Feisty, adventurous, and full of boundless energy, Rosa is only capable of staying still for so long and must almost always be moving or doing something. She hates to sit around and wait, often getting annoyed when people make her wait for longer than a few minutes and rashly leaving if they hold her up too long. Despite this, she is hardly ever serious, preferring to joke around with others and playfully dragging them on her ‘adventures’. Taking risks and getting into trouble is almost a fact of life when around Rosa.

Though having accepted the opportunity with Professor Apple, Rosa actually has no confidence in herself as a trainer. Her only reaction with pokemon were hanging around them in their natural setting and she had never even thought to become a trainer in the first place. She has never even actually watched a pokemon battle, though two of her brothers have become trainers themselves, and doesn’t know what she’d do in one. Rosa is partly afraid of her inexperience in battles and also of injuring her own pokemon when she receives it. Whatever happens, Rosa doesn’t want to harm other’s pokemon unless necessary.

Brief Bio: Born in the Orange Islands, Rosa was the only daughter out of five children to pokemon watchers Vincent and Julie Vandrow. Though her parent’s home was on the southern Mandarin Island in the Orange islands, Rosa travelled with her parents all over the archipelago. As such, she is more use to constantly moving about rather than staying in one place, something that sometimes gets her in trouble but often leads her on what she calls ‘adventures’. There were too many tales to tell of how Rosa had wandered off from her brothers or protective mother and ended up playing with a snorlax in a clearing of berries or swimming with a lapras. As she grew up, she never grew out of her adventures and instead started to leave on them more often. Her parents would grow worried as she disappeared nearly every time they went to a new island as Rosa would leave to swim with the mantykes and goldeen, laze on the sand with the slowbro and psyduck, or even climb trees with mankey.

It was only when Rosa disappeared for a near whole day, having gotten lost late in the afternoon after having fallen asleep on a snorlax, that her parents had enough. They, who couldn’t always watch her and wanting her to grow out of her comfort zone, sent her to live with her Aunt in Kalos. Though Rosa never stopped her adventures, she was disappointed at how little she was able to get away from her Aunt and often spent more of her time simply sitting by the beach in Coumarine City and watching the pokemon swim by. She felt as if all the fun things in her life were simply floating by. That is, until she got the mail from Professor Apple. A chance to be a trainer, to have an adventure, and to almost do as she wishes. Rosa wasn’t going to pass up the opportunity and, though her Aunt desperately wanted to say no, her parents had said yes. She got her ticket to Aquacorde city and set off for the beginning of her journey.

Starter Pokemon: Spheal, Female, Nemia


Starter's Personality: Nemia is a feisty and playfully little spheal, more often preferring to play with other pokemon rather than fight seriously. As such, Nemia seems to more often than not being playing when she is in a battle rather than taking the fight seriously. She loves people and will often roll up to them if she likes them and clap for attention.

Misc: Rosa considers herself an artist, spending most of her time on her ‘adventures’ drawing the pokemon she meets as they go about their daily events. As such, she carries a book full of empty pages, a lot of pencils, a sharpeners for when she needs to draw something.
