Jae grinned as he walked over to Kwan. He smiled at her, not really minding how strange her iris heterochromia was. He peered into the box and took two peaches. "One for me and one for a friend," he grinned. "Thanks, Kwan. We owe you one," he said before he turned back towards the table their little group had gathered around. He tossed one of the peaches to Kai and then nodded towards Audrianna running after the commander.

"That's her type of guy," he explained to Kai. Once, he had caught Audrianna staring at Cody and after a lot of convincing, he was actually able to make her admit that she was crushing on the man that headed the bunker. He looked towards Kai and shrugged. "That rope idea... On second thought, I think it would bit of an inconvenience. I mean, how long should the rope be? You might end up tripping someone or ending up in knots. I dunno. It just sounds like a hassle. Plus do we have any rope at all?" He looked thoughtful. "Maybe put some lead weights on? Strap them onto your ankles... or maybe your waist... the way scuba divers. I think there are some in our makeshift gym. Of course, that'd probably make it difficult to run..."

He watched Jake as he got himself a peach from the box Kwan was still holding. His eyes tracked the peach as Jake threw it in the air and then blinked when he saw it pass through Jake's hand. "What the...?" Did he see that right or was his eyes playing tricks on him? He figures with all the strange things happening, he probably saw right. But there was really no harm in just asking, right? He was just about to ask Jake about the peach when he sat down and went through the seat. "Well, I suppose this is as good a time as any to welcome you to our little group of freaks. Kai, the anti-gravity, Jae, the dancing bonfire and Jake, the intangible." He chuckled and as always, Jae offered his hand to help the older boy up. "And I always thought this shit only happened in the movies."

Kwan was in her own thoughts when she heard Harley say "Kwan? Do you know of anyone who can butcher a pig? I got one outside we need to get cut up and frozen asap and some of it cooked. I can smell the bacon now."

Kwan was thinking of how to answer her request when Harley walked off so she turned to Jae and said Looks as if I am to help with butchering a pig please keep an eye on the peaches and see that everyone gets at least one and take another for your trouble because I plan on fetching more later today

Then with a smile she zoomed into the kitchen and fetched knives and a clever then headed outside to where the pig was after finding a rope.

She stopped near Harley and Alex and looked at the pig before setting down the blades and said We need a frame to lift it so we can bleed it; back in a moment.

She zoomed off about two miles away and collected three large pieces of lumber in three blistering trips and working in a flurry of motion assembled them into a tripod using a 6 foot length of barbed wire she’d found to bind the top. Then she got some of those outside to help her hoist the body up by it’s rear legs and ran off again to fetch some plastic tubs to serve as collection pans.

What happened after that wasn’t very pretty but soon the animal’s body was swinging it;s head gone and it’s bowels removed as blood dripped into one of the tubs as Kwan waited for the fluids to drain.

Trinity had it rough since they’d opened the bunker; first her Uncle Jack had died in her arms and shortly afterwards she’d nearly died of the same thing and her body had changed as she’d gotten better. She had had a shocking revelation that her body had changed when she woke and it was because her cot had collapsed which was followed by the destruction of everything she touched. She was a beast and felt as if suddenly she was a danger to everyone around her so she had retreated to her room and discovered that she still needed to eat which spoiled her plan of solitude and forced her out and into the cafeteria.

She had to use all the control she could muster to fetch a bowl of soup and a spoon then find a place to stand and eat because she couldn’t trust them to support her weight.

She was alone now that her Uncle had died and she knew that the world beyond these doors was not the one she had left when she had been evacuated into the bunker. Worst of all was the fact that she was now too clumsy to handle her Total Station or any of the other survey equipment she and her uncle had brought inside with them when they came here; last thing any surveyor would give up would be their equipment.

Her uncle had kept up her spirits by telling her how useful they could be with their skills tools in rebuilding the world and she’d actually found something to look forward to till old Jack died and now her curse.

”Oh well I can at least use my strength to bury Uncle Jack better than I did” she said to herself as she set her bowl down as gently as possible and even managed to put her spoon in it without breaking it.

She walked outside and went to where she’d buried her Uncle and was annoyed when she saw that something had already tried to dig him up. Well she could solve that by burying him so deeply that you’d need an excavator with a twenty foot arm.

