See, this is the kind of discussion I've been wanting to cultivate by putting it up in the air like this. I want us to discuss strategy. Realistically, the general plan would be laid out in advance, it was touched on lightly when Ritsu recommended an infiltration, rather than a frontal assault.
Now if we go at this with an intent to destroy outer defense turrets then whatever plan we had to infiltrate is ruined because the second we start blowing up turrets, the fireworks start. If we can stealth in, skirt past those turrets and only engage when we have to, use diversions, etc, like an actual infiltration mission would, then I, at least, need to change out my assault pack to better fit the profile of the mission. Instead of a shield generator, a stealth field, instead of the rifle shooting damaging rounds, using emp rounds, etc.
Let us design a general plan of attack, then pick who uses the packs, and design the packs around that mission type. Because my currently approved assault pack is intended for, relatively, maximum damage. That will work if there is going to be a decoy party left outside to draw the attention of the defenses while the rest of the group is inside setting to work rescuing and capturing. It will be pretty useless if we are intending to all sneak in undetected and only fighting if we have to.
