@Dynamo Frokane The next time I come across one of them's type of posts, I'll come down off the couch and step up.

But I like smacking around weebs too.

Speaking of weebs.

Boy am I glad that the JoJo fandom spawned the To Be Continued meme but boy do I not like the JoJo fandom really at all.

Ignoring anything beyond the topic of this thread, I actually harbor an intense dislike of the Witcher fandom. Yes I get it that your game is a "well crafted masterpiece" with combat that "you actually have to think about" and a "deep, rich fascinating plot and lore" and proceed to shit on games like Dark Souls and Skyrim.

To me, comparing Skyrim to Witcher is a pointless exercise in futility as its basically trying to compare competitive LOL/DOTA/HOTS to the Adventure Time MOBA (that shit was dope btw). Yes they're similar games but Skyrim is one of those games where you aren't supposed to be constantly challenging yourself with enemies that have some 20 odd attack patterns and abilities; its a game for you to unwind and relax in, get immersed, go get some cool mods and just absolutely rek bandits and wolves in.

In addition, Dark Souls does everything Witcher does with a much less of an obnoxious fanbase for me. Witcher is known as a hard game, Dark Souls is known as the game basically set up to kill you at every turn and you will die (coming from the person who literally managed to die within the first 30 seconds of DS2 by falling off a cliff), plus Fromsoft internally trolls the fuck out of its players like by not actually giving you a tutorial in cutscenes but in gravestones that you can destroy and render unusable. Also, until the day that Witcher has a contest that pays people money for trying to explain the lore, its tag of being a comprensive lore can go and fuck itself since its null and void.

Also, love-hate relationship with FNAF, I find the way it tells its narrative and lore to be super interesting as its never ever just fully stated outright but yet fans have managed to piece together this massive plot and stuff (Dark Souls also has this super interesting narrative style so more points to them). The fanbase of FNAF is basically the Undertale fandom in that its a bunch of screaming, raving children trying to make bad memes only they have a jump scare fetish.

Star wars, if only because fans AUTOMATICALLY ASSUME you like Star Wars. That and you can actually meet these people without trying to, unlike every other fandom where you basically have to seek them out on purpose/have to seek them out specifically on the internet.

While I dislike people who are like "The Witcher 3 is the best shit ever changed my life true RPG" which is all over the place, I dunno if I would call the Souls fanbase less obnoxious. Never have I seen a fanbase that forgets where they came from so hard. Just go to any stream or video where someone's playing for the first time and people will be backseat gaming in the worst way, complaining that the streamer didn't do this, spamming 'git gud' and generally being unable to realize that first time players aren't expected to know how to get this obscure piece of equipment or the best route to get through things in as min/max a way as possible. There's a clear divide between Souls players that gives them this really shitty aura of people acting like they came into Demon's or Dark or whichever the fuck as golden gods who did everything flawlessly.

There's offering helpful tips. And then there's "Do it this way or you're doing it wrong" and the Souls fandom leans more to the latter than they really should. The reputation of Dark Souls precedes it and people that advertise it as "Oh man it's fuckin brutal" are missing the god damn point of the game anyway.

The Witcher 3 is a better game than any given Souls game but the two really shouldn't be compared. It's easy to compare Witcher and Skyrim because those are games in the same genre and that's all people need sometimes. Skyrim is an easy target, especially for rabid Witcher 3 fans, because Skyrim is a deeply flawed game with a lot of problems in its overall design and Witcher 3's problems are less immediately obvious (but are no less there). Honestly half the reason the Witcher 3 fanbase is so annoying is because a good chunk of them are those unironic PCMR types who suck the dick of CDProjektRed but will still pirate their games.

It's six in one hand, half a dozen in the other. I'd sooner park my car in the Souls lot but then the Souls series has had two good games whereas Witcher has just had one and I am a whore for numbers.

Fandoms I like:
  • CLAMP. I have mixed feelings about their works - some of their manga are great, but some are just eh - but the people I met in this fandom are all really civil and respectful to each other.