She had to walk about a mile from the bunker before she found a backhoe half buried in sand and mud with its bucket arm sticking up from the muck by the river. At first she was worried that she didn’t have any tools till she found that her brutal grip gave her all the tools she needed to remove her prize a 1 yard bucket.

While she worked on freeing her prize a gator/croc slipped up on her and she only knew of it’s presence was it came boiling out of the water like a scaled explosion of muscle. She spun kicking it in the face like it was an attacking dog and should have had her leg crushed in its mouth but instead she had sent the creature spinning across the water like it had been in a high speed crash.

Trinity sat there a moment or two looking across the river at the crumpled creature and thinking how it was proof she was a hazard to everyone around her. There were others in the water but they seemed less interested in her after witnessing the spectacular demise of their former friend and now lunch.

Once she had free’d the bucket Trinity headed back to her uncle’s grave and decided to move him to the high ground about 50 yards away. She launched herself into her somber task using all her strength and her backhoe bucket to excavate a hole that grew deep quickly only stopping once she reached a depth of about 15 feet and wide enough to bury a truck in. Then she went and retrieved Uncle Jack brought him to his new resting place and gently laid her old mentor and friend down. She wasn’t finished yet as she went and gathered large stone averaging 300-500 pounds and built a cairn around him and over him before leaping out of the hole for the last time before burying him in the earth.

She then fetched a large piece of Libby shale weighing about a ton and set it as his tombstone using a thick piece of rebar she’d broken off a toppled wall near the river Trinity carved his name, the date of his birth and death then the epitaph

A heavy sigh escaped through the lips of a young man as he adjusted his blue short sleeved shirt. His eyes narrowed with annoyance as he thought to himself. Third time doing this shit and… He heard a guy laughing as he passed him through the corridor of the bunker. It was bad enough that the world he once knew was gone, but to have half of who survived it die from a sickness that gave him the power to turn into a pile of kitty litter was just WRONG. Meeting the guy’s eyes, Lex spoke.

“What’s so funny?” Lex laughed along as he then looked around at a few people in his surroundings. “I think this guy finally got a good look in the mirror!” Lex said to his mock audience. The stranger was initially confused before realizing what Lex was implying. Lex’s victory grin was exchanged with beautifully displayed middle finger, and that is when he felt his work done. He walked away while tucking his hands in his pocket, only to frown. I probably shouldn’t have done that to him. Lex thought to himself as he just walked in no particular direction. He often found himself walking to no apparent destination while pretending the world is what it used to be. Countless people passing by, trying to get the day started or over with. The screeching brakes of driver who did not react fast enough, and the horn of another who is trying their best to safeguard their life and property. The breeze that blows through that can either be your friend or your enemy depending on the season. Lastly, the sky, the beautiful sky filled with pearly white clouds. Lex thought as he found himself right outside of the bunker looking up at how gray and ominous the sky now looked. “My power is to break apart into ash… or dust… Stupidest thing life ever gave me.” Lex said to himself as he decided to hang out where he was to get some “fresh air” or some good conversation.

He had wasted the day trying to accomplish something with his power and get a decent meal in. Like the commander had said before, resources were becoming scarce. He watched people come and go, trying to attain resources. Some left and came back empty handed, while others had not made it back at all. One individual had stuck out more than the rest. It was rare for him to spot a female leaving the bunker and going into the wilds alone. He thought about possibly tagging along until he heard someone make a comment about her to another while she was far away enough not to hear.

“That girl is strong.” He emphasized on the word strong. “You know she can’t even sleep on a cot because she’s so heavy?” The two men were passing, so Lex did not have enough time to hear the entire conversation. He looked out and watched her go off on her own until she was out of sight.

That kind of sucks… But still better than what I can do. Lex thought with a slight grin. Perhaps she’d be his good conversation. If she came back soon enough, he would say something like, “Hey you! Arm wrestling match! Now!”

Ben rubbed his eyes, letting out a groan as he wiped away the tiredness. He'd felt like he'd been sleeping for a year. He went through his usual morning routine, which consisted of him sitting up, stretching his neck and yawning as he did so. Strong arms reached to the sky and his chest swelled as he took in a deep breath, before he leaped up and shook his head. His hair was crazy, as it usually was when he'd been sleeping. He wondered what was happening in the rest of the bunker.

