T H E W O R L D W A L K E R

Worldwalkers are known to most worlds and even if they aren't, most of the people from them have theories or myths and legends of them. They are individuals that have figured out ways to traverse the planes of existence, either from ancient portals or powerful magics. These people are only so common that the worlds to have knowledge of others, but to be a Worldwalker is rare. Enter the heroes of this tale. Men and women from various worlds who are important in their own unique way, that suddenly find themselves in ancient ruins with a man standing in the middle of it all, robed in gold and red. He called them there, forced them to appear in his realm, which only speaks to how truly powerful he is - or seems to be. Before long, he is going to ask them for help, to aid him in binding a creature. If they accept, they will have to travel to their own worlds and destroy whatever surprise is waiting for them right around the corner...

O V E R V I E W

Welcome to The Worldwalker! In this role-play, heroes from all sorts of different worlds will be summoned to one location. As you read above, the purpose is to help him capture and seal away an evil strange creature of sorts. What makes this role-play unique and hopefully much more fun is that everyone applying will not only come up with a legendary hero of sorts, but they will also come up with the world the hero comes from. As we move from world to world to catch the creature, each player will have a chance (not a requirement) to Co-GM that world with me. Not to mention though, each world can be as unique as you can imagine - from forests to seas to floating islands with ancient golems or even a steampunk world. Anything fantasy goes basically.

R U L E S

• GM has final say - This is ultimately my setting and plot, so while I want the players to have a heavy hand in molding it, there are certain things I will put my foot down on.
• Be respectful - We're all adults here (young or old), so treat others with respect even if you don't agree with them. If you have a problem you don't think you can solve or need a mediator, please contact the GM.
• For every post the GM makes, you're allowed to post once. There is no order, but do not post twice!
• Try and post every 5 days - If you can't make it, then please say something to the GM in PM or in the OOC (with the use of @Mention)! Even a simple message like, "I've been busy but still here!" Each update will buy you two days. This is just to make sure everyone is still alive and interested.
• If you don't post within 5 days, your turn will be skipped. If this happens twice, you will be out of the role-play. If you want to avoid this, message me or the Co-GM and let us know what's going on! I will even work with you to provide an exit for the character to join at a later time.
• Join the Discord chat - At least join, so people can contact and message you. This is to promote motivation and inspiration and community within the role-play. Try and check it when you can.
• When visiting your world, you're the Co-GM - This earns you the right to play NPCs, villians, control the government and such, but the GM also can over-rule you. To this extent, players must respect your role but also players are free to PM the GM if they have any issues with the temp Co-GM.
I have the right to add rules as I see fit.

Finally got the OOC up for everyone so they can start working on their own character sheet. However, PLEASE wait until mine is posted before posting your own completed sheet. If you want to post work in progresses here however, feel free. =) *Gives cookies*

@Lyla With the skills, I see there are 6 slots and a maximum of 21 points to be spent, does this mean we can spend more than a maximum of 5 points per skill or we can have more than 6?

@Dynamo Frokane Well you can't go beyond mastering a skill, so no, you can't spend more than 5 points. =p Bit yes you can have more than 6 skills. =)

I'm going to assume, since there is no Race section of the CS, that we all have to play as humans?

@Pathfinder mostly yes. If you have an idea for something else, please run it by me. I'm not opposed to other ideas if I think it fits the overall setting. =)

@Lyla I'm glad this was mentioned. My character is half elf from a somewhat traditional fantasy setting. Would this be okay?

(I have a fairly large and extensive lore built around his homeworld)

I'm going to scrap my original character, a troll warrior, in favor of a knight with deep ties to nature. Most likely being part plant because "Magic".

@Lyla do not worry about me flooding your thread with posts. I won't do that but I do have a suggestion.

Suggestion: I see that this is a roleplay that requires a creativity. Like building worlds. (Not every roleplay has that.) And if all these worlds see use in the roleplay. It's going to make the roleplay much longer.

An easier way to keep a roleplay alive longer is to limit members.

So I suggest keeping your roleplay group down to 4 people would be about right. And then as you get more comfortable and have actually managed to complete a story in somebodies world. Then you could add a member.

@Gareth - That's an idea worth considering, for sure. I know one player from another roleplay that's like 100% dedicated, so there's one... I'm going to think and process this, but it's sound advice.

@McHaggis - Absolutely!

Gonna start working on my sheet. This reminds me of a book I used to read, did you pull some influence from the Pendragon Series?

@Lyla
Question, does my character have to be alive? Like, a knight raised to serve his lord in death as he did in life?

@MonkeyBusiness Not at all. In fact, I pulled inspiration from combining fantasy and the popular "Multiverse/Crossover" RPs... but obviously with only original characters. =3

@Pathfinder Undead? Well... as long as it's a mostly good character. There's been examples of good-aligned undead before, so it's possible. I might be a tad picky about it, but yes.

He's a good guy, so is most of the Necromancers in his world. I'll explain it all in the CS.

Something I need clarification on, what exactly is the nature of our summons? Like, are we forewarned that we will be teleported out of our world or is it a "Boop, you're here now." type of deal?
