Personality: Emory has many different aspects to his personality. He is often serious, maintaining a bland and unimpressed expression which can turn into a sharp scowl if faced with something – or someone – he dislikes (Chaos). On the other hand, he has a ready smile for everyone, and a soft spot for children (which means those younger than him).

Unknown to mere acquaintances, he has a humorous side, often displayed in the form of dry or sarcastic comments, especially when around the few people he fully trusts, a list which is currently composed of magic users steadfastly aligned with Balance. Emory only allows himself to be carefree, loud and active when in a place he feels safe, such as his home or the Headquarters. He is relatively caring in that while he doesn’t believe in sugar-coating the truth no matter how harsh it may be, he will break the news gently if that person is close to him, or is in visible distress, close to breaking down.

Emory is extremely practical, and strives to be a man of sound moral principles, and would stand by them no matter what it cost him. He can be stubborn and hard-headed when he believes he is right, and refuses to be convinced otherwise unless the opponent manages to bring sound logic into the argument. He refrains from judging people by first impression alone, and usually reserves his opinion until he knows them better. While he might be a hard person to offend, his temper is a slow simmering fire, not easily coerced to rearing up and retaliate, but the right trigger works like oil on fire, making it explosive and abrupt, but dwindles down quickly. The right trigger? Threatening his young’uns in his presence. The older ones can take care of themselves, but the younger evokes his mama bear instincts to the most primitive level. He will hunt the perpetrators down with extreme prejudice, and will stop at nothing until they are six feet under.

History: A member of an old family of magic users firmly on the side of Balance, Emory had grown up amongst magic for his entire life. His soft spot for those younger than him came from taking care of his younger siblings when his oft-absent parents were away. Even for a magic-user, he was a rather peculiar child, one who found solitude amongst tomes and quiet areas instead of running around in the sunlight and mucking about with other children. While he was not a genius by birth, his wholehearted concentration and great mental control paid off, allowing him to master his element to the finest level. His seriousness came from the need to grow up fast when his grandfather, along with his father, aunt and a handful of their colleagues were slaughtered during the battle to retrieve the Jewel from Dormammu. His mother was heartbroken, and Emory took on some of his late-father's responsibilities, as well as striving to take over his position in M.A.N.A. With his determination and growing strength, Emory slowly rose through the ranks, eventually achieving the position as Lead Assistant.

Personality & slight history: Previously a dark magic user, Heinrich was different from his chaotic friends in that he prefers to keep his 'good' mindset alive alongside his 'bad' mindset, resulting in him having dual personalities, one calm and kind and the other sadistic and ruthless, that he refers to respectively, as "light" and "dark". His "light" side is reserved for his human friends and colleagues when he blends into human society. While this personality is forefront, he goes about under the guise of an everyday salaryman. He is carefree and cheerful, charismatic enough to appear likeable to strangers even with his dead eyes.

His "dark" side, though, is heavily influenced by his the way he utilizes his magic, slowly molded over time and after every enemy life he ends. While his dark side is prevalent, his speech and mannerisms become much more refined. He is still a bit laid back but he is much more sadistic and merciless, taking pleasure in using his ability to kill people in creative and grotesque ways. When he is dark, his powers are linked to his emotions, so the more hatred he feels for the faction of Balance - goody-two-shoes who he feels are denying the world a chance to taste true sin - the more forceful his powers become, but less controlled.

Keeping these dual personalities from bleeding into one another, or having his "light" side destroyed completely by his "dark" side, was at times very difficult. Having both was what made life interesting, after all. However, five years ago, the matter was taken out of his hands when a piece of the Yang shard entered him, feeding upon the hatred in his heart and in turn expanding it far beyond what he normally felt. This resulted in his dark side completely consuming his light, obliterating his humanity and any remaining goodness within, as well as turning him into the monstrosity he is now. Now all he feels is the need to fulfill the wishes of his leader and lead worshipper, and taking joy from slaughter. He still retains his logical, human mind, but now when he is pushed to his limit and his hatred triggers, he goes on a rampage, and the only way to stop him is to either outright kill him or when he has lost sight of/killed his enemies.
