Magic. It was a thing of fairy tales. She lived her whole life believing that it was not real. And she probably could have lived in complete peace without knowing that it had existed. However, seeing as she, along with these other people, stumbled upon a scene that should not have been seen by normal people, she guessed that this was somehow inevitable. Though she highly doubted that it was an innate ability as she was sure that would have activated at some point in her past. And besides, she just couldn't not believe him. From what this Gilfheim did to the frame of the bed, there was already evidence that what Mr. Assistant Leader Emory held some semblance of truth.

Then they were given a choice to either walk away or stay. The former didn't sound like a good idea as something called 'Chaos' would be after them and their whole family. The latter equally didn't seem like a good idea since that would mean she would have to leave her old and normal life. Then again, she could consider it gone the moment she woke up in this infirmary.

"I'll stay then. If anything, to find out and control this 'power' of mine. Whatever it is." She said before looking at the others and then looking back at Emory. "I will help however I can. But may I ask... can you ensure the safety of our loved ones? I would assume that they would know who we are and still go after them correct?" She already lost her father, and she wouldn't want to lose her mother either. A butterfly landed on her shoulder. In a split moment of a rush of emotions, even though it could not be seen in her face, a scene flashed before their eyes, as if the surroundings bled into the certain scene - however, only Arden would be able to see this illusion. It was the scene of the car crash, her mother heavily bleeding and her father had been thrown out of the windshield and into the darkness of the woods.

It was only for a brief moment. Tooru's eyes widened and she knew who had received the memory. Her eyes locked onto the male who had entered. "Did you see that?" She asked.

Fane frowned to himself for several moments before shrugging his shoulders at his orders I suppose I can wait before I start any festivities. The dark magic user bowed,grinning he said "I will find out as much as possible about MANA members and the Nilfheim, annnd hopefully without killing them." As he spoke he placed his knife in his pocket to prove his point.

He now pondered how he could find out more about these individuals, he began to formulate his plan, a silly plan that could fail miserably, but a brilliant one if he got lucky...I'm going to need a piece of cardboard and a sharpie..

Anastasia looked around the halls running as fast as she could. I can't believe I overslept today! Today is very important,she thought to herself. How foolish of me to oversleep when I was supposed to be helping out in the medical bay with new recruits. She looked behind her to see her Bernese Mountain dog Princess following up with her pace. Princess had on her service animal vest allowing her to be off leash at M.A.N.A. and every where else for that matter. Anna has put a lot of time and effort into training her to always be on her best behavior.

As she made it to the "hospital", Anna searched her pockets to make sure she had her saving grace. She pulled out a silver zippo with a bright red Chinese dragon on the front and back. She pushed the door opened trying to catch her breath. "I'm very sorry Mr. Emory. I will be sure to be on time next time. I am assigned to assist you today if need be." She said bowing her head softly hoping she was not in trouble. Princess walked into the room as well looking at everyone in the room. She barked happily at the familiar faces but stayed next to Anna so as to not get in the way. "Hello Kitty and Theo, and you too Atlas." Anna said as she looked around the room. She also waved at all the unfamiliar faces as well starting to get a bit nervous. She had no idea there would be this many people that needed help. She hoped she was up for the task. She had to do what ever it took to prove she deserved a rank promotion.

The sudden images knocked Arden off of his feet. He fell on the floor with a painful whimper as the vision? memories? made no sense to him. He laid awkwardly on the floor before he righted himself up and his eyes caught with the girl his butterfly landed on. She could only be the source of those images/memories, whatever they were. It became clearer that it was indeed hers as she asked Arden a question to which he could only nod to absently.

"Yes, I did." His face took a bewildered look and continued to stare at Tooru. He hadn't known what it really was but he knew it was not his business to pry. "Don't worry, I won't ask or tell anyone about it." Arden nodded to himself and the girl. It really wasn't his business and he'd best keep it that way. He was just a neutral party in this large organization and he knew it was best to keep himself out of anything that would cause him trouble or greater involvement. Not that he wasn't really involved as it appeared to be that he was supposed to be involved this time. He didn't know if getting involved with M.A.N.A.'s business would land him into some deep trouble or not but he could only wait for what was to happen.