Fandoms I dislike:
  • Undertale. I get a dictatorship vibe from this fandom so strongly that only made me to avoid this fandom at all costs. I'm really pissed at how fans and players of this game are like (1) forcing people to play if they have yet to play the game, and (2) forcing you to play in a certain order or certain routes because "that's the only right way you can play this game". WTF?
  • Fate/stay night. The game is cool, but the hardcore fans are surprisingly rather stuck up when someone accidentally triggers a debate about the Servants' level. Not helping if you make a comment about how convoluted the franchise has become now.
  • Code Geass. It's a decent anime, but the Lelouch fans are savage.
  • Vocaloid. While everyone around me worships Miku, Rin and Len with ear-bleeding screeches, I'm just in the corner with my three goddesses: Luka, Gumi and IA. Go figure.
  • Percy Jackson. The book series is pretty oh-kay as entertainment and not to take too seriously, which is fine... When it comes to the fanfics and roleplays, I think I'd stick to the books and pretend the fandom didn't exist, at all. Because they are so horrible that stretches my suspension of disbelief beyond disbelief.
  • Marvel/DC. Especially so in my region where they are pretty much animanga haters and call Japanese art bullshit. Excuse me, do you know that the dynamic paneling you see in recent Marvel/DC comics are based on Japanese manga style?
  • Madoka Magica. You call getting her head bitten off 'dark and gritty'? How about me not seeing the logic of how a 12-year-old brat girl whining for 11 episodes straight then suddenly she gained some super-wisdom out of nowhere and becomes a goddess of the universe? Don't get me wrong - it is a decent anime on its own, but the fandom is a different story. Watching it objectively on my own it's cool, but when you get the fans who're trying to brainwash you into worshiping the anime, now that's not cool.

Fandoms I'm mixed about:
  • Harry Potter. I loved the books, and I admit I'm a Potterhead myself; I've even met some nice fans and we become friends... but that doesn't mean I embrace everything about its fandom. One, I don't like the shippers who pretty much snap at everyone else who may not agree with their opinion; two, the fanfic writers and roleplayers who wasted such an expansive world and lore for their petty little angsty or smutty wet dreams.
  • Pokemon. It's my childhood - like, I watched the anime and played the card games - but when Pokemon GO went viral it is really irritating to have people trying to catch a fucking Pidgey on my shoulder in the train. Get a life, seriously.
  • Haikyuu. Don't get me wrong - I really love the animanga, and probably the only sports genre work that genuinely got me so hyped up - but the yaoi fangirls are scary. And I got judged for liking this animanga because I'm a dude reading/watching something that has a 99% male cast. So they think I'm gay. What kind of shitty logic is this???

Heh, I wasn't going to post here, but @tsukune's post has made me decide to ask a question that I've been wondering from the moment I saw this thread open. Are we discussing franchises themselves, or the fandoms specifically? If it's the fandom, then my only comment is that I don't particularly have a lot of respect for any of them.

Most communities in society, regardless of their culture or origin, tend to follow the same basic behaviour patterns; floods and floods of hive-minded and ignorant people who can't think outside of the box, and independent-minded individuals who show real insight and wisdom by questioning the status quo (not that the more common belief is automatically always wrong, but questioning things in order to make them better is one of the things that separates humanity from other forms of life). With that in mind, I tend to stay clear of any sort of community of people who collectively follow a franchise without being able to act like mature adults, and I've never encountered a collective fandom that I believed was universally positive, though I admit I've definitely met some fandoms that are far more negative than others.

If we're talking about franchises we enjoy, I'm not going to waste my time citing everything I like or hate. All I'll say is that I'm pretty much incapable of becoming a "die-hard" fan of anything. I've never found a franchise that can invoke that sort of fanaticism in me, even the ones which I consider myself an adamant supporter of. My own story project is literally the only piece of work that has ever gained that level of devotion and obsession from me.

