Do you like loot?
Do you like mechanics with your loot?
Do you like the oppurtunity to boss other characters around and get them punished if they don't do what they say?

Well have I got the roleplay for you! Lost Cards of Broken Paradise is currently recruiting Two characters, one of which must be female.
Lost Cards of Broken Paradise is about a civilisation trying to find it's place in the world - a civilisation thats held together by a strict social caste system in order to survive, a place where children are sent to training schools to become great explorers and combatants. That's what you are - a student of the Spire, an academic hub prized for it's ability to churn out high-quality adventurers who will one day go out into the world and salvage tiny villages from the wilderness. But don't think they're going to sugarcoat it for you, oh no - at the tender age of [INSERT CHARACTER AGE HERE] you are expected to own property, equipped yourself appropriately, earn gold like you've got some sort of "job" or something and gain basic human rights and privileges based purely on how well you do at school.

But that's not all: there are many nuances explained in almost-full in the Main Topic.

Now I know what you're thinking: Gee whizz batman, this RP looks like it's already gotten started. You would be correct! Luckily for you, it is still very early on in the roleplay, and very easy to slip in. Full support will of course be given to all players who dip their toes in the water.

But hey, don't take my word for it, for I am a biased GM! See the mysteries and wonders of Lost Cards presented by the players themselves in Synopsis: The Summary Edition II

Synopsis: The Summary Edition II

In a world, where society is based off a caste system based off of playing cards, which, due to playing cards originally being based off classes, has led to us coming full circle for some reason, shit went down south real fast...

So first everyone was happy in a place called Meltaine or Miltank or whatever, you know, the place with the card based class system. Anyway, everything is too three cool for five school until a magical cloud of shit hitting the fan came known as the Fetid Wind. All the cool people died, some poser who all had the name Jack for some reason tried to be there but they were more of a lukewarm than a cool, so the went crazy. Everyone else said "F this, I'm out" and fled for a better place...

Once the runaways got to the place, they called it Wormwold for some reason, which is kind of a weird name but hey, what you gonna do? Anyway, you play as a student at apocalyptic Hogwarts Spire, a city of students. None of you are too three cool for five school like the old guys who died, obviously sincwe you are in school. You will go on magical adventures using an awesome homebrewed RP system made by the amazing GM Mae (who is just so awesome by the way, really though, absolutely amazing, and very attractive too; And I'm not just mentioning that cause I want to win) as you try and deal with shit once again hitting the fan. Good luck.

It all begins with sunshine and rainbows in the magic land of Meltaine. Life was perfect and everyone was happy. AND it would have stayed that way except for the disease ridden Fetid Wind that corrupted the land. The perfect life everyone had till this event meant that no one was prepared. Meltaine began sinking like the Titanic as the Guardians of the Royal Lines died and the Jacks took control. They're still in control, by the way, as the Broken Jacks. Those wiser than the Jacks who stayed decided to leave, finding Wormwold and making a new home. But they're still corrupted... as are you.

Made by tathgon, Maxwell Rydell of The Peacekeepers, our resident peace-by-force expert.

Long ago the 4 suits lived together in harmony, with the Kings and Queens of the Royal Lines ruling. Then, everything changed when The Fetid Wind attacked. The Kings and Queens died, and only the Jacks, the next most powerful could save them. But when the land of Meltaine needed them most, they became mad.

Some people escaped, 1000 years have passed and the people have discovered a new world. A land that they called Wormwold. Although the students of the Spire are skilled, they have a lot to learn before the strange but familiar dreams stop and they reclaim the beauty that was Meltaine. But I believe, that Kaela of the Hands of Healing, Elemette of the Attendants, Maxwell Rydell of The Peacekeepers, Zephyr Hierro of The Elemental Blades, Tainith of The Judging Scholars, Fitzgerald of the Spinning Cogs, Acron of The Raging Winds, Jarvan Gearshield of The Fierce Forge, Jagred Degray of the Fire Eyes, Allan Banta of The Fortune's Finders, and Balith Benker of the Ticketeers can save the world

@Vongola_Hasayo Greetings potential new RPer in this group. Mae lives in England and it's rather late for her, so in case she's asleep I'd be happy to answer whatever questions you may have. What is it exactly you'd like to know?

Hmm, you know I would also be at least interested to read more into this, doesn't exactly matter that's its already started all it means less is waiting for me, plus I'd have no problems making a female character.