After all, it was the leader and assistant who requested for him to be there.

Asikari walked into the MANA Headquaters. She waved to people she walked past, and suddenly tripped. When she got up, she felt angry. Whenever she is angry, she turns to her wolf form. As she transformed, she remembered her anger lessons, and started to cool. She started changing back into human. When she was complete, she got a headache.
-Ugh.. I forget I get headaches when I transform back to human..- She muttered.

the hospitalized children lay on their beds or sat in their chairs, some fell to the ground for reasons unknown. suddenly the ward doors opened and a masked, blue robed man stepped through into the room, he limped and balanced on a peculiar staff.
"Welcome... young men and women of... the parallel realm." the masked man croaked, he said it slowly and painfully, "The world is... not what... it seems..." he continued, "there is no such thing as... magic... you may have... thought this true... but I will be the first to... tell most of you that there is... such thing... as... MAGIC" he said finally, his voice was metallic and full of pain, with every word came an empty feeling. "Emory... I must ask you to continue in... my stead.", he allowed Emory to continue speaking.

Anastasia noticed the leader was in the room and she froze. She had only seen him a few times before since he was very secretive. She held up a hand to wave at him and bowed her head to listen to what he said. She did not want to offend him in any way. Her parents said that he had amazing abilities that would put everyone to shame that came up against him.

Feon looked around the room again at everyone. It was getting rather crowded and she didn't like it. "I would be happy to help you all so long as it is in the name of justice!" Feon said jumping on the bed and pumping her fist in the air, her eyes looked a bit wild as she said this. She was certainly obsessed with this idea, though the reason she was so obsessed at the moment was because she hadn't found anything else to obsess over recently. "Well it's good to know this isn't some weird magical cancer. So when do we get started?" Feon added sitting back down in her bed again.

Cinia turned her attention to wrath and laughed a bit. "I said you couldn't kill them. I should have been more specific though. No killing them upon first encounter. After that your free to kill them in whatever way you wish. Oh your welcome to give them a good enough wound to kill them later on." Cinia gave a wicked smile.

"A few more things too. I have a goal in mind. I want to corrupt one of the Nilfheim. Capture one alive and we will try to corrupt them. Now the reason for not killing them right away, is I want to find their base of operations. Which is all the more reason to capture one. Now are there anymore questions?" Cinia said standing up and putting a hand on the table infront of her while leaning forward.

Kitty had seemed quite unamused for the most part, twirling a lock of her pink hair with an absent look off at the door. Both she and Theo had bowed their heads when the leader entered, but Kitty was the first to open her mouth again, as usual.

"Hey, Emory, do you still need me and the mouse? I heard that there was a 2-Star Daemon near the ferry port downtown. I was going to head there, since everyone else is kinda busy." Truly, Kitty didn't care about fighting. She just wanted to get out of here, it was seriously cramped and nothing fun was happening! At least beating some Daemon senseless had some satisfaction.

Theo shrank as she spoke. "You called me a mouse again... but, why do you need me to help you?"

The pink haired girl turned her bright eyes to the shy boy, seeming confused. "In case the guy goes haywire and smashes my face into the concrete or something, you have to heal me, duh." She explained casually, as the brunette let out an exasperated sigh.

Kitty hopped off the bed she had parked herself on, and was already halfway towards the door dragging the unwilling Theo by his sleeve when she called back. "So, yeah, we'll be back soon."

Waiting for all the chatter to settle down - or at least decrease to a nominal level that didn't require him to raise his voice - Emory pushed the awareness of the new arrivals including that of his Boss' to the back of his mind. He could only focus on so many things at once, after all. Distractions aside, he was glad to note that the teens were thinking things through and were sensible enough to both accept and realise the gravity of their situation. Of course, if any had chosen to return to their civilian life, he would have dispatched magic users to watch over them regardless. There was little need to hand them to Chaos on a silver platter by way of not monitoring their whereabouts. Balance had enough trouble as it is.

