Ok real talk here. Should I just stop posting here until the rp starts again? I get next to no feed back on decks, and no one wants to talk about actual dueling. I'm starting to wonder why I even try to get duel discussions up.

I'll discuss cards with you sir but I know next to nothing on the integrity of firefists. Control type decks is my area of preferred play.

Alright then how about the fact that a 50 plus card burning abyss deck toped a recent regional? Triple allure, triple desires, and cherries. Beat ABCs.

Well Cherries literally snipes out extra deck threats aka The format staples.
Allures unbanning was a mistake. BA was never weak and Allure just massively buffed the dark attribute as a whole.

True enough but that means we may see a change in the meta soon. The fact that ABC, arguably the top deck in our current format, was beaten by BA in such a big way multiple times has to mean we'll be seeing an influx of cherries, or BA again. Dante can't escape the ban list forever.

I did a bit more research turns out the deck almost lost. Last round was ABCs vs BA. Dude misplayed and due to Chaos Hunter lost the duel. He could've won if he activated Book of Eclipse to flip the hunters down. Dude played Utopia Prime and lost because of it because of banish.

Or we'll see the relimiting of allure. whichever happens first.

Possibly. But I would see them limiting desires as well. Both of them have been big game changes. Especially desires with decks like shiranui. Mill 10? Lol ok I'll just omega them back into the grave.

True. To be honest I find It a little annoying when the first player, ususally has the much better chance to win due to the fact they have the possibility to combo off first.

But nothing beats ruining your opponents day with a deck that contains 13 trap holes and the will to use them and a sideboard that (now anyways) contains Cherries and the key cards from most meta decks (cough dante) and it works pretty well as an anti meta deck. Sure its not a 100% winrate but that is to be expected.

Honestly sometimes I thick Yugioh is a little rapid for its own good with the new archetypes.

In all honesty it's the card art and the aspects of some of the lesser archetypes that keep me playing yugioh. I hate first turn uncrackable boards. Infinity, Buster Dragon, Majespecter stuns, and toadally awesome along with all their respective bull really makes me personally angry. I WANT to play this game. I don't want to auto lose because you have six and a half traps and recyclable monsters that summon back those traps that all stop me from even trying to do ANYTHING.

Here here. I am in the same boat. but I also run Rafflesia that can basically ruin whatever Summon your attempting. But the deck still dies to destruction spels like raigeki and Dark hole etc. But yea First turn uncrackable boards make me question this game at times. (but I still have a soft spot for first turn Magnus)

Meanwhile I'm just here enjoying old archetypes with new cards, like Ancient Gear.

Unfortunately, the decks I build tend to be one-trick ponies. My Ancient Gear deck is almost entirely focused on summoning Chaos Giant, and has very little in the way of backup plans.

I would say that deck is super super awesome. IF ark or castel didn't exist which is a shame. god dang staples being op.

Suddenly that raises the question of if a trap hole used through raffle is a monster effect or a trap effect. Nevermind. Its a monster effect. Raffle can snipe him too.

I don't play very seriously at all, lately. All I do now is give very bitter and jaded opinions on how awfully designed modern cards are, even moreso than in the past.

Oh, and I have a massive hate-boner for Dragon Rulers.

I could give feedback on decks if I got to see an actual decklist instead of a vague idea of how it operates, because for all I know you could besplashing in that super secret Shapesnatch Cyber Infinity engine without me knowing.

Alright well here's my D-Hero Fusion deck

1x D-Hero Plasma/Dogma
3x D-Hero Malicious
2x D-Hero Drill Guy
1x D-Hero Decision Guy
2x D-Hero Diamond
3x E-Hero Shadowmist
1x D-Hero Fear Monger
1x King of the Swamp
Spells:

1x Fusion Recovery
2x Poly
1x Rota
3x Destiny Draw
2x Allure of Darkness
1x Pot of Avidity
3x Mask Change
2x Form Change
2x Twin Twister
1x Scapegoats

Traps:
1x Solemn Notice
2x Solemn Strike
1x Hero Signal
2x Call of the Haunted
1x Destiny Mirage

Extra Deck:
1x Destiny End Dragoon
2x D-Hero Dystopiaguy
1x Vision Hero Adoration
1x Utopia/Lighting/Prime
3x Masked Hero Dark Law
2x Masked Hero Anki
1x Masked Hero Acid
1x Masked Hero Koga
1x D-Hero Deadlyguy

===

I can immediately think of dumping Fear Monger but it's nice for cycling back a D-hero and can be used for any of my D-Hero fusions. I already dumped the 2 dark city for the allures and 1 poly for the avidity pot which isn't normally dead since I malicious and all.

Before anyone says scape goats it's not only a stall card but can be used on my opponent's end phase to bring out Dogma/Plasma for free which is always a big plus. I can possibly get rid of a masked hero for First of the dragons for it as well.

I see two issues with the decklist you gave me right off the bat, without even getting into how it's structured:

Solemn strike and Solemn Notice are the same card.

I count 38 cards. Scratch that, didn't see Diamond. Good number, too.

Furthermore, I don't see a reason why you wouldn't run Allure at 3. Yeah, you've got a lot of cycling and draw already, but more never hurts anyone. The more consistent the deck, the better.

I don't think you need three Dark Law in the extra. You could easily drop one for something like Castel, or if not Dark Law, at least Anki. Anki is good to emergency nope-out, but I don't consider it very good Masked HERO.

Fear monger is just too dang slow to matter, in my opinion. Drop it like a brick.

I'd suggest, unironically, to put one Elemental HERO Absolute zero in the extra deck. You have a water in the form of beastking, and if you open up with beastking, shadowmist, mask change and a poly you could make A.Z., then mask change into Acid and nuke your opponent's field. That's just something I like doing, though.

Destiny Mirage... Eh. I can see why you'd put it in, not my cup of tea though.

...'s about all I can contribute, really.

Because I already run three destiny draw plus diamond dude. I don't need six draw cards in a forty card deck. Allure more over banishes monsters so it's not like it doesn't come without the cost of throwing away shadow mist.

Solemn notice was meant to be warning. There's literally like six solemn cards.

Dark Law is at three because literally ALL my monster mask change into dark law. It's there because it's the easiest monster I can go into. I'll consider throwing in Zero for one instead it just seems really situational as I use king for either Destiny End, or to search poly normally.

I'll look up later what I can replace Fear Monger with. He really isn't doing anything regardless. Decisionguy may only be once per duel, which is retarded by the way, but he at least blocks off any high level monsters from doing anything.

As for mirage at one it actually lets me re-summon monsters that were blown up by something. I can proc Dystopia guy, he gets blown up and returns, and then procs again for a huge amount of burn damage.

We play differently, I guess. I usually take ever little scrap of viable draw I can get, so that's why I'm more in favor of 3x allure, 3x D. Draw and the Pot of Avidity.

I know Dark Law is at three because all monsters change into it, but you're also running Anki as a change target so that doesn't really matter. Also, just because you run threeM. change doesn't mean you need three Dark Law. I'm against putting three of any card in the extra, unless that card is an engine all its own or the very core of the deck you need at all times. Just feel that a generic 4 would be better.

Absolute Zero is the most gimmicky, situational thing, I'll give you that, but the absolute satisfaction you get when pulling it off can't be beat. It can't hurt to put one in, at least.

Decision guy is, indeed, fuckin' stupid.
