There's still certain details that require GM approval, but the concepts are modular enough I can work with whatever stipulations they may have.
Both characters would be part of the Cloud Chasers.
Nemu is a somewhat naive, dream-eating mage from a frontier village, who has a poor grasp on reality. While she means no harm, she frequently gets herself into trouble, and by extension anyone with her.
The other is a sleaze bag with a heart of gold. Rhett is a fast-talking grifter who specializes in spatial magic, and has been on the Librarium's shitlist for several years. You can only lie, cheat, and steal for so long before you've made an enemy of every authority figure in the kingdom~
Edit; I also found some nifty cloud art vectors that we can use for Guild tattoos.

@BurningDaisiesMy character is hopefully going to be a Devilslayer, learned hius magic from his mother, who ended up turning into a Demon and trying to activate this change in her son as well(hewas around ten-ish when it happened), cutting off his arm in the process. He was saved by a Cloud Chaser mage and has been with them ever since. His arm got replaced by a robotic prosthetic that helps him with his secondary magic, which I'm planning to be some form of illusion magic. Not sure how yet.
Personality is not set in stone, but his current motivation is to find his mother and help turn her back from the insanity she's currently found herself in, while also being terrified of becoming that way himself. I'm thinking he uses illusion magic to hide his true feelings, similar to the one guy in Kagerou Days(if you've heard of that anime), making him appearto be a more happy-go-lucky guy then he is, but still not sure about it yet.
For possible connections, Rhett could've saved him with Spatial magic to getthem both the hell out of dodge(depends on age though, as my guy is currently 19) while with Nemu, they could be good friends perhaps have a sort of sibling-esque relationship? My slayer constantly being on the lopk out for Nemu in ordsr to keep them out of as much trouble as possible.
@Raijinslayer Mmm~ I'm guessing the prosthetic arm has some kind of lacrima inside of it?
Nemu comes from a lineage of not-quite-so-human mages that have been marginalized over the years and regarded with suspicion or disgust. Similar to how gypsies in some European countries are treated. As a child She has a problem with wandering off on her own and playing with the dream creatures she can conjure. The Cloud Chasers rescued her along with some of their own comrades when they raided one of the Librarium's prisoner transport ships. She been with them ever since. I guess I could see them acting like siblings, if they had been together for a long time. Admittedly, I haven't really decided on her age, maybe somewhere between 14-17?
Rhett is definitely older, nearly in his mid-30's now. He's a seasoned miscreant and an inveterate liar. Depending on which rumors you listen too, he's a former a spy for a prominent merchants guild, defected officer from the Librarium, assassin from a distant kindgom, or a street hustler who's rampant success landed him in hot water. His common phrases are "Truth, like beauty, is in the eye of the beholder." and "Always remember to shoot a man in the back. It's safer that way."
Rhett could have easily saved your devil-slaying from a brush with the Librarium, but in all likelihood, it was probably a matter of coincidence that he was there to begin with. He was probably there to steal something and was on his way out when he found your character.
Out of pure curiosity: who is planning on creating a Cloud Chaser and who is thinking of creating a Librarium? Tinkering with character ideas for both, but it would be hard to be a part of the story if my character was the only one loyal to the Librarium decree (though definitely possible... Maybe even fun. Mmm...)
@EmpathKio's making a Libarium charater, and I might make one in the future, depends on how my first character goes.
@BurningDaisiesMy guy entered when he was ten, so their is definitely range for the relatio ship to develop, though that mainly depends on when she was captured herself. How long was the plan for her to be in the guild?
Edit: Yeah, the arm has lacrima inside of it, both for power functions and magic.
Also, would Rhett try to take care of my chara ter upon saving him, or treat him like an tag-along(my character would think of him as a father-figure as he knew his own father growing up.)
@Raijinslayer Father-figure? Prepare to have terrible daddy issues. Rhett makes for a very bad parent. xD He's more like an uncle who drops by on occasion to tell inappropriate jokes and unlikely stories, but leaves as quickly as he appears.
As for Nemu, I think she would have a hard time finding anyone else willing to take her in, especially after being labeled as a fugitive by the librarium. So her stay with the Cloud Chaser would be long-term, if not permanent.

I am. A little on the fence though. I want to try and balance the cast, for example, if we have too many Chasers, I'll make a Librarium and vis versa.
@BurningDaisies figured as much xD. He seemed like the type to be more cut and run when it came to kids and dealing with them. Also, I worded my Nemu question weird. What I meant to ask was how long d she ben part of the guild? Going from rescue to present day.
@Empath I'm also working on a Librarium character. It's mostly a rough image at this point though and will probably stay that way till we get an OOC going.
I was intending to get the OOC up today, but I have to ask if you could hold out for just a little longer. I really haven't been in a good state these last couple of days. I know what the reason is; my sleep schedule has been downright awful. I'm resetting it, so I stayed up all of last night and won't be sleeping until 7pm. That should put things back in order.

