Name:Aziz Demir
Age:33
Appearance: Aziz is a tall man at 198cm, however, he doesn't result imposing thanks to his rather silent and passive demeanour combined with his lack of bulk and muscle. Apart from his wide shoulders, he is lanky to the point of sometimes looking severely underweight, and, at 80kg., that might not be far from the truth. All of this comes to reinforce his insecure and mistrustful facial expression in showing that he might not be the most reliable of people for confronting danger face to face. This isn't as true as it might appear.
Faction: Templar Knight.
Bio: Aziz was born in Turkey at an date except for the year, one or other conflict resulted in the death of his parents and the creation of yet another orphan... however, the only memento he carries from that time is his name as he was too young to really remember anything. He luckily was adopted by a Caribbean family before he was two years old. He states that his life started from that moment onwards and not before. Often people who learn of his history launch themselves at the chance of showing empathy for that part of his life; empathy he doesn’t share or care for beyond being annoying. As it was mentioned before, the only piece of that past that is important for him is his name.
His childhood wasn’t poor but the limited standard of living experienced by Aziz left him with a deep appreciation of austerity and practicality. Ideologically his new family, the Castillo, were pretty open and practised a syncretic branch of Catholicism which incorporated many elements from traditional beliefs and rituals. His interest was more academic though, in contrast with his four siblings, who followed the example outlined by his parents. This is what led a teenager Aziz into the field of alchemy.
A prodigy in what was considered a dead and demystified field, he managed to create true changes that contradicted some basic principles of chemistry. Intrigued and somewhat afraid, he contacted the local pastor of his small community, Father Juan Rosas. A friend of his told a friend and so on the news came to the ears of an important member of the Templars. He was soon recruited and found his second passion in the field of demonology, both Christian and from other religions.
He has spent these last fifteen years involved in studying over practicing, but contrary to what might be expected, he has some natural talent for fighting. A talent that he has left latent and to rust, only conforming with being average in the battlefield and, on the other hand, a high authority in the deep realms of what was hoped to be mostly mythology.
Time has changed his views from the Caribbean syncretism he was raised with and “depurated” them, making those differences in the theology more of an academic interest than a spiritual one. He is liberal in his faith and others’ because of this monumental change in his view of his creed.
Until this day he has never bothered to know the meaning of his name nor the name of his biological parents.
Personality: Aziz is mistrustful and hard to approach. He is a dedicated person to what he loves or if an intellectual challenge presents itself. However, any aura that he might have had of scholar is broken by his constant nervousness and only apparent need of self-confidence. He is always fidgeting of pacing around the room and if he isn’t doing this he is most likely a million kilometres away in the deep pond of his mind while doing a repetitive activity such as sharpening a sword or axe.
He doesn’t respect authority that isn’t earned and is wary fanaticism, believing that a good believer must be constantly questioning both his faith and motivations.
Weapons: He prefers not to face an enemy in close quarters but if it is inevitable his weapon of choice falls under the category of a large Zweilhänder. Failing that, he carries twin poisoned daggers and a myriad of potions.
Armor:Aziz choice of armour is a light one that hinders his movements as little as possible.
He prefers no horse in specific as he doesn’t ride as often in one as an average Templar.
