It's a Pirate's Life For Me
Luffy D. Monkey, the legendary leader of the Straw Hate pirates is dead. He, along with the rest of his crew and allies died in the second battle of Marineford. Currently it is unsure as to what the point of the assault was as the world government moved quickly to suppress the information. However, what is known is that the battle had several big impacts on the world. Many of the world's most powerful pirates are gone, either dead, taken into captivity, or merely gone from the radar. The revolutionary army is in tatters thanks to the amount of resources they poured into the second war. However Arguably the biggest was the schism within the marines, creating two new factions entirely different from their predecessors. These are the Old Marines, and the Shielding Marines.
The shielding Marines consist of those Marines, whom angered with whatever happened at the second battle of Marineford left the Navy to form their own group, one designed around the idea that the job of every Marine is to protect the weak and innocent. These this group has severed their formal alliances with the seven warlords and the world government. They will however work with any group or organization that meets their high ethical standards. Their understanding of justice is also a lot more flexible than the old marines.
The Old Marines are more similar to the original navy, but without the softening influence of the more idealistic members. These marines kept their alliances with the warlords and continue to work under the world government. The results of the second Marineford war, have reinvigorated the zealotry the world government and its desire for more control over the everyday lives of the world's citizens.
Hope is not lost. There are still dreamers in the world, hungry for adventure. Where some might see nothing but danger and despair with the increasing conflicts of the world, others see only an opportunity to throw their hat into the ring. The ONe Piece still exist. Its still out there, waiting for the pirate king to take it. This is the story of those dreamers.
Rules
-Spots are limited so first come, first serve.
-No metagaming
-All be nice
-No Metagaming (using of out-of-game information or resources to affect one's in-game decisions)
-No Godmodding (Taking control of another character)
-For the most part Let's try and keep things PG-13. I understand there's going to be some blood and gore but let's not go crazy.
-Due to the limited number of spots as well as my desire to finally see a One Piece RP last, players need to keep active. So, everyone has five days to post. Failing to post in the time limit will result in a character death, and the player's spot in the game to be opened up for someone else to join. Now, I now we're all human and things do come up so if your going to be unable to post in the allotted time so either I or someone else can take control of your character so the story doesn't come to a stand still.
-For now each player is allowed only a single character.
-No speed posting
-GM(Myself) has last say.
-This is a casual rp so I expect everyone's post to be at least a good paragraph, five sentences long.
-Please at least try for something resembling decent grammar. I know nobody's perfect and we all make mistakes, but I shouldn't have to spend ten minutes rereading a single badly written paragraph.
-Since nobody's perfect, and sadly this includes me too, I don't know what the future holds and can't predict every eventuality. So I reserve the right to be able to add any rules, at any point in time.
Would be happy to listen to any feedback regarding these rules, because again, I'm not perfect.