But first, he needed to wake himself up some more. He stretched his legs and arms, up-down, side to side. Suddenly a foot was launched in a snap kick, before he held the position with his leg raised, and then repeated the process with his other leg. "Ok cool." he breathed, and then headed into the hallway, wondering where he was needed. He hadn't really spoken to the gang, preferring to keep to himself mostly. But finally he seemed fully prepared to deal with them, because without each other, there was no survival.

Kwan finished her butchering of the pig then cleaned up and came back outside feeling flush with energy so she ran back to her orchard of peaches and collected about 85 of the furry little delights and eating another 6 while she worked placing them in a huge empty 100 pound onion bag that the cooks in the kitchen had saved. She didn’t stop there as she hung the bag out of reach from the pigs who were already growing relaxed in her presence; she went into the wild garden.

It was still safe from the pigs because in was in what she had heard called cloth or chain link fence that the pigs had tried but not been successful in invading. There she found the remains of all sorts of veggies and collected the ones that were still consumable and used and old coke can to collect the seeds she found. It was while in the fenced garden she found a large homemade wheelbarrow that had two solid rubber like from the back of one of those odd push mowers.

Happy with the simple transport she really went to work and collected enough to feed everyone a nice pork and veggie stew with lovely potatoes; she’d even discovered the garden’s herb box and collected spices. She first emptied the little cart and and got it over the fence then the veggies as the pigs looked on with curiosity one even advancing to see if she could get Kwan to let her eat what she liked and was stunned when then strange silver haired two legged creature seemed to appear beside her and land a searing sting into one of her haunches then appear just as suddenly back beside the rolling foodbox.

Kwan laughed when she picked up the handle of the two wheel cart and then the sow realized she’d had her rear end lightly stabbed by a needle dart (basically a knitting needle like throwing weapon) and bolted away from what was clearly an act of witchcraft. She stopped back by the grove and fetched twice as many peaches as she’d previously intended.

She didn’t run with the cart worried it might not survive and instead pushed it back the 3 miles to the bunker and it was the walk that gave her time to think. And it was while thinking that she concluded that they couldn’t remain under ground because mankind was never meant to live there; at least she knew she wasn’t. They needed homes that were safe from the deadly tornados caused her to recall seeing an odd video online while trying to amuse herself between takes.

In the video a man had been trying to display the benefits of a dome shaped concrete home; he claimed that the structure had less area of drag for the powerful storm to grab and in a strange way it made sense trouble was that they didn’t have the tools necessary to do the job and it was that which made her think of disposable structures. They could build homes external of the bunker to use as their outside living spaces and use local sourced materials. These homes would be close to the bunker so that in case of emergency they still use that hole for refuge.

When Kwan gave Jae one of the peaches and tossed it, Kai tried to catch the peach with his mouth only for the peach to hit his front teeth d'ow! I shouldn't have done that. he said holding his front teeth and listening to Jae speak up as he was now munching on the peach that nearly fell to the floor. He understood where Jae was coming from and he started nodding to what he said. Kai sort of shrugged off Audrianna having the hots for Cody.

About the rope business, Kai spoke Well...we can figure that all out once we get the rope. If there's no rope....I'll free ball it. If I fly to space, lets just hope I have a secondary ability to breath up there too. he said before looking over to Jake to watch some freaky shit going on with his hand going through an object along with his body and honestly, the scene looked like a classic silent comedy film. All he needed was a Charlie Chaplan gimmick and he'd kill it but his abilities looked useful as hell but Kai started getting trippy

Okay....so you're a ghost? He asked Jake That makes 3 of us so far with viewed abilities as long as you're not a ghost. He said to Jake. Wait....I wouldn't mind befriending someone who could easily appear in the ladies bathroom.....but...I'm not gonna be a perv for the time being. he said as he looked back at Jae Hey I like those names! Let's go and fuck with people with our power....what do you guys say? he asked them.

Trinity headed back inside and fetched herself something to wear before heading to the women’s showers where she had to wait a few moments for another woman to walk by that she could ask to help her by turning the shower knobs because she was afraid that she would break the things off the wall and force an unnecessary repair and use of materials. The woman was nice enough to wait for her to grab a quick shower so she could turn off the water as well which made Trinity blush feeling as if her old nickname had returned; Grace.

