Prologue
[The Digital World – Ten Years Ago]A Digimon with a dream. A dream so outrageous that almost none believed it could be done. So he set off alone, seeking others who would sympathize with his cause. As a Child, he could do little. But with his ambition he grew strong, stronger than any would have believed he could be.
His journey took him to the farthest reaches of the Digital World. It was in these places where he found the few who believed in the same dream he had for their world. Though their group was small, they quickly grew in strength. They were one in the same, Digimon with Dreams of a peaceful future, where darkness was but a faint memory.
And so the group traveled far and wide, training, evolving, and defeating darkness wherever it reigned supreme. Eventually, they realized how much time had passed, and looked at themselves from where they had come from. They had grown powerful, now some of the most powerful Digimon in existence. They had confronted each darkness with all their might, and defeated it. Now it was the time to ensure the darkness did not return to their world.
[The Digital World – Five Years Ago]
The Harmonious Ones witnessed the power and prowess of the group. They watched as the Digital World hailed them as heroes, having united the Digital World and destroyed the evil that laid within. So, when the group, who had since become known as the Council of Five, the now leadership of the Digital World, set out on their new quest to prevent the evil from returning, they offered their assistance in a way none of them thought possible.
They offered Alphamon, the head of the council, a look at the multiple Digital Worlds that lay beyond theirs. What he saw seemed bleak. Time and time again, no matter how badly the Digimon fought, evil would always rise up and break their world, forcing it into submission in ways he could barely understand. Only one thing could ever save it… humans, partnered with the Digimon.
With this new information, Alphamon knew what he had to do. He presented a plan to the other council members, Omnimon, Imperialdramon, Gallantmon, and Susanoomon. And they agreed. They would bring Humans to the Digital World in order to help save it. And so began their latest quest to protect their world.
[The Digital World – One Month Ago]
Their plan was nearing success. With the Harmonious One’s assistance, the council created several small devices to be sent into the Human World to seek out worthy humans to protect their world. It seemed as if peace would be ensured for ages to come.
However, one of the council members, Susanoomon, became disillusioned with their plan. He began to believe that Digimon alone could protect their world. The other members agreed with Alphamon, causing a minor split in the council.
Then the unthinkable happened. Susanoomon broke off ties with the council, and sparked a Civil War between the Digimon. Surprisingly to the remaining council, the majority of the Digimon believed what they were doing was wrong, and that they could protect their own world. A small minority still believed in Alphamon’s plan, causing a bloody battle to break out.
As their fortress came under attack itself, the council put their plan into motion, knowing now was the time that the Digital World needed it the most. They sent the devices into the human world, and turned to face their former friend Susanoomon in one final battle.
[The Digital World – Present Day]
The war rages on still. Numerous factions have developed. The Digital Army, commanded by Susanoomon, battle against the heavily outnumbered Resistance of Light and Hope, a rag tag group of Digimon who still believe in the council’s plan. There are, however, whispers that an unknown group has been pulling the strings behind this whole thing.
The Council’s Fate is unknown. Some say they were killed, others say they lay imprisoned within the remains of their former fortress, now Susanoomon’s Command Center. The Digital World is now divided, and only one thing can save it now…
Luna Bishop and Dustin Coleman
[Nearby Woods – Colorado, U.S.A.]“Hey! Luna! It’s almost time for dinner! Come on, I give up already!” Yells a boy. He’s walking around in the woods, looking around him and yelling for someone. This is Dustin Coleman, a 12 year old boy living in a foster home run by the Bishop Family. “You don’t get to quit that easily, Dustin, c’mon and find me!” Taunts another voice back. A girl is sitting on a thick tree branch, watching Dustin from above. This is Luna Bishop, a girl the same age as Dustin, and only daughter of the Bishop Family.
She giggles a little as she watches Dustin hopelessly try and track her footprints on the ground. “I’m begging you by this point, come on! I’m starving, please come out!” He says as he slumps down at the base of the tree Luna is settled in. She stealthily creeps along the branch, sliding down the trunk to a lower branch, then hangs down off of it right above his head. “Oh, are you that hungry?” She asks, scaring Dustin half to death.
“Luna! Geez, girl, you could’ve given me a heart attack!” He said, clutching his chest as he regained his senses. “Not my fault you suck at hide and seek!” She said, sticking her tongue out playfully. “So, you said something about dinner?” She asked.
Before Dustin had a chance to answer, the two suddenly notice a bright light in the sky above them. It looked like some kind of tear in a pair of jeans. Suddenly to streaks of light zoomed out of it, like meteorites, and proceeded to crash deeper in the woods.
“What was that? Some kind of space rock or something?” Asked Dustin, looking towards where the objects landed. “Come on, let’s check it out!” He said afterward, rushing towards the location. “Dustin, Wait! Ugh, he never listens…” She said as she took off after him. She quickly caught up to him as he crouched behind a bush. “Shh, look.” He said, pointing towards two craters with light coming out of them.
“What are they…? UFO’s now?” She asked, Dustin breaking cover to step forward and investigate. What he found were two strange devices, each at the center of the craters, and each without a scratch on them. “Cell Phones?” He asked, sliding down into the foot deep crater and reaching to pick one up. “Dustin wait! They could be dangerous, weapons, who knows!” She said, but the words of wisdom fell upon deaf ears. He picked the device at his feet up. It had been pure white at first, but upon touching it, parts of it were now a cyan blue.
“I don’t know… but it changed color…” He said, Luna now very curious and reaching to grab the other one herself. Upon her touching it, the same parts that had changed color on the device Dustin held changed to purple on the one she now held. “This is so weird… I wonder who these belong to…” Said Luna, before suddenly being blinded by the light being emitted from the device. Dustin looked over as the same thing happened to him. Then everything went black.
The spots where Luna and Dustin once stood were now empty. The two children had simply vanished from the face of the earth.
