Basic Ideals (NOT RULES):
No pace or post requirements, you post when you can and as long as we can understand you, grammar isn't an issue. Dedication to an appropriate degree AKA happiness, health and work comes first, once you tick those boxes, write to your hearts content. Be comfortable with friendly discussion, apposing arguments and criticism, these can help fuel a successful train of creativity.

Structure: Continent/Fantasy/Five Races/Mixed Geography/Historical Events/Hidden Organisation of the surface/Elements of Magic/Creatures.

This is a basic layout as I want to start from the bottom and work up from there in stages. The ideals I listed are similar to expectations, but you should not feel like you are confined to a set of rules, you are part of a team and as such we exert no pressure to produce pages of work, contribution in any form is appreciated. The structure includes sections to cover in general, there will be much more to add in detail as this project moves forward.

If you are interested please let me know, but consider the dedication point I mentioned.

GMT members would be ideal, as posting can be much more interactive and the lull in content is not as prevalent, but all are welcome none the less. (This is only because I myself am in the GMT timezone)

A creative project to make a fantasy setting through brainstorming *cringe*, conversation and role play.

The aim is to have a fantasy world by the projects end, which may never come, depending on how committed we can become :)

So if we are thinking about our project area as a regional equivalent to that of one on earth, we are thinking about Southern Europe or North America? Some mountain ranges and yet flat lands etc.

Multiple biomes will give a greater pallet to work with I think. As for feel and tone I've had mythic fantasy on the mind but I'm cool with whatever. Maybe if we figure out what sorts of stories we wish to tell that will give us a jumping off point.

I think perhaps an overbearing story around magic or nature may be interesting, with seperate chapters for each race and region etc. Obviously there are many stories to tell, but we should start with the title and prologue first

Yanno... we could each start working on little microcosms of culture in different places and then invent ways to connect them.

Culture includes races, which we are yet to settle on. Do we want humans or are we aiming for a more alien(foreign) environment?

Humanoids can get boring quickly. And if we're going to have a nice diversity of biomes, we could have a nice diversity of different races too.