Her mom had called her that because when she was 10 she seemed to lose any sense of balance for a while as her body developed; a problem that thankfully ended when she was 15. That was what caused her to head back to her bedding which consisted of 5 layers of cardboard, a blanket as a pad, her day bag that she used as a pillow and her old sleeping bag bought from an army surplus store and break down into tears as she silently cried.

“I hate my Life” she whispers as she tries to wipe the tears from her cheeks but feels she’s wasting her time till her eyes stop leaking.

Frustration, anger, sorrow and yes a little fear are the driving causes of her tears and she feels weak because of them. She starts to swing her arm in an overhand arc intending on smashing it into her pitiable bed but quickly stops herself before the damage is done. Wouldn't make her any friends punching a hole in the concrete floor so she restrains herself and angrily wipes the tears from her cheeks and heads back outside looking for something to do.

Day 5 4:30pm
When Cody grabbed her hand, her heart began thudding loudly against her chest and she felt her cheeks burn more. She probably looked like an overripe tomato by now. But she couldn't deny that she didn't like the feel of her hand in his. It was... unbelievable. And the kiss. She needed time to figure it out. But as he led her out into the unforgiving terrain, she figured it was best to push it out of her mind for now. There will be a lot of time to try and puzzle it out later...given that she can actually survive this dangerous trip outside the safe comfort of the bunker.

Cody had yet to go outside for more than piling bodies or burying them. He took in the landscaping and terrain. There was more of a sandy desert to the left and to the right it was more vegetation and there were some trees. He walked to the cliff in front of them and looked out at what once was the home to so many people. He could see the lake that Harley had been refilling. He nodded. They had some stuff working in their favor he thought. He could barely see the orchard that once produced so much fruit. He wondered if it still did.

Looking up and following the cliff edge to a trail that they could walk down Cody asked her. "So tell me about you, who were your people, where did you come from? What makes you happy? and sad?" As he asked her he heard a noise like a rattlesnake and he halted their movement and slowly looked around and saw that it was much closer to Audrianna than he cared for. "Don't move Audri."

"W-well, I don't really know where I came from. I was orphaned at a very young age and well... I've been adopted thrice..." she paused and crossed her arms across her chest, unwilling to remember how difficult her past was. She followed after Cody. "The last family that adopted me were from Florida. So I stayed there for a while. At least until I was old enough to go off on my own." She looked up at Cody when he suddenly warned her not to move. But she had a habit of doing things herself and if there was something that would endanger her life from behind her, then she needed to see what it was. She turned around just in time to see a strange looking snake launch itself at her. By the sound it produced, it was probably a rattle snake. But the asteroid's radiation had mutated it that it was transparent, the only thing visible was the it's bone structure.

Audrianna let out a small scream before she crouched down, her hands raised up to cover her head and face. She expected fangs to sink into her flesh but strangely, no attack came. There was a soft thud as the snake hit the force field she had managed to erect around herself, it's surface glinting momentarily in the afternoon sun.

Cody had watched Audrianna's force field shield her and he let out a sigh of relief. He reached down in front of her and picked up the snake. It bit him on the hand a couple of times and he cut it's head off and he dropped the rest of the snake into the bag he had tied to his belt loop. Seeing the fear on her face he stood back up and pulled her into his arms as soon as the force field went down. He held her to himself, he could feel his heart beating like it might hop out of his chest and run away on him. He watched the bites on his hand turn black and grey, then they healed and went away. What was he thinking bringing her out here? If it had bitten her and he hadn't been there. He didn't want to think what would have happened.

"I should not have brought you out here yet. I need to know more about what's out here first. I'm sorry, I just wanted to spend some time with you." Cody looked down at her and pushed her hair out of her face.

But Audrianna apparently wasn't concerned about her own safety. She grabbed his hand just as he held her close. She looked at the snake bites as they healed over. And when his skin mended itself, she sighed in relief. "You can heal yourself. I'm so glad," she said, running a finger where the bites had been a few seconds ago.

Cody watched her as his hand healed itself. "If you were hurt or sick I could heal you too. However, you would still feel the pain of the injury as it happened. Why didn't you tell me that you could produce a force field?"