@Damiann47 if you think you'd like it then head on over to the RP and check out the first OOC post. We've got gear, we've got classes, we have a cast of fun characters. And most importantly, we have crazy people like me who should be sleeping but are just really hyped about this RP :D

@duskshine749 I have plenty but it would be easier to ask them as I go. I'll start on a CS and see if I take a liking to the whole thing.

@Vongola_Hasayo I am happy to summarise for you, but I do need players who have read the first two OOC posts, as there is admittedly alot going on!

Meltaine

The mythical land of Meltaine is a place lost to legend. It is said this land was once a peaceful and harmonious paradise, with the Kings and Queens the embodiment of all good in the world. They were also known as the Guardians of the Royal Lines.

A mysterious sickness swept through the kingdom. The Royal Lines grew tired and withered, and the land itself became corrupted with their illness. When they died, the virtues each one held inside them shot up into the sky as a symbol of light, shattering and scattering across the world. The land of Meltaine too was fractured, and the dark corruption infected the hearts of man and earth alike.

The Jacks stepped up to the plate to defend their kingdom from peril, but they were weaker then their royal counterparts and driven mad by the evil. They became known as the Broken Jacks of the Mad Land of Meltaine and ruled over the now evil lands with a madness to suit.

The grusome genocide of Meltaine is never discussed. Some say those who became corrupted still live in that legendary place. Early in the Jack's reign, a band of refugees set off to travel to faraway lands in search of freedom and safety - our ancestors and founders of our kingdom. But their hearts had been left bereft of guidance, and within them the seed of corruption took root. Now, all had the capacity for goodness and for evil in their hearts, and the madness would always be with them.

But it's just a story, right?

Suits and magic

It is imperitive that you read the suits section in full on the OOC.

HEARTS - The Royal Suit, most revered suit of all.
+Emotional Magic, unstable and unreliable. Emotional States effect it. Most powerful magic
+ Dominion over Plants
+ Dominion over Animals
+ The Healing Suit
+ Manipulating Light
+ Emotion-based magic: charming spells or changing emotions of the target

Corruption: rampant, excessive, forcing others into emotional slavery. Brings misery and death.

Spades, The Noble Suit. respected by all.
+Mental Magic, Dependable, varied but less powerful. They are also the Suit of dexterity: thieves, bowmen, ect.
+ Logical, Problem Solving, Memory Recall, Noticing Details
+ Graceful and plenty of finesse
+ Mostly emotionless suit with a focus on mental prowess.
+ Can use pretty much any form of magic and gain 5 spell slots

Corruption: thirst for knowledge, function purely from logic, care only for mental supremacy. Do not respect other suits. Will straight up kill people because it's effective.

Clubs, The Bruiser Suit. low class, considered the brawn of the system.
+ Physical element: Healthiest and Hardiest, the defenders.
+ buffing and shielding, protecting themselves and others from harm
+ working with the four elements (fire, water, earth, air)
+ taming and bonding animals the old fashoined way.
+ Golemancy and Mechanical magic.

Corruption: Violence, war, destruction. Taking things by brute force, a desire to prove oneself the most powerful.

Diamonds, The Beggars. The lowest class, unntouchable, in tune with the spirit world.
+ Spiritual Element: Wisdom, intuition,
+ Ability to manipulate time
+ can see and communicate with spirits
+ can summons spirits, calm and rile them
+ precognition: can see the future
+ retrocognition: read the past of an object or person
+ Dominion over dreams and the sleeping realms
+ Bring others back from the dead

Corruption: Difficult to corrupt: lack of care for fellow man, corrupting the flow of time, necromancy, abusing the spirit world, disconnect from both emotions, mental and physical world. Ability to ignore and bend the very laws of physics

Academic city in which students are rewarded living privaleges for doing well in school.

@Damiann47@Vongola_Hasayo That's the jist! Honestly everyone is like, super friendly so if you want to drop by and ask people how they've been finding the roleplay or for some help, please do.

I'll probably edit this int check to be more useful, but everything is up on the first page of the OOC.

@Mae Thank you, if I do Madame a character it'll probably be a little delayed as I'll be a little busy with other things as well, but I could probably with away here and there.

Also I'm a bit curious, why are you asking for at least one female character anyway?

@Damiann47 There are plot reasons later down the line, i wont be revealing more then that currently as if the previous players didn't drop out there wouldn't have been any attention drawn to it :D

Also only one needs to be female, so if you and @Vongola_Hasayo wanna chat about it, one of you can play a dude if that's what you would prefer.
