Okay everyone! I have an update regarding the possibility of playing as races other than human.
The short answer is that yes, you can.
The long answer is that your race has to be approved by myself and the GM's first. If you're interested in playing another race it is your responsibility to contact all three of us with a brief summary of your races attributes, history and their impact on the culture of Pandora. Keep in mind that Pandora is a nation run by a human theocracy. It is very unlikely that any race that isn't human will be treated equally by the Librarium or even the Royal Family that came before it 160 years ago.
We're not accepting any races that give your character a very large inherent advantage over others. So no celestial energy beings from other dimensions that can vomit stardust. We also hold the right to deny requests for other races based on numbers. Pandora is primarily human so if we see too many people starting to make non-human characters we will cut it off. At most, there should be no more than 4 in the cast. They will also have to be members of Cloud Chasers, because the Librarium isn't progressive enough to allow non-human soldiers into their ranks.
So yeah, it's a bit of a process, but creating another race is a big deal as it adds on to the world we're establishing. We want to encourage you guys to get involved in the world building, so we're putting it on you guys to provide all the information on your race and how they fit into the setting.
Also we may be falling a bit behind schedule because instead of getting stuff prepared for the roleplay I spent the day watching Weeds (love that show btw, highly recommend). Sorry, I'm only human. I make bad choices.