Audrianna shrugged. "I-I didn't think it was important and...and...I didn't want to look like a freak. I just found out about it early this morning..." she explained feebly, relief washing over her that she wasn't going crazy after all. She had resigned herself to keeping her ability a secret in the fear that the people in the bunker would cast her out or something.

He looked up and around them again. He saw Harley come out of the direction of the bunker and watched as she rode a wave right over the side of the cliff laughing as she disappeared over the edge. Cody ran to the edge to see if Harley was okay or not. When he looked at Audrianna he smiled and chuckled walking back to her. "That girl is a little unnerving and she leaves mud wherever she goes now."

Just as Cody looked towards Harley, so did Audrianna. Seeing how the other girl apparently had control over water, it made her feel a little more comfortable with her own powers and found herself wondering what Jae and the other could do. She made a mental note to ask them when they got back.

Spontaneously, he grabbed Audrianna in a tight hug and smiled just happy to be outside of the bunker. "I'm just happy to be able to go outside again. Aren't you?"

Audrianna blinked as she was enveloped by a hug. Her cheeks automatically heated up and she began stammering. "I-I'm a-actually s-scared at the outside world... I-I imagine e-everything would be m-mutated like what we see in the movies." She thought of giant venus fly traps, giant bugs, miniature elephants, man eating lizards the size of a high rise building and she shivered.

Cody laughed at her and hugged her tighter. "I promise to do my best to protect you but honestly it looks like you can protect yourself. If you ever did get hurt or sick I'd heal you. Come on, let's go back inside and see if they need help cooking that pig."

Patience. A quality that Lex rarely possessed. The thought of waiting to arm wrestle perhaps the strongest woman in the bunker seemed worth it for the first five minutes. After that, he figured he would see her some other time. I’ll run into her eventually… but at how quickly we’ve been dropping like flies… Shit, reality just had to dawn on me again. Lex thought to himself as he walked from the very outside of the bunker. AWAY from the bunker. Now Lex was not a suicidal man, at least not purposely. He just needed a thrill from time to time. He could remain negative and groan about his shit power or he could find adventure in a brand-new world. New creatures to be discovered, new locations, new hobbies to create, and maybe even new people to meet. He could not accomplish this alone however, but he believed he could. It’s not like there’s any accountability here. I could leave and no one would notice. Really. Like right now. I’m just walking along and watching out for those giant gators everyone talks about. Minding my own business. Ready to start a new adventure. I might even be the founder of something. I’ll call it the Alexander! No, Jackson! Jax! Oh…

“Ajax!” Lex said out loud right in front of a girl he knew of. Her name was Kwan. He only knew her by her appearance and that speed of hers. He stopped in place as he noticed her hauling something, but more so worried that she just heard him scream out the name of cleaning product brand. He looked at her with embarrassment written across his face. His mouth partially opened with a hint of a smile of his face. It was like he wanted to smile, but was still caught off guard. “Hi, nice to meet you. I don’t shout random shit like that normally. Oh, and I’m Lex, seeya around!” Lex said so quickly it was nearly incomprehensible. He smiled by just flashing his teeth before walking off deeper into the wilds. A fake smile was better than none to Lex. I hope she wasn’t thinking I was saying she needed Ajax... She’ll live… and that’s saying something in this world.

Lex continued forward, ready to start his so called adventure to find something new and name it after a cleaning product brand. What could go wrong?

Day Five

"Ha ha. Yeah falling through things is so funny." Jake said as he took Jae's hand. He could admit he saw the humor in what was happening to him, but if it stayed a constant thing that he would fall through everything then it would get old fast. It was interesting the wide range of abilities though that he could tell from this group of three. With the monikers that Jae gave everyone Jake could assume one used fire and the other one could possibly float. Maybe? He'd have to ask about that later.

"No offense Kai but I've seen Spiderman so many times that I can hear Uncle Ben in my head right now. No sneaking into the girls showers for us. Especially if it turns out others have special abilities as well. We got no clue what someone may be able to do." That did get him thinking though. If everyone here had received some 'gift' then they could be like a post-apocalyptic X-Man team. Who would be their Professor Xavier though. There weren't any old bald guys. Well, not since five days ago regretfully.