That said, I second tsukune's comment about disliking the Undertale fandom. I don't know how many times I need to tell these fucking people that the aesthetic of the game doesn't interest me at all before they'll get it through their thick skulls that I don't want to play it. Some of your other comments were worded how I'd have wanted to say them too (though I have less experience with any of the fandoms you mentioned since I mostly keep to myself with what I like and don't look for the community of fans).

@Shoryu Magami Well, I think you can tell that my opinion towards fandoms is actually neither here nor there - more towards a specific group of people than the fandom as a whole, because like you've said within a community you're bound to meet some who are decent, and some are just... annoyingly mindless followers with no life or dreams of their own.

I need to clarify that while I have numerous franchises and titles that I like, I'm definitely nowhere near the obsessive fan level, and I don't defend them without good reasoning or evidence to back up. I have respect for these works simply because they gave me inspirations in my own projects, but it doesn't mean I worship them blindly and don't analyze their worth in an objective manner.

I don't want to hate fandoms - because that would make me hate everybody in this world. But some fandoms just love to put themselves on my hate list. Oh well.

@tsukune
Pretty much exactly how I read it, especially since neither of us is small-minded enough to judge a person based on whether they like one fandom or another. There's just a certain type of fan that's... toxic, I think would be the best term, to the community in general. I have an open hatred for ignorance and superficiality in the first place, so people who really aren't willing to question things or think outside of the box tend to get on my list of annoying people very quickly, whether they be childishly simple-minded fanboys/fangirls or pompous wannabe intellectuals who think they automatically know better due to their book smarts.

I definitely get behind you on the attitude towards how you consider yourself a fan of something. There's a few exceptions, but almost all of the works of fiction I have any sort of respect towards or interest in are largely in that position because I either relate them to my work somehow or they had some sort of inspiration on me; sometimes it's just a bit of nostalgia too. Like I said, there's a few exceptions where I'll watch something seemingly out of place for me just for amusement, but I'm doing that a lot less these days it seems.

Also, yeah, being unable to look at the things you like objectively is one of the problems with fandoms in general, but, oh well, life's a bitch, so what can you do about it? I have the same attitude towards philosophy; if a person doesn't actually learn about a religion or ideology then they have no place having an opinion about it, which is why I thoroughly research everything way of thinking I bring up in my project, even the ones I consider myself a steadfast opponent of, until I understand that side of the story even better than most of its followers do.

I wouldn't say I "hate" anyone, but rather I just don't waste my time with people who don't know how to use their minds. I feel like I care about everyone in the world (I'm sometimes too empathetic for my own good, even if I don't appear it), but I care very little about what most people think honestly. I'm not a part of any fandom, but I don't really see a need get into flame wars with those who are so long as they don't try to push their opinions around on me.

I view fandoms much in the same way I view labels, in that they are used by weak people who want to stand together as a group or stand out as as someone with a unique mind or taste. Regardless of the franchise, the word fandom always makes me think of an unruly crowd filled with unattractive, obsessive people. I am a fan of many things, but I don't belong to any fandoms.

But fandom haters aren't much better. Even when members of a fandom aren't being annoying, they feel they need to be the "voice of truth" and make everyone "open their mind" to all the flaws of said fandom for reasons unknown. I guess they see members of a fandom enjoying themselves, and because they themselves feel miserable, they have to spread misery to make themselves feel better.

I really liked Madoka Magica. Like any show I like, I enjoyed the characters enough that I was able to overlook its flaws. you can tell me how the first nine minutes of elfin lied was more graphic than the third episode of MM, or how stupid the ending was, but that's not going to make me hate the show as a whole. Just shut up and let me enjoy my cartoon.

Hate never made anyone look smart.

In short, I avoid talking about fandoms because both sides lose. You're either an idiot in a fandom or an idiot bashing a fandom. I prefer to just live and let live.

DC movie fans are bad losers, their films suck so they act like babies.

Marvel movie fans are bad winners, their films are great so they act like arrogant dicks.

The comic fans are a lot more chill on both sides.

