Also, I guess we should probably figure out the winner of the Duel since next turn will likely decide things. I kinda want Ayami to win just because bricks are dangerous and karma is a bitch, but in the end it's your choice, I guess.

@PKMNB0Y - If you really wanted to go the 'karma route' it'd be more apt if Ghoulish Rider - Traveler of the Highway of Hell lost to @Eklispe, the actual person he targeted with the brick, who utilizes gambling shenanigans which could fall under a belief motif considering gotta hope chance is on your side.

On normal occasions, should one intrude into a duel in the middle of battle, they would take 2000 lifepoint's worth of damage. However, because of the special rules of the tournament, that same rule does not apply.

Also it depends on who you post after. I'd assume you're waiting for PKMNB0Y to post, in which case, it would be: Ayami, Matt, Fyodor, Ayami, Matt, Fyodor.

Also, I really want to see an actual archetype that synchro summons off of ritual summoning. At least, more so than people making Tzolkin off tributing the hieratics for Saffira.

Does imterruping a duel start a chain and if so, what spell speed does it have?

1. Is it alright if the character I make is another member of Utopia House?
2. How much bullshit top-decking is to be expected during duels? The main post says we run by anime rules, but I didn't want to assume "every single draw."
3. Is it preferred for characters to have Solar Legacies or not?
4. We're allowed up to three custom cards. Does that mean three custom cards per deck, or three types of custom cards? (9 custom cards total)
5. Is there a discord or something for this RP?
6. Is this custom card balanced?

I'm just a card game guy, so i'm not going to answer much about the rp. But that's a Heavy Storm and Dark hole on legs, and with an effect that allows you to bring it out once every turn for no cost, the thing could be a little bitty broken. Especially with level 1 monsters having some great swarming capability, Meklord emperors, access to Hope Zexal through Utopia Roots. This card would clean up fantastically in a Kinky Piper Meklord deck with very few downsides. I'd recommend either giving it an attack boost and removing the battle damage effect, or slowing it down by adding a cost or removing the graveyard effect entirely.

Mystic Piper isn't very useful in a metagame where 3 Pots of Greed per deck is okay, but I see how Meklords might be trouble.

Can we not talk meta in a rp please meta shouldn't have a place here (not saying you can't bring meta decks but don't mention meta when clueless people like me are here)

Metagame, meta for short, is simply a term that refers to what you expect people to do based on what people tend to do, generally because the thing they're doing is good at winning. It's the reason "anti-meta" decks use Fossil Dyna Pachycephalo.

I don't intend to use meta decks, (or even 3 Pots) as they're not very fun imo, (or in the case of excessive pots, will simply feel broken) especially in an RP environment. That being said, 3 Pot of Greeds would* be part of "the meta" simply because Pot of Greed is a broken card. (*though from glancing at the character apps, it doesn't seem to be) and because of that, the card Mystic Piper, which provides the same draw power but with a requirement (top-decking a level one monster) and cost, (of summoning it) probably wouldn't be able to justify its place in a deck.

I'm typically not going to keep you out of a house just because there are a lot of people in it already.

Having a Solar Legacy is preferred.

You start with 3. 1 of them is presumably your Solar Legacy. The other 2 can be whatever.

I can see it being a neat tech in a Yang Zing or Fire King deck, but doesn't look too impressive otherwise.

Fire High King Garunix OP pls nerf. It's really not that bad. An artifacts player might see it and go. "Hey. Free plus." Or someone could be crazy like me and tech in Starlight Road or My Body as Swag. Though not off the second take because even though it doesn't get to use its 3rd effect off its 2nd effect, that's non-destruction removal which I don't agree with and in that aspect I prefer the first take. Out of the first take I'd either remove the graveyard effect or give it a more difficult summoning condition. Maybe make it once per duel.

I've talked about this twice. Yes. Talking about the IRL meta game within the RP is going out of character and thus bad form. Don't do it. I don't really mind OOC chatter about it though. As in right here and not as a character.

When I said no banlist though, the big thing I wanted to see was themed decks and like a majority of the player characters don't have themed decks. Gambling is nice, Madolches are nice, Zombies are nice, Dustons were nice. RIP.

Garunix is like Black rose dragon, it needs setup to pull off with at least two cards dedicated to nuking, and it's not like it doesn't have it's own problems. When they made a generic, splashable nuke effect, it was banned. I still miss you, Exciton Knight. You were too beautiful for this sinful pendulum world

@Blight Bug: I should be able to write something up in a few, but first things first...

As I said before, I'm going to activate a Decisive from hand on the attack on Valkyrus, so that attack from Pyramid Turtle likely won't go off (and even if it's not Decisive, I can activate Gungnir, still take damage, but the Turtle still shouldn't swing). Waiting for an edit before I do that... Stuff. Then Eklispe can jump in and go wild to take you out after. 's how it'll go, right?