"We promise to guard your loved ones to the best of our abilities. It wouldn't be the first time Chaos tried to gain an advantage through unethical means, after all. I cannot say that Chaos definitely know your identities by now - of your existence, most likely, but not exactly who you are. So there will be time yet before they get hold of your true identities and inevitably, that of your family. However, it is during this stretch of time that you will be learning the extent of your element, whatever it may be. You will learn to wield and control those abilities, as well as learn to work with a partner or a team later down the track." He answered Tooru, but at the same time meeting the eyes of everyone else to include them. The magic users would be spread a little thin in protecting their families all and Emory made a mental note to discuss further process with his boss. Maybe move the teen's families to a safe house or a city further away...? But that's for later.

"All right, moving on. Since Miss Gilfheim seems eager to start, let's not waste any more time." Emory pulled another small notebook out of the many pockets hidden in his outfit and flipped through it to the right page. He pursed his lips for a second before coming to a decision. "Looks like Training Area Seven in the West Wing is free, which is good since it is one of the sturdiest, closed-off section we have here. Mr Taika, would you like to bring anyone who is well enough to leave the infirmary there? You are going to be their mentor so it's only logical you help them in discovering their element and controlling it."

"Kitty, Theo, please come back in one piece and without further mishaps." He called out to the pair as they proceeded to leave, then addressed Anastasia. "Miss Martinez, thank you for coming but I currently don't require assistance. Nevertheless, you have two options: assist Mr Taika in mentoring the new magic users or helping Kitty and Theo in their daemon hunt."

While Anastasia thought her options over, he finally turned to Altas. "As for you, Mr Atlas, if you are feeling up for little walk, we can retire to my office for a private conversation." Emory tossed a glance over his shoulder at his Boss. "Of course, if my Boss consents to it, you can talk to him instead."

A gleeful and utterly sadistic grin spread slowly on Wrath's human face, and it was with uncharacteristic control that ensured he did not change form right there and then at Cinia's announcement. Oh this was wonderful. Better than that, even. His superior wanted a Niflem alive but that didn't mean unharmed. Also, capturing one of them would mean Balance magic users would come after them, meaning he would be able to crush more stupid goody-two-shoes! A win-win situation all around! For him, that was.

"No more questions. If that is all, Lead Worshipper, I will take my leave. I'm sure you can find me anytime, just follow the destruction."

With a cackling laugh, Wrath turned and headed for the door, patches of human skin beneath his casual office attire already turning black - smooth and hard not unlike marble - as his self-control slipped in the face of overwhelming thrill.

Tooru nodded at Arden, silently thanking him for keeping what he saw a secret. However, what exactly was that? Perhaps it was her power? THey seemed to have gotten them, like that silver haired girl who now, apparently, has some sort of super strength. If she goes down that path, then what was it exactly? Telepathy? Memory manipulation? Or something else? All she knew was that it had something to do with her the five senses, or at least the mind.

She looked up once someone else entered. A brown haired girl who was regarded as Miss Martinez much later on. Whatever her first name was, was for her to find out later on. Then there was the entrance of a masked man. There was no hint of skin no matter how hard she looked at him. His voice sounded pained and raspy - as if he was injured. This sparked worry to bubble up in the black haired girl's mind. Was this guy injured? Was it the reason he was here? But no, he was speaking to them as their new recruits. He also addressed Emory with his first name, unlike the others who had respect in their voice. Was this guy the leader of whatever this place was?

Then the silver haired girl became pumped up, eager to get into the 'superhero business'. Admittedly, it sounded like a good deal. Helping others and saving them from these Chaos people sounded good. With the addition of Emory's explanation of them assuring the security of their loved ones, Tooru was convinced. They seemed capable of doing it anyway. He then continued on to say that a training room was open. Tooru smiled and then stood up.

"I'm in. Let's do this." She said, walking over to the side Feon's bed which was closer to the door than hers. "Lead the way Mr. Taika." Tooru looked at the male who she had accidentally sent a scene earlier. She would also know what her power is which was good.

After Emory gave her the different options she thought them over. She wanted to prove herself to him but she knew it had been a long time since she caught a daemon. "I will help out with Kitty and Theo if they don't mind the extra backup. It wouldn't hurt to have extra help but I don't want to step on anyone's toes." She said looking over towards Kitty and Theo. She hoped they would not mind her helping out, but if she did she would understand.
