerra's original creations like I described above?

@Karkinos Beauty doesn't really concern Asivar. However, if they were pacifist then they'd get smashed faster than a Chinese vase by an angry, drunk Russian.

That's 1! I can definitely see Nnmerra having a bone to pick with the ocean God too. He could easily just wash all her rock buddies off the face of Gaea.

@Legion02 Maybe not outright intended to be a peaceful race but they were going to be given godly gifts, similarly to how the hero characters are imbued with magic from whomever they served. Would that push Asivar's buttons?

I'm perusing the Characters tab atm and haven't reached him yet so I wouldn't be able to guess myself :P

Unless she cares about Del Sombra bringing best out of humanity by exposing it's worst, than nope. There was never a concept of right and wrong.

In the past, if there was something you wanted, and you were strong enough to take it, it's yours.

Crime is necessary for both economy and civilization X3. Civilization was formed as a contract to surrender rights, to protect their well being and possessions from those that were strong enough to take it. Without crime Civilization would never be a concept.

Crime is also a way to heavily stimulate economy, (thieve guilds would be incredibly interested in keeping the economy in a state of balance, or better. Not let it fall to the point where the city would fall apart.), and survival for those whom have had luck fail them.

Love, Order, Preservation; hatred, discourse, and ruin are pretty much necessary for life to flow the way it is.

Heck, can't hate death too much either XD. Without fear, you wouldn't have civilizations become so prosperous.

Really, she should be more like, "Just try and kill them"

because the gods forces humans to adapt.