Thinking to the proposition of Kai's to mess with people could be interesting though. Just how the heck would they do that. Fire was to dangerous, Jake couldn't get a grip on his ability, and what could a floating man do to prank someone. Even if they made fools of themselves it would be a hilarious time, "Interesting Idea, Kai. How to you propose we go about messing with the others? Any plans?"

Jake was fully prepared to hear Kai out until he saw someone walk past the entrance to the cafeteria. He quickly realized it was Trinity, Jack's niece. Jake hadn't spoken to her much but he knew Jack as one of the main optimist's out of everyone in the bunker. Jake had began to look up to the man for being an inspiration to the rest of the people over the past year. Out of all the losses five days ago Jack's was the only one that really hit Jake deeper then just the fact of someone dying since the man reminded him of his father. Jake couldn't even imagine how Trinity must be feeling.

Jake looked to his super powered comrades and said, "Actually, I gotta split. There's something I need to do. Also, Jae I'm just gonna grab a second peach for someone else okay?" He wasn't really asking as evidenced by the fact that he rushed over to the box and grabbed a second peach before waiting for Jae to respond. He quickly rushed out of the cafeteria in the direction he saw Trinity going.

When he caught up with her he asked, "Hey, Trinity, want a peach?" holding up the peach for her to see.

Trinity was passing the cafeteria when Jake walked up saying "Hey, Trinity, want a peach?" he smiled holding up a peach for her to see.

Trinity looked at Jake then the peach and sighed I’d love one but I’m afraid I’d squish it or end up eating the pit said blushing as she remembers chewing the tip of a spoon; lucky she heard the clicking it made and didn’t swallow the shards.

Then she blushed furiously when she came to the only logical solution whose implied intimacy seemed ridiculous but unsurmountable. If she were sick it would have been a simple and innocent thing for someone to feed her but in her current and healthy state such an act could blur the line between friendship and intimate partners. From there her active mind fell into a brief and uncontrolled spiral of what ifs before she got it back under control.

I don’t mean to scare anyone but right about now I just want to punch something and it’s frustrating that I can’t. she said as she turned to look back at the table Jake had come from where Kai sat

So what evil are you and your crew up to? she asked with a smile shifting the subject

Jae settled back down onto his chair as soon as he had helped Jake get up. He bit into his peach and then looked towards Kwan. He nodded. "Sure thing. Good luck with that pig." He would have loved to offer some help but seeing blood was not something he was particularly fond of. "I can help out with the roasting if you guys need fire later on," he called out after her and then turned back to the two men he was chatting with.

He looked at Kai and raised an eyebrow. "Mess around with people? While that sounds terribly tempting, I'm gonna try to act the mature one here and say that it's probably not a good idea. I mean, I don't wanna be a square but I definitely don't wanna end up being a popsicle or I dunno... a punching bag. Jake's right. If we have powers, I'm sure everyone else does too." His thoughts turned towards Audrianna. She was probably the closest friend he had made since a year ago. What could she do? Make kitchenware move? An army of spoon and fork can actually be useful... but then if all the kitchenware were to leave, what would they use to eat? That sounded a little depressing... He shook his head to clear out the silly thoughts and then thought about Robert. He wondered if the younger boy was still out cold. He finished eating his peach and then stood up to take another peach. Guess I should at least save him one before it runs out, he thought and then nodded to Jake's request for another peach.

He turned towards Kai again. "What do you say about putting our abilities to good use? I mean, someone caught a pig. And Kwan brought all these fruit here. Audrianna and the Commander are probably out hunting too. Maybe we should go out and see if we can collect food too. Day Five

Jake didn't really understand what Trinity meant with the peach thing, but he assumed that she probably had some ability as well and it had to do with that. Then she started blushing wildly and Jake really had no clue why. Was she still sick or was it something else? He really couldn't tell.

When Trinity started speaking again he certainly could understand the desire to punch something. With the rest of that comment and her mentioning of squishing the peach Jake was putting two and two together and assuming she may be stronger than would appear. When she decided to change the topic Jake went along so as to not seem rude, "Well, everyone seems to be gaining new abilities so Kai wanted to start pulling pranks on the others. I honestly have no idea how we would do that because my 'ability' seems to just be able to go through things."