EDIT: As much as I dislike the obvious shitty fandoms (MLP, Steven Universe, Homestuck, Sonic, Overwatch, Kingdom Hearts) at least the fans stick with the product. 'Flash in the pan' fandoms are the absolute worst, when peeps essentially rush into a fandom only to abandon it after a few months.

I think one of the worst offenders of this is Attack On Titan. Remember when it was a thing? Fans were a couple days and a few episodes in and already shoving and swinging it everywhere and now where are they? Probably jumped ship to SAO or something. I know a few deathnote wagon jumpers who are very similar and its irritating.

A good non anime example is Orange is the new black, first everyone couldnt shut up about it, now no one gives a shit.

To be fair to Attack on Titan though, it's been like three years since season one ended and season two isn't until April of next year so it's not like fans have had a lot of content to consume. I mean there's the manga but psssh who reads the manga anymore. Anime fandoms are weird because it's always a flash in the pan thing. You've got the long running stuff that is always there but then like clockwork some show gets super popular for a season until the next big thing comes along just as people were starting to realize the old show they hyped up was actually kind of shit all along. It's a vicious cycle. Attack on Titan, Sword Art Online, Kill la Kill, Gurren Lagann, Re:Zero, etc.

Orange is the New Black just turned to utter shit after season two so that's probably why people abandoned it. Also because Netflix shows are pretty mediocre across the board anyway and OITNB had the honor of being one of the first. See also: House of Cards.

Fandoms is fucked.

Ahh boo-hoo one series
AOT fans are just not that dedicated. Having one season isnt an excuse to jump ship. Remember the Firefly TV show? One series that ended in 2003 and people STILL unironically call themselves browncoats.

And if we want to talk about animu, while nowhere near as popular, Outlaw Star had one season and still a fanbase that has stuck with it.

80% of AOT fans werent fans at all, it was just the hot new show to talk about, but because of its thin plot and terrible pacing people just didnt want to stick with it.

Most TV shows across the board are mediocre, and even the acclaimed ones like Breaking Bad drop in novelty severely on a second viewing. Only True Detective and maybe the Sopranos could be described as modern classics.

Firefly is so beloved because people think Joss Whedon is good for some reason. But even still there's quite the difference between a shitty cult sci fi show and a shit anime show. Anime fandoms don't really have catchy names as beacons other than people going around calling someone Narutards or whatever; there's no browncoat version of an AoT fan. The Firefly fandom is a fandom built out of a desire for what will never happen and they don't do much other than re-watch the show and continue posting in their small circle. I have no doubt that there's still a community of people that care about AoT for some reason - hell they just released a boring game to give the fans something to do - but the series is in hibernation and anime weebs don't have the same 'single show' mentality. Nor do a lot of western cartoons, really. Just try and find the overlap between MLP fans and like Steven Universe fans and as one shrank in popularity the other did rise.

And even still, people can be fans of something without 'sticking with it'.

DBZ still has fans but DBZ finally has new content and just had to survive on crappy games telling the same stories. Less vocal doesn't mean not there. But while there are probably some AoT fans out there, the name of the weeb game these days is just flash in the pan shows every season.

True Detective though...ehhhhhhhh. One acclaimed season does not a legacy create. Having recently watched Breaking Bad for the first time, that show doesn't even stay consistent in quality throughout. I wouldn't say that television shows across the board are mediocre, but there's a certain...water cooler-ness quality to shows that doesn't always mesh well.

Breaking Bad's appeal is pretty much reliant on it being a very original story. But with the deafining hype it was pretty hard to preserve the originality with every ugly white guy with a shit beard on your facebook screaming 'science bitch' in a cringe unironic tribute video before you got a chance to see it.

I would say that its filler is almost as bad as the walking dead but to make that comparison the walking dead would have to be something that has something other than just pure filler. That show is moronic, dull, poorly acted, and occasionally surreal in the most non-entertaining way possible.

