Just got a new job and will be sleeping at a wickedly early time to put myself in an optimistic mood tomorrow. I already have a concept for my character and I'll have it finished soon. ;)

Finally caught up on the intro posts! This looks really phenomenal y'all.

Might have a few questions I'll push your way soon (intentionally vague).

I am nearly done with my sheet. I am up to Regalia. I do have a question though. How lenient are you in terms of weapon/armor tech? I imagine SOLDIER has some good funding to be able to afford nice tech, just wondering what the scope is. As I said, I am going a Sniper type that can also heal if needed.

@FantasyChic - As far as the level of tech is concerned, this is a world of advanced technology and SOLDIER would have much of this available to them. Custom weaponry and the like would be the norm amongst individual SOLDIERs, so I'd say we're pretty lenient on what you can create and how creative you can be. Unless it's glaringly overpowered or overly outlandish, I doubt we'll have a problem with it.

@RocketteHi, I'm interested but I'm a little unclear on some things. What exactly are Aeons? Why is there a war throughout all of Viera? Do SOLDIERS have any physical scarring/deformities as a result of their combination with Aeons?

@The Survivor - Aeons are the entities that fell from the sky, basically. I'm not sure if we're revealing full details about them at this time so I'll hold off for Rockette on that one.

The war started because monsters appeared alongside the falling of Aeons. These creatures don't care who they attack, they just attack and normal conventions of dealing with threats didn't suffice for these types of beasts, thus SOLDIER. There's also little political battles and others things concerning advanced technology and things we haven't touched on quite yet.

It's not specifically stated, but considering the Aeons are bonding to the DNA of SOLDIERS through splicing genetic material, I'm not sure that would cause any outer scarring. I'll let Rockette hit that one too.

On my way home from work, I'll answer questions when I get there and dig into this food because wings are life.

My character is now up under the tab as well. The background is still a work-in-progress because this new work schedule is not my friend, but I figured since that's the only part that's not all the way finished, I can still put up the character for reference and what not.

@FantasyChic - Alright, I'll be first up. This is a nicely done sheet. A character who can not only heal, but buff is a good addition and honestly someone needs to play the support role. I don't see any glaring issues so it's all good on my end.

Once Rockette gets on, she'll run through and give you the final approval. Good job though, I expect she'll like it too.

@The Survivor - This is an excellent series of questions, and I'm glad you asked them.
Aeons - in truth - we don't really know what they are. However, the best way to describe them is of extraterrestrial creatures that fell from the sky, upon meteors, that impacted the world. Many people assumed them as one, aliens, and two, fallen gods. Depending on the course of belief one chooses. The exact origins of them is a detail we are not revealing at this time. But, for character creation, all the experiments they've done was to try and find out what they are, and so far they've only concluded to just use their power for their own good.

The war is a result from conflicting political beliefs and the revoking of Aeon cells that were used in pharmaceutical campaigns that benefited the public. Their cells were found with unique adaptive qualities that could repair cellular damage, also evident in their own regeneration through the years they explored and experimented. But they suddenly stopped them, for what reasons? It's unknown to the public. The monsters mentioned only appeared just recently, that sort of set the tides of war to overflow into the present state of things.

Yes, characters bear scars and slight deformities, dependent to the state of the bond they have with the Aeon. Some are slight, like pointed teeth, fluctuating eyes, colours within skin tone and hair, and perhaps texture to their outer extremities. And of course, scarring. Whilst the characters maintain human appearances, there will be slight things that make them not so much human either.

@FantasyChic - I'm impressed with this characters when compared to previous ones I've seen from you, she's your best yet. The effort shows, and I'm happy to see it and the sheet is wonderfully put together. Excellent use of colour and order. Now there's only one thing, her induction into SOLDIER. The programme is considered a secret, and only privy to maybe those of rich background or were inducted into the military before hand, and thus selected or volunteered. So, for her background to be plausible, I'd like to see some inclusion to her adoptive parents' involvement within in the government or were apart of the wealth and heavily money endowed families that are integrated with the govern and military. This would help tie in her training to become apart of SOLDIER from the beginning.

Other than that, she's accepted.

@Rockette ah yeah, I kind of insinuated they were part of the government without outright saying so. I will edit.