After he finished speaking Jake looked back to Trinity and realized she was probably really frustrated. So, he decided to make her an offer, "Come on. Let's go outside and blow off some steam. With how everything's been it probably is a good idea to let some emotion out. What do ya say?" he then motioned towards the exit.

Day 5 6pm

Harley walked into the cafeteria and looked around for Grayson. She was a little worried about him. She had expected him to show up earlier and when he didn't she was worried something had happened. She went to his room and knocked and there was no answer. She pulled a piece of paper out of her pocket and wrote him a note.

Gray, I stopped by to check on you and got no answer. I'm assuming that you are out and about. Please find me and let me know you are alright. I'm worried about you. I'll be in the bunker the rest of the night. Harley

From there she went to her room. She was so exhausted. She had finished filling the lake and had gone over to the orchard and watered the trees really well. She climbed into her bed for a nap. Her eyes were closed before she hit the bed.

Kwan looked at Lex with a smile I know it did sound strange but in light of the present world we find ourselves in I try not to judge was all she got out before he just kept on going.

For a few moments she pondered going off after him and it was the cart that kept her from doing just that.

I hope he hasn’t actually lost his mind; I’d feel bad weighing vegetables against his life she said to herself before leaning once more to her delivery

She stopped within 3 steps and set down the cart once more and Well people over bellies

She moved quickly and was by Lex seconds later You know if you can give me a hand I could tell you what I’ve seen out there

Trinity smiled and said I was headed that way when you called so why not?

She was going to duck out when he first asked but she realized she might need his help if she encountered something delicate or a person needed help that required physical interaction.

I got strong and my body got heavy; I weigh over 400 pounds but I’m not sure how much because the clinic scale has a limit. I’m not sure how much weight I can lift but I don’t need an impact wrench to undo the bolts on a backhoe bucket.

Jake listened to Trinity as she explained to him what her new ability did and the effects of it. "That's gotta suck. The only bad thing about my ability is that I keep falling through things." Jake started to feel worse for the girl. It was obvious she was upset. He hoped he could find some way to help her.

I fall through things too but only because I weigh as much as a cow but I suppose it is so I don't break my own bones just by moving.

At least our forced evolution is balanced by logical adjustments in our physical forms she said with a slight giggle

But at nearly six foot tall I'm used to being heavier than other girls. she added

At least she seemed to be keeping a positive attitude about things. Jake nodded to what she was saying. Once they got outside Jake said, "So, what do you wanna do first? I'm fine with whatever." Jake took a moment to look around. This was his first real look at the outside world after being trapped in the bunker. Five days ago he hadn't taken the time to look around and see how different everything was.

I was going to see about clearing some of the junk around the bunker; sort of because it needs it and also because I need to see how much weight I can actually lift.

Promise not to freak out but I already know I can lift about five-hundred pounds like its an empty tissue box Trinity said as she trotted down towards a large pile of trees that blocked part of the road near their home.

Jake followed her down towards the trees saying, "That actually sounds kinda cool. Your basically like Colossus while I seem to be Shadowcat. Since you can easily get those I guess I should figure out some way I can help."

Jake looked at the large trees and realized he wasn't really any use at this point unless there was something else to his power, but how would he even know if he could do more.

Trinity reached out to grab a tree by a thick limb and was beginning to lift it when her hand crushed the heavy branch like it was rotten. She shifted her grip and lifted the tree which had to weigh at least five tons as if it were a ten pound bag of flour.

I guess I need to be careful even with the trees she smiled as she tossed the thing about 60 feet away and grabbed another.

Kind of makes me worry about giving anyone a hug anytime soon she sighed as she chucked the second tree like she was clearing branches from her yard.

Jake thought that last statement was kinda funny, "Who you planning on hugging?" a slight smirk on his face. Then he realized that since everyone had abilities now they probably would need to train everyone to use and control what they could do.

"You probably just need to practice. Like maybe grab something slowly and see how much pressure you have to apply before it breaks." Jake didn't know if it wold work but it should be worth it to at least try.

Trinity picked up a tree that was long and thin grasping it in the middle and getting an odd idea that made her grin as she adjusted her grip then leaned back before slinging the 3 ton piece of lumber like a giant's spear. It flew for over one hundred yards before crashing into the ground and sending a cloud of dirt and sand flying through the air.