I do think AOT has fans, I just think they make up a small percent of the people who were ejaculating all over the internet about it when it came out. SOA had hype but the fanbase has largely stuck with it even inbwetween the shows/seasons whatever.

Should also mention gundam has a pretty loyal if not squabbling fanbase.

Considering just how badly the concept of labelling has impacted my own life (not getting into it in this thread, no point and off-topic), I'd agree with that. Like I said in an earlier post, not a part of any fandom myself. I just have things I like and things I don't like. I don't particularly give a shit about people's opinions of what I'm into, and I don't feel the need to tell people what I think of theirs so long as they don't try shoving it down my throat.

To be fair, I view critics the exact same way you just described fandom haters (again, I emphasize my point in a previous post that I'm not a fandom hater; I don't associate with them and prefer to just enjoy my thing, I don't particularly care what other people like so long as they don't get in my face about it), since their sole job revolves around bashing something based on their own subjective opinion of it (no matter how much they try to act like they're being objective, an opinion is always that, an opinion, and they shouldn't be telling people what they should or shouldn't like; they should just shut up and let people make their own decisions, if they can anyway).

Honestly though, it's common behaviour for miserable people to try and bring others down instead of build themselves up; that's what bullies are, after all.

As much as I dislike the obvious shitty fandoms (MLP, Steven Universe, Homestuck, Sonic, Overwatch, Kingdom Hearts) at least the fans stick with the product. 'Flash in the pan' fandoms are the absolute worst, when peeps essentially rush into a fandom only to abandon it after a few months.

Pretty much the opposite of this on my end (not opposite opinion of yours; opposite of the people you're describing). If I like something, I'll probably always like it. If I dislike something, I'll probably always dislike it. I've never been so fickle when it comes to the things I enjoy, whether it be the type of media I'm interested in, or other elements of my life. Though, like I've already said in a previous post, I've never truly been a "die-hard" fan of anything, even if there's certainly things I enjoy a lot more than others.

It doesn’t come out of nowhereβ€” the framing of said wisdom does not come out of nowhere and there is development leading up to it for several episodes (a fact of which cumulates in the third film). Honestly here wisdom isn’t that inherently complex if you look at to what the wish entails by her words and what she’s experienced since the first death that has been echoing and chasing her for the entire series up to that point. Madoka as a work of art has a reputation for a very good and important reason but instead of getting into that and having a dialogue about it I want to move on to Madoka’s fanbase. I’ve met Madoka Magica fanatics, and I would agree that on the radical end of it they are probably one of the most obnoxious people that existβ€” but that goes for all fanatics, it’s kind of in the definition of the terminology.

fanatic
: marked by excessive enthusiasm and often intense uncritical devotion.
: a person with an extreme and uncritical enthusiasm or zeal.
: a person whose enthusiasm or zeal for something is extreme or beyond normal limits
: someone who has very strong beliefs that often make them behave in an unreasonable way

Fanatics by the truest form of the word do not live in realityβ€” they are not humble, rational, or perceptive. They are significant elitists that put their idol on public view for agreeance. That’s why I currently do not consider myself words that describe the same thing like β€œotaku”, because it is the language of arrogance. You can be passionate about something and enjoy the artistic expression but you should still be largely understanding of opposing views and be able to look at what you like with as much criticism as the person who is not a β€œbeliever”.

Thus universally fandom as a concept is a insane, delusional, and irrational belief that exists only to worship instead to have discussion.

Everyone likes Top Ten Lists right?

Top Ten Liked Fandoms
10. Longboarders
-I am the last kind of person you'd expect to own a board, but I've found that anyone who rides these is usually very open to cruising with you. It's an awesome means of transportation and you can make some great friends who will happily teach you how to ride and maintain a board.

9. WarHammer 40K
-For as complex as this universe is, the fanbase around this grimdark sci-fi is brilliantly funny and are able to appreciate the ups and downs of their beloved 40K.

