@Azure Sea

Heres my bio! Hope its alright.

_______________

Name: Ricel Kayleth

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Species: Human Hunter

Appearance:

Theme:

youtube.com/watch?v=5tlDYJaCO8I

Personality- Hes...not very nice. Although he has isnt evil at all, he loves violent combats and enjoys irritating people for no reason whatsoever. If he has tricked an opponent into attacking their own side, he likes to drop the illusion a split second before he rams the shard into their back, wanting to give them a moment to realize what they had done. Despite this, he has only ever fought Grimm and white fang members, and apart from an unexplained incident with a bully falling down a flight of stairs, he has never been involved in a physical confrontation with another student. In fact, his entire interactions with them mostly involve snarking. He also will never turn his back on an ally needing help, although that may be because he just wants to show off.

Weapon{s}: The Trickster's Shard- A two foot long dagger that Ricel keeps in a sheath on his back. It generally looks like a normal dagger, but the blade is always polished to a completely mirror sheen, even if he has just rammed it through a Grimm's throat. There are also patterns on the hilt that can change every time you look at them. The blade is honed to the point it can slice through metal without too many problems. Although he is not particularly strong, he is incredibly fast. His preferred method of attack is simply slashing his opponents throat.

Semblance: Illusions. With his trickster's shard, he is capable of creating illusions before his opponent's eyes, to trick and mislead them into doing pretty much whatever he likes. He often prefers to make them follow an illusion, only to ram his dagger in their back while they are chasing thin air. Another fun trick is to make one of his target's allies look like an enemy, and vice versa, causing his targets to kill each other.

Weaknesses- However, his illusions can only be created if someone is not concentrating on the area where they come into being. This means that the best way to fight him is to keep your eyes on him at absolutely all times, not looking away and not even blinking, if you can help it. Also, although his illusions can mimic most of the senses, there is always something...off about them. If an opponent concentrates hard, they can figure out what is real and what isn't. Of course, this is tricky, as his blade will be going for your throat if he sees you trying to concentrate. Also, should he make illusionary copies of himself, the blades they are carrying will not be quite as mirrored as the Trickster's shard, making him stand out slightly.

Bio: Ricel's family was composed of hunters for their last six generations, making them one of the more respected families around. Ricel was raised from birth to follow in their footsteps, which unfortunately resulted in him slowly beginning to enjoy fighting and misleading people. The trickster's shard was generally used for stealth, but after his mother was killed by a Beowolf alpha and he inherited the shard, he began to use illusions to directly kill his opponents, tricking them into attacking each other. His father was appalled, and pointed out how cruel he was acting. Ricel simply retorted that if he was going to kill Grimm, he may as well do it in a fun way.

Eventually, his father forbid him from becoming a hunter, believing that if he would eventually start finding other things to kill than Grimms if he became any stronger. Ricel replied with a few choice words, before walking out the door.

He joined the Beacon Academy, and passed the entrance exam with flying colors. He has now devoted every moment of his time to either fighting or learning. He doesn't really want friends, being an antisocial loner.
After the white fang attacked, Ricel took great pleasure in misleading them just as happily as he did with Grimms. He finds it a little harder to kill things that are human shaped, but he is beginning to enjoy hunting more intelligent prey.

@Vulkanup the age at least a year, a dagger is between 4-8 inches if I remember correctly as at 2 feet it becomes a short sword, your semblance is OP/godmode with it's ability to probe and control/modify minds, over all I have other issues but the MAJOR issue is that 1 you got a OP/Godmode semblance and the other is you've openly stated your char is pretty much mentally unstable =/

Wait, it cant control minds, it just shows images. Like showing a member of the white fang as a hunter so the other white fang members will attack them.

He doesn't force anyone to do anything, he just tricks them.

And about the dagger...im not sure. I think there's ones that are at least 12 inches. I can change it to that.

@Vulkanmodifying a mind is still in the control section as you're still controlling their minds even if in a in-direct way

@PatrickDrummerokay one last question how did her family survive long enough for her to grow up if they lived without protection as they lived on their own in a field nowhere near a town/village or one of the kingdom's?

But, isn't that what illusions are? I thought you said they were alright.

Do i need to write another few ways to counter them? Because i can do that.

@Vulkanwhen I think illusions I think mirages or tricking the senses not right out modifying and/or probing the mind doe example making the enemy see a sword length of 3.5 feet when it's really 4 feet that would be tricking their sight but if hit with the hidden part they would know it's longer then they are seeing even if they don't know how long it really is, another is tricking them into thinking they got cut when they actually dodged, they are just tricking a sense but no mind modification is used, you also never responded to my concern of your chars mental instability

@Azure Sea

About the instability thing, fair enough, i can change that.

Im not really sure what to do in the case of the illusions then. Sorry i wasn't that clear when writing it.

So, he cant make something look like something else? Wouldnt that make his ability kind of useless?

Semblance: Illusions. With his trickster's shard, he is capable of concentrating and probing the minds of those he faces. As long as he has his dagger, he is capable of modifying their minds with illusions, to trick and mislead them into doing pretty much whatever he likes. He often prefers to make them follow an illusion, only to ram his dagger in their back while they are chasing thin air. Another fun trick is to make one of his target's allies look like an enemy, and vice versa, causing his targets to kill each other. He finds this hilarious.

the red bold and underline are the parts that's keeping him from being accepted outside of his instability and sadism...well i'm trying to keep such things out of this RP as it's very possible for children and young teens to also read this

Ohhh. So that's what you meant.

Alright, i've changed it a bit. His sadism has become more a Yang-Style love for a fight rather than being psychotic.

And by dark fanfic...how dark?

@Vulkanokay just one last question, what does his weapon have to do with his semblance something that is a reflection of the soul?

@Azure Sea

It is a reflection, but not of the soul. More of the imagination.

Like, you see things by light reflecting/bouncing off objects, and thats how he causes his illusions. The illusions come from his mind, reflect off the mirror, into his opponents eyes. Thats why his powers dont work without the shard.

Does that make sense?

@Vulkan...then it's not really a semblance as a semblance is a reflection of the soul in some way or another =/