Well that was kind of neat she laughed as the guards near the bunker entrance freaked out a little at the unexpected noise

Jake laughed along with Trinity, "Okay, yeah that was cool. You know what I'm going to try something." Jake walked up to the pile of trees putting his hands on two of them. He was fully intent on walking through them, but instead while he was focusing they ended up slipping into each other causing Jake to stumble forward. He fell directly on top of the two logs which quickly broke into pieces due to being inside each other.

Jake thought he'd get scratched up by the broken logs but soon realized that there wasn't a scratch on him. He stood up looking at the logs to see a slight impression in the area he fell into. His clothes were cut up a little but he wasn't hurt at all. "Uhh, what the heck!"

Trinity inspected the spot he made in the tree then turned to him I guess you changed their density and it was more than they could take. Lucky for us it didn't result in any sudden energy release as two Molecular structures struggled to occupy the same atomic space

She spots an old car that may have belonged to some of the others and been left in the parking space outside the bunker. She grabs the car in two locations and pulls them in different directions ripping the steel like a sheet of Aluminium foil.

I guess we all do have a lot to learn I just hope there is someway for me to control this strength so I can touch people without breaking of killing them or else it will be a lonely life for me

Jake walked over to Trinity putting a hand on her shoulder. "Hey, it's going to be alright. No one will abandon you. Everyone is in this together okay."

"Everything Zen...Everything Zen...I don't think so~" he murmured, singing under his breath as he decided to explore the outer bits of the compound instead of staying cooped up in there all day. The area looked blasted and ruined, but it was still outside, with (relatively) fresh air and a place to stretch his legs.

He hopped up on a broken tree, almost snapped as if some monster had broken it. He stood at the cusp of the wrecked log, and look about for anything interesting to go do. When he saw nothing, he did some air guitar as he hummed the part of the Bush song that lead to a guitar solo.

With that, he took a great leap off the log with his ki enhanced legs and hit the ground, bending his knees to help absorb the impact. He sure hoped no one had been watching his air guitar.

Lex attempt at an adventure seemed to be going fine and dandy until he realized something critical. There were many reasons why the man should not just go off journeying unprepared, but the most important happened to be the fact that the sun was beginning to set. Lex stopped in his tracks and mentally facepalmed himself while shutting his eyes tightly. Idiot!

“At least I didn’t…” Lex paused as his eyes widened from Kwan’s sudden arrival beside him. He slowly turned to Kwan and just listened to what she had to say while trying to keep his composure from how awesome she was. Plus, she now gave Lex a better excuse of turning back than forgetting to bring some sort of light source. Lex smiled at Kwan before speaking. “Alright that works I guess.” Lex tried to sound content, but he was relieved by Kwan’s offer. With one last look at the far reaches of wilds, he turned back toward the direction of the bunker. “I see you got yourself a pretty nice power. Super speed… I’d do almost anything to get that. You like it?” Lex asked as his eyes appeared to examine Kwan. He wanted to observe her body language as she answered his question. For some reason he liked to truly understand how people felt about these new capabilities given to them. Until a few hours ago, he thought super strength would be amazing to have. Maybe each power has a drawback. The better the power, the worse the drawback? That’s too simple though. My power tires me out after several uses and it honestly isn’t that amazing. I’m sure it uses a lot of energy, but god damn does this shit suck!

Lex’s eyes seemed to narrow as he thought negatively about his powers, but luckily he had his eyes forward and not aimed at his company. It was one thing to blurt out words at someone, and another to give looks that could kill a minute afterwards. When he noticed his demeanor, he blinked it away and looked back to Kwan with a smile to show that he was in good spirits.

Day 5 8pm
Harley woke up and realized there was no word on Gray yet so she left her room and decided to go see if the pig was ready to be eaten yet. Harley put on her headphones and mp3 player and hit play. A barrage of loud music assaulted her ears and she headed towards the cafeteria. When she got there she saw a lot of people there. Some were talking amongst themselves and some were practicing powers. She looked around and did not see Gray but she did see Kai and Jae. She headed over to them and hit pause on her mp3 player.

"Hey guys what are you up to? Is the pig done yet? I'm starved!"
