Um... well basically, magically is extremely frowned upon in Hiertania. They are different, therefore they must be destroyed is the mindset. If you want to have some princesses, they would probably be disowned by the people, especially now that the king is dead.

No, it's just that the thought of a princess going magical apeshit is hilarious. Poor Andromalius probably strained the thing a lot with "mom, imma marry a witch instead of a noble family, k?" in the eyes of Hiertanians. It probably took Lucrecia to deploy lightning to fight for the kingdom to turn it into begrudging acceptance as their queen.

There could be girls that are disowned princess commoners that go magic apeshit, but they would also have less power than their grandmother.

I like the idea that she basically used force to be the queen, though, she probably would have assassination attempts on her a lot.

She didn't use force per se to reassert herself. She just basically tagged along her beloved and happened to destroy who threatened him. Retainers probably stood a few steps back when they realized who they were trying to bully.

The assasination attempts were the reason why she left once she made sure her children (the King and Regent) were properly raised.

I also apologize for all the silly names (Andromalius) and probably changes in the canon for actual royal descendants. I can settle with modifications and changes aswell.

The names are fine and really, I haven't chosen the family name for the royalty yet.

Alright, I'm signing up as a Champion for the Crown and the Foreign Princess. If anyone's playing related characters and wants to plan, then tell me.

@AimeChambers Speaking of which, the regent king is almost finished. I'm using "de Hiertania" as a placeholder until we have a canon surname for the royals.

@AtomicNut I'm also looking forward to see a reserved Lucrecia reconnecting with her rather brazen son.

She'd probably break down in tears and try to hug her son. Cause no matter how emotionally stunted she is, she lost her other son. She would probably even conjure rain over the capital to reflect her mood.

I'm interested in participating.
According to the first post, you have no princesses yet? I'm interested in playing as the older half-sister to the princes, the daughter of the king's first wife who died. (Maybe the full sister of the crown prince [probably not; it looks like the queen mother would rather have both sons] and the half sister of the second prince?) Or as the full-blooded sister. Or as the king's sister's daughter. I'm not picky. And I would say whether my character is betrothed or not is up to the GM.
I also like family trees and would probably end up making one if involved.

The queen mother would be grandmother to the crown prince, so there -should- be no issue with having a full blooded sister for them if that is what you wish! However, I am not the GM, so you'll have to wait for Aime's okay first!

:) Actually, what I would like most is to be half-sister to the second. Whether I'm half or full sister to the first I don't have a strong preference on.

(I don't usually use anime pictures. Do you know of a good source I could look through to select from?)

Does this means that the royal princesses (who are her grandaughters) can have magic if they wish to, and they'd be unopposed? XD

Ooh, I just saw this.
My character would be a responsible princess. In reading more about your character, I wondered whether mine might have a love/hate relationship with her grandma. And if my character realized she may be capable of magic, it would probably frighten her. (And whether or not my character has sisters or cousins, unless the king had an older sister who had a daughter at a young age, my character would be the oldest granddaughter of your character.)

@AAB animecharactersdatabase.com has always been pretty solid for me. It gives you a lot of useful parameters to filter your results and then you can google a character's name if you find something that's close to what you are looking for.

I'm pretty sure the Princes have the same parental situation so in that case it would most likely make you half-sibling to both, though again, I'm not final say!
zerochan.net is a good one! The tags are pretty well organized to search for exactly what you want, or as close as it gets.

I may have to tweak some things, but for now here is our conceited confident regent king!

@AAB@Sarcelle Renard@AimeChambers And now I am thinking Lucrecia arrives on top of an eagle, LOTR style and scares the crap out of the garrison before sheepily saying "It has been years" to her son/ the Captain of the Guard.

*Hey, Aime! I was wondering if a female servant for the second prince was acceptable. In any case, once the second prince gets the CS up, I'll be revising what needs to be edited!

Almost everyone in the castle knows that Anatole looks out for merits in actions, and when people act without purpose, that is one sure-fire way to piss the living daylights out of the woman.
Cubix

Uh oh. I have a feeling she won't exactly like how the first prince has "changed" after his father's death! (It's hard to act with purpose when you're not exactly sure everything that you're supposed to do!)

SOOO much is happening in the OOC and I'm so happy! It's a shame I've been gone because all this is really cool! Now on to the questions, starting out first with @AAB

The king would be extremely fearful and against having a girl as a princess because of the magical bloodline. Which meant that she may have been sent away from the castle if a girl was actually born. However! There is a loop hole! The Witch Queen could have had a daughter as well before she left for the mountains and after the King ascended the throne, she wasn't exactly banished, but put under house arrest far away from the castle. There she was heavily watched in case she showed some kind of magical power and was allowed any luxury she wished.

Then the queen had a baby and she either died in childbirth or died of sickness. The King had never found any sign of magic from his sister in later years (whether she hid them, or the blood's power skipped a generation) and the King reluctantly accepted to bring her into the castle. He always was planning to use her as a political marriage with a prince from Kyim (I haven't worked on their country yet, so yeah...) But before they could work on actually dates for marriage, he fell ill. So she has a betrothed and is not allowed to fraternize with boys.

A few things... She would never be loved by the King, just extra baggage given by his weird sister, but that doesn't mean that the princes and the queen didn't like her! The queen was a kind hearted woman that died to young, but she probably would have taken care of the princess.

NEXT! @Cubix I am totally ok with getting a personal servant of the second prince, though you may need to go in specifics with @Chiru about the details that she knows about his plans. I'll read the CS as soon as I get done with the Regent king's
