That is from our main RP, and the center of our community. There have been dozens of members in the past, though at present there are five very strong members who have been at it for years pretty steadily.

We started out in the Sporum (spore forums), where Gorgenmast, on of ours, made the first "Precipice of War" RP, which is set in a world where the first world war lasted ten years and the United States didn't get involved and failed to become an international power. The RP itself picks up fifty years later, in 1970, and is centered around large sets of characters, with emphasis on the political and military leaders of Communist China, the Imperial Family of Ethiopia and its enemies and allies, and the economic and political powers in Spain.

We moved to the Minecraft Forums due to a major change of rules in the Sporum RP forums, where we picked up Pepper and a bunch of other people. There, we ended up writing so much that the RP has eclipsed virtually all major novel series in word length. It is a nations RP, but the emphasis is on characters, so it is more then just tanks and people passing laws. We've had cocaine addicted leaders of the free world, overthrown monarchs who went into hiding in jazz bands, cross-dressing warlords, and gentle Chinese dictators who only left their office to have a stroke.

That is not our only RP. Currently we also have a Sci-fi RP about a second wave of colonists being sent to an extraterrestrial world only to find the colonies built by the first world to be abandoned, causing them to be stranded and unprepared. We would be porting that too.

It's not just "Country A invades Country B". We have another - as of now - successful roleplay that's basically about colonists stranded on a very strange planet.

Nation roleplays is our thing, mainly. But we play and host character-based roleplays too.

Right now we're all waiting for the guy in charge of our biggest RP to decide if he's going to make the move or not. Everyone else seems to like this site a lot, but he's hesitant. It's not easy to drag along our main roleplay. A lot of tweaking needs to be done and whatnot. So yeah, we're waiting.

Our constant badgering should persuade him.

It is understandable to be hesitant to jump an RP onto a new board, especially one as long lived as yours. Just keep reminding him that there is no reason for your people not to be able to just pick up where you've left off.

As has been said previously, the lore associated with this particular RP is gargantuan. On top of that, there are significant portions which are ambiguous, hard-to-follow, or downright ridiculous. (E.g. Northern Florida rebelled and became a military power that invaded much of the Southern U.S. No, I'm not kidding.) This is the nature of any collaborative story. But before we move that RP over here, we would like to smooth out the lore and make it as plausible and accessible as possible.

The only problem is that nobody seems to doing anything to that end.

Googer is the resident weirdo. Don't worry, he doesn't bite. Often.

We all enjoy a good nibble from Googer now and again.

I've smoothed over North America with Aaron, and i've figured out a strategy to smooth over my own questionable moves. Now we need to get it in writing. I'm busiest on the weekends, so I should be able to put some more effort into it later.

In the mean time, what you guys should do is write up some basic overviews on what your nations have been doing. Pepperhugs and Googer should probably also write an overview on what we will be considering cannon in Europe. I know, that is a lot, but imma try to tackle the Americas so don't fret.

What I would like to see is a series of accessible sets of information that allows new members to join without being met with too much crazy. That will require us to drop some things... basically, any nation that hasn't played a major part in the larger story will be wiped clean. I'll find a way to rejig the Americas in such a way that fits the original without being too batshit.

So for Europe, aside from Spain and Germany, things that should definitely go in cannon will be the British Anarchy, Poland being a notable power, and the larger part of what happened in Finland. You guys can figure out what you want to do with France and Italy. Evan, myself, and maybe Veo if we find him can handle the Ottoman lands and the middle east. That should leave me with Africa, and Aaron with the east.

I am a warrior who has come from a far off land. I escaped after a long hard battle where my people were savagely crushed by barbarians wielding weapons of great strength. My people fought bravely, but they were not strong enough to stave off the savage Romans. I fled the country, narrowly escaping with my life. I come to this strange land leaving everything behind that I once held dear.