8. Metal Heads
-They seem really off-putting at first, but buff muscular dudes with long hair can be your best friend when you need it most. They are really passionate about a misunderstood genre of music, they want to share it with you. Go to a metal concert, breath in the craziness and see how considerate people get in the middle of a moshpit. Seriously, the same guy who barrels into you and throws you to the ground will be the first one to bend down and pick you up.

7. Fans of Classical Music
-While usually reserved for old people, when I find anyone younger than 30 that enjoys this genre I am usually endured to them. You don't need to be a snob to enjoy this kind of ageless music, and people who are fans are all-too-eager to share their favorites.

6. Lore Freaks
-Star Wars, Mass Effect, Elder Scrolls, Game of Thrones, Fallout. Each of these I have immersed myself into the lore, getting to know all the background and stories behind what is popular. Anyone who is a lore junkie can spend days nerding out with you, throwing out ideas and sharing stories. You get to see how dedicated people like this are, just check out The Imperial Library as an example. These guys are all fanatics like me and I love it.

5. Star Wars
-It's massive and it's lovable. The passion of fans, the way they love this single franchise, how creative they get about it. It's all very admirable. The real geeks are the ones I love, the kind of people you can theorize too, crush about Grand Admiral Thrawn.

4. Novels
-This applies to anyone who joins a usually quiet fandom over a novel. Books are good yo, it's awesome to be able to finish a book and find a group of fans who have just endured the same adventure as you did.

3. History Nerds
-This is my main group, the kind of people who are really passionate for history, more than the common subjects you'll find on the History Channel. There are so few good meeting places online for people with this level of interest, but it'a a great, funny community. That moment when you find yourself able to laugh at dank history memes is a treasure.

2. Podcast Fans
-I don't have TV or Netflix, I entertain myself primarily through the use of educational podcasts. This is an excellent medium for media, humor, education, news, and entertainment that is decidedly neglected on the whole. Fans of podcasts are great sharers, always wanting to recommend something to you and fill you in on the really good shows that don't show up in Itune's top 100.

1. Reenactors
-These people are true believers, they spend their money into expensive costumes and dedicate their time all out of a love for history and a strong desire to teach. Next time you see a reenactor, just throw some questions at them, they will love you forever. These guys are so intelligent, so dedicated, It's impossible for me not to admire them.

Top Ten Disliked Fandoms
10. PC Gaming (Glorious PC Master Race)
-We get it, you spent a stupid amount of money on a facy rig, congrats? Now you get to complain about graphics from behind your three screens and your custom-built chair. Please tell me again how insubordinate I am to you because you invested 4,000 dollars into this one machine.

9. Shitty Preteen music (One Direction/Beliebers/I don't even know)
-I dislike jumping on this bandwagon of hate, but this stuff really is terrible. These pop-stars get away with horrible music by directing it at pubescent girls and turn them into raving lunatics. These young girls idolize someone as shitty as Justin Bieber and get frenzied at any sign of dislike.

8. Edge
-You want to make jokes about 911, you want to get attention by acting like a hardass, you act all troubled and moody, you tell me how much worse your depression was than mine.

Grow up.

7. My Little Pony (Bronies)
-This has been beaten to death but still deserves mention. This is not right, stop fooling yourself. You've convinced yourself that obsessing over a show created for small girls is alright. You've ultimately destroyed the intention of the show by hijacking the fandom for yourself and inserting your twisted adult interests into this cartoon. It's sick, it's revolting, and it will never be OK. Look at your family, your father, then look in the mirror. Kindly unfuck yourselves.

6. SWJ/Anti-SJW Crowd
-Step 1: Some uneducated opinion or constructed story about feminism or political correctness is thrown out on social media.
Step 2: Fedoras rally around this obvious attention bait and make a big deal out of nothing.
Step 3: Radical feminists and the PC crowd point to this reaction as solid proof of what they warn against.