In the meantime I'm going to just suffer.
No harm waiting another day or two. Hope you feel better.
Whew, here is my prototype CS, based off of the prototype CS template
I must say, I LOVE this character. He is up there with some of my favorite that I have ever created. I admit, I tinkered around with the CS quite a bit, but I am very pleased with the results.
Interesting fact: This is probably the shortest history I have ever written, but it contains so much more then what I put down.
Edit: Also note the last name. It it veeeery important. :3

Marcus is...surprisingly laid back with he is not in his role as Judge Magister. He is easygoing, and affiable quick to make a quip and laugh. He is friendly and open speaking plainly, with sincerity. However, when he dones the armor, his business face comes out. He becomes distant and cold. Try to talk to him when he is like this, and you will get a curt answer. He will mercilessly carry out his orders without fail, and to the best of his abilities. No matter what. Duty, Honor, Loyalty, Courage, Justice, Valor. These ideals mean everything to him. He seeks to uphold the law, and the peace. Dispite this, he is still fair and compassionate, he will try to resolve things without a fight, or if a fight comes, end it with minimal bloodshead. His is slow to anger but when he does, he goes off like a volcano. He believes in what he does, but he is nither blind, nor stupid, he knows that the Librarium is not without its corruption, but he sees them as the best way to peace, and so he chooses to side with them.
But deep in his heart, he just wants to be free. There is no logic to it, no rational, he just wants freedom.
History:
Marcus, or Whirlwind as he prefers to be called, was born to a powerful and old Mage family who can trace their ancestry back for hundreds of years. Most everyone in the family bears powerful magic, however, the family is not particularly fruitful, children are rare, siblings even more so. As it happened, his parents were fortunate enough to have two, him and his younger sister named Amara.
They were happy for a time.
But then, the Librarium came. As prominent Mages, they were the first to be targeted, at first with threats, then financial pressure, then attempts to kill them. One such attempt killed his Mother and Amara.
His father swore revenge, and he delved deep into forbidden research. Marcus could only watch helplessly as his Father decended into madness. His lust for power and revenge, and his hate for those who killed his wife and daughter consumed him. He beat and mistreated Marcus, forced cruel experiments and cast unwholesome magic on him. Unable to take it anymore, Marcus ran.
He ran and he ran, but he got nowhere.
The Librarium easily tracked him down, and offered him an ultimatum: Join them, or be killed. He chose to join them. At first, they were understandably suspicious, but Marcus seemed to harbor no resentment toward them, and he made the most of his situation. Time and time again, he proved his loyalty by fighting for them, killing their enemies and furthing their goals. He rapidly rose through their ranks, soon becoming a Judge Magistrater; one of the leaders of their military forces, tasked with doing their dirty work. He was scorned and feared by allies and the public alike for his unnatural fighting abilities, and unwavering loyalty. As for what he truly believes in, he keeps his opinions close to him, never showing what he is thinking.
Magic:
Whirlwind possesses a massive natural reservoir of Magic, and he can output similarly massive amounts of it, making even simple spells have devastating power. However, due to personal choices, and a lack of any training, his is unable and unwilling to use his full potential. Due to his repressed talants, he has no known specific magic. He mainly utilizes it only with Burst to enhance his physical combat ability.
Burst: A simple controlled explosion of pure magical energy. Whirlwind can use this in multiple ways, by directing the force behind him, he can charge with incredible speed, or direct it behind an attack to enhance its force and speed. It is the only magic he knows and uses, but he utilizes it creatively with great effect.
Weapons and Equipment:
An incredibly massive greatsword-like weapon, so heavy that it requires two hands from even the strongest of humans to wield properly, however, Whirlwind handles it easily with one. Built into the blade is a special engine with a gun-like cartridge. The engine can be activated, and when swung, the engine generates tremendous centrifugal force, brutally chopping through whatever is unfortunate enough to be in the blade's way through sheer impact. When engaged with a cartridge, the blade can be charged with magic, in the elements of fire, ice or electricity, further increasing the damage of this terrifying weapon. However, when it was first produced, it was comsidered impractical at best, and a danger to the wielder at worst. The Drive Blade's motor generates tremendous waste heat, and after every such attack, must allow the blade to cool down between swings, otherwise, it could melt the blade, and or or blow up the engine. The amount of force produced along with its massive size maked the weapon difficult to control. Production of them was discontinued, due to the lack of people who were able and or willing to weild this mighty weapon, until Whirlwind took a liking to it, and proved that it was useable. As a last resort, the engine can also also absorb and store large amounts of Magic then then release it all for incredible widespread damage, however, this burns out the motor completely, rendering it little more than a large sword until it can be repaired.
He wears a great suit of Magic Armor. As they go, it is nothing special, save for being of a high quality. It provides moderate protection against Magic, and great protection against Physical attacks.
Miscs :
He wears a beautiful ring, a very old family heirloom.
Knows how to pilot an airship.
Never play Poker with him. He is skilled at cheating, and has a poker-face that makes stones blush with envy.
"Owns" a private Airship lent to him by the Librarium for his use. It is lightly armed, and lightly armored, but fast and maneuverable.
@Crimson Raven I still need to make my Librium Character. He will be a Slayer of his own, but I have a concept on what and who he will be. But this guy looks really nice :D