And so the cycle continues.... It's stupid on both ends folks. This PC culture is limited to a minority of people, only gaining traction because reactionists make a huge deal out of it and the deranged institution of social media allows for it to spiral out of control. I have never facepalmed so hard as I did when that whole "Gamergate" thing erupted. You see teenage boys attempting to counter arguments against radical feminism and end up looking like legitimate misogynists in the process.

I find it ironic how people get offended at people getting offended about something.

5. 90's Nostalgia (Only '90s kids will get this)
-God this is annoying, especially since it come from 80% of the people I went to school with. Every decade has it's ups and downs, every decade had fads and pop culture. How come millennials think their decade of growth is somehow superior to the literally millions of other decades in human development? All this resurgence in old 90's shit is all just a play at money that getting swallowed up by people like this. I mean, we have fucking Surge in stores again, literally a mountain-dew clone that somehow was idolized to the point of bringing it back. It got worse with the whole Pokemon Go fad, people preaching to me about how this "speaks to their childhood." Shut up. You can enjoy something without making yourself look superior because you were born in the 90's/

4. Weed (Stoners)
-Seeing as my main groups of friends in college were the stoners, this would normally sit at 10 or 9 on this list. However, when my fiance left me because I told her to stop smoking pot after two trips to the hospital, I became significantly less tolerable of this addictive drug. I tried it out a few times despite being in the army, it didn't work until a few years ago, both times I got high my throat swelled up and I felt sick. So maybe I'm biased. But trying to be friends with people who are obsesed with a drug that slows down their thinking and makes them lazy is a task I will not longer put myself through. Our cultural obsession with this crap needs to stop, we need to stop trying to convince ourselves that this poison is a legitimate medicine. Look up actual scientific studies on TCH, discover how little we know about it, get beyond the crappy pro-legalization agendas and see this for yourselves.

3. Anime (Weeboos)
-Allow me to front this with a disclosure that I do enjoy some anime. I've seen a grand total of three full seasons of 2 different shows and parts of other series, but I do not dismiss the fact that Japaneese animation can be spectacular and cover interesting aspects.

With that out of the way, I'd like to call out all of these idiotic white kids who think watching some cartoons somehow allows them to understand the complex culture of Japan. Stop interjecting Japaneese words you learned from an anime into casual conversation, it doesn't make you look cultured.

2. YouTube Personalities
-This is one of the entries on this list where I hate the original content as much as the fan base. Thousands of these shitty channels, reaction, let's play, or any number of crappy, uninspired video concepts that pollute and down out other good original content that's waiting out there. The crap is retarded and it's everywhere, a bunch of idiots subscribing to watch other idiots get paid to sit in front of a camera for 5 minutes and talk in funny voices.

But the fans are the real winners here, mindless little kids who eat up this garbage and allow it all to perpetuate. Each of these YouTube personalities has their own little army of shitbirds that stir up stupid drama, spam shitty memes, and pollute every mention of comment section of good original videos (like older music) with "[Fucknuts] brought me here, lol!"

1. Dr. Who (Whovians)
-These fuckers have earned this #1 spot. I have watched some of the show, my opinion of it is something that is inventive and at some-times, clever. However, with as much of a following, you'd think they'd be able to throw more than 30$ into production for each episode. It's preachy, campy, and the acting is nearly as bad as the writing, yet I still will accept that people like it and leave it there. Unfortunately, the fans of this show have gone out of their way to make me hate it. Literally every time I bring up that "I'm just not a fan," I will either get berated or have 15 episodes shoved in my face and told "you're just not paying attention to how good it is." In the hallowed history of this site, I have gotten into year-long fights about this show, one guy dedicating himself to antagonizing me here simply because I said I disliked it.

I leave you with one last antidote; me and some friends went out to eat. One of my friends brought around his girlfriend, let's just say she wasn't mutually liked by the group. At dinner she started gushing about Dr. Who and I made a passing comment that, "I was never a fan of the show, it always seemed like they could do so much more with the concept." The girlfriend, without breaking her stride said this direct quote; "I wouldn't expect you to understand the show Nick, you did drop out of college after all."

Yeah, fuck whovians.
